I am a teacher who has been teaching mathematics for 21 years, high school and middle school levels in the United States and abroad. Besides my passion of teaching youngsters, I am an avid gardener and traveler. I spend all my breaks traveling with my family. After the arrivals of my boys, we switched from hotel to vacation rentals. We have been using vacation rentals for thirteen years and understand what it takes to feel at home when we are away from home. We like to share all the comforts that our vacation home has to offer for guests who enjoy traveling like us.
Anh Nguyen purchased this house in 2006
In May 2006, this home was built for us, a young family with two sons who are competitive swimmers. We love the quietness and convenience of the place as well as the easy access to all outdoor activities for ourselves. So the house has featured that lend themselves to that lifestyle. We believe that the time we spend together as family benefits our children's young and adult life.
My parents and along with two other couples spent three weeks at this house. They couldn't stop raving about beautiful, nice and spacious the house was. It accommodated the 6 people very nicely. My parents and their friends went to Fl to golf. They were pleased with the number of golf courses in the area though they were a little disappointed that the golf course the house is located on was closed for maintenance. The owners were very responsive to any questions or concerns they had. My parents and their friends have said that if they return to FL again, they would love to stay in this house again.
While this home certainly has some positive qualities (and I will list them in paragraph two), there also are some part truths in the description. The "secured" golf course community has no more security than locks on the home's doors. The home actually sits directly adjacent to a rather busy road with the barrier of a large shrub on that side. The lanai is HUGE. It is also terribly dirty and with one working light bulb about 15 feet off the ground. The furnishings in the lanai consisted of four plastic chairs that were quite dirty. The "grill" is a small metal propane cooktop on a terribly dirty metal table. This all makes the lanai mostly unusable and an unpleasant space. The landscape, while once possibly beautiful, is in need of much care. Each the kitchen sink and one of the master bathroom sinks dripped continuously. We had trouble accessing the WiFi. The owner said she would have someone call to help us about WiFi but we got no call.
The positives are that Apopka was a nice community with many things for us to do and is easily accessible to other areas. The lot is huge. The owner was prompt in responding when setting up the stay and also while we were at the house. The house is quite large and all on one level and with a bit more attention to the details, it could be great.
we stayed in this home for 4 weeks in Feb. We loved this home. It is in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The home is just as the pictures show. The back of the home has a screened in back porch which we spent our mornings. The back yard is fenced in. The kitchen is very well stocked. Their are 5 tvs in the house. We couldnt have asked for anything better. I would highly recommend stay here. When we contacted the home owners with any questions they responded very quickly.
