Traditional stone house in picturesque village, self catering summer rental
Spiti Anna is an old stone farmhouse which has been lovingly restored to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
The living room is spacious with original wooden floor and lovely outlook.
The kitchen is modern and well equipped but retains the original stone oven.
The dining room /TV room opens onto the kitchen. Two charming bedrooms open onto the lower garden.
There are 2 bathrroms, one with shower and toilet,en suite to master bedroom. The second which is recently renovated has a bath and shower..
. The outside upper terrace has a built-in barbecue and the balcony, which is ideal for evening dining, has a splendid view down a valley of cypress and olive trees to the sea.
The garden is on different levels offering a variety of secluded seating areas. A hammock, strung between the fig and olive tree makes a siesta tempting and creates a perfect swing for children. This is an ideal self-catering summer rental for those wanting to get away from it all and discover an untouched part of Greece.

We spent a lovely week in Annie's House.
First of all, Annie is a great host and will give you all the advice you need. The house is not only beautiful but also very comfortable with all the little details that matter: washing powder, mosquito plugs, beach gear, extensive library, and basic items in the very well equipped kitchen.
The views from the terrace and most windows are stunning, like a painting one cannot look away from.
A stone's throw away are two of the most beautiful beaches we have seen on the island, Almyrichi and Limnionas.
We would recommend Spiti Ana to anybody who loves authentic Greece, tranquility and beautiful natural scenery.
Thanks Annie, we hope to come back soon.
I am so glad you enjoyed it all so much.
I look forward to welcoming you all back again.
Thank you, Catherine
A charming house in a delightful setting
Spiti Anna is a sympathetically converted farm house situated on a hillside in the small village of Raptei. If you want to get away from mainstream tourism and enjoy peace and quiet look no further. It is accessed via a rather narrow and in some places steepish road so no passing heavy traffic - in fact very little traffic of any kind. The rooms are all a good size, the kitchen modern and well equipped and thick stone walls keep out the heat very effectively , the temperature was in the 40s when we were there and we really didn't miss airconditioning, although Annie provides large fans we didn't need them.
Evia has many beaches worth visiting and although the best known Limionas beach gets rather busy at weekends there are many almost deserted beaches within reasonable driving distance and the drive is usually worthwhile in its own right. (I recommend the Anavasi map of Evia & Skyros, it is printed on a plastic material almost impossible to tear and is available on line)
Evia and especially Spiti Anna is a delightful combination, Annie will make you more than welcome, we can't wait to return.
Beautiful and atmospheric house
We booked Spiti Anna for one week in July together with our two daughters of 7 and 9 and we all loved the house. It has a beautiful garden (with hammock) and terrace overlooking the surroundings and the sea. The house is very nicely decorated, clean with a great atmosphere. Every morning a van visited the tiny village to sell lovely fresh bread and yoghurt. The friendly neighbours brought us eggs and vegetables of their own land as well. Limniona Beach is only 8 minutes drive and we found it one of the most beautiful beaches of Evia. We enjoyed dinners in a.o. Limniona beach, Nea Styra and Styra. Annie is a very nice and warm lady, ensuring our stay to be as comfortable as possible. We would defenitely recommend Spiti Anna and would love to come back!

Lovely house, great beaches and walks
The place is exactly like the photos. Very neat, clean and homely inside. It has been restored with enormous care and was very spacious for our family of four; a house of great character. We always ate in the local taverna, where it was very much local food and delicious. There is plenty of choice for beautiful beaches and dramatic seaside walks. The owner was very helpful and wanted to make sure we had a good stay. We appreciated that she was so relaxed and was happy to have us use her fire, which provided a glorious heat and atmosphere during the October evenings. We would be very happy to go again. An excellent family destination, but also good for a couple - has space, but still cosy. Highly recommended by us.
Perfect house for our family vacation. Two good sized bedrooms downstairs that easily accommodated myself and husband and two boys 6 and 4.5 yrs old with a bathroom and upstairs my sister was able to sleep in the living room comfortably and when we had an additional visitor there was space for them too!. Upstairs bathroom is new and has a nice bathtub which was great for the boys. Beautiful beaches about 15 min away with great caves for exploring and fantastic tavernas for lunch. The village itself is quiet so this was the perfect location for us to spend a relaxing family holiday! Plenty of space inside and out for the boys to explore they even found goats grazing in the neighboring property that they fed leaves to. We will definitely be back!
Do you like reading a book in perfect atmosphere ?
We spent a fortnight in Spiti Anna in late summer 2010.
My wife is an architect. She fell in love immediately with the pictures on Spiti Anna´s homepage while trying to find a holiday location for our family with three children between 9 and 13 years of age.
The owner lives nearby and is a very pleasant guide to the village and its history.
We felt Spiti Anna gave us a lot of energy thanks to it authentic style, its extremely quiet location and Anne, the owner and rebuilder of the house and the real heart of Spiti Anna.
The island of Evia offers plenty of uncrowded beaches (we spent end of season holidays there) and a very agreeable climate due to plenty of sunshine with refreshing warm winds.
We would recommend Spiti Anna to families with children up to the age of around twelve years, children above that age might feel a bit to far away from interesting "hot spots".
One thing to mention is, that we found it very useful to have travelled by car, because the variety of nice sightseeings and beaches is restricted to people who can manage to make many kilometers a day.
If you are a keen walker you might like to walk to get your daily food in the centre of the village or even walk to the beach, but it´ll take you around 15 or 45 mins respectively - one way.
As an ecologically correct tourist you might find it a better idea to bring a donkey to Greece.
Enjoy Spiti Anna !
You WILL like it a lot !
Only two and a half hours from Athens airport, the village of Raptei offers a traditional way of life, long gone from most of Greece. It is well situated for walking and exploring yet close to spectacular beaches and lively cafes and tavernas. 5 kms away is the magnificent beach of Limnionas with wonderful snorkeling and excellent fish tavernas.10 kms away is the seaside town of Nea Styra, where there are many cafes, supermarkets and shops - post office bank etc. The area is interesting historically, not least for the famous prehistoric Dragon Houses of Styra. Karystos, one hour drive south of Raptei, is dominated by a Venetian castle and has a charming archaeological museum. Other Activities: Swimming/snorkeling, visiting ancient historic sites, sampling local cuisine, farmers' market, watching sunset and evening promenade.
