About Kenny Barr

We moved to Eugene separately, in 1975-1976. Both of us thought if we liked the area then we would stay, and if not we'd leave. We've never left. We love the Pacific Northwest, and especially Oregon. Loving Eugene says a lot about us personally. We enjoy meeting new friends, and know the area very well in case you're looking for some recommendations.

Please tell us a little about your planned visit. It helps us when we know who we're speaking with. Thanks.

Why Kenny Barr chose Eugene

This is where we live year round. Our home is in the back of the property, in an apartment that's mostly over the garage (separate everything.) The location is ideal. Walking distance to groceries and restaurants; walking and bike trails along the Willamette river; the UO campus including Hayward Field and Matthew Knight Arena; buses that leave to the doorstep of Autzen Stadium a few blocks from the home; a short jog to both the Amazon Running Trail, and also the Prefontaine Trail. And there's an easy drive to the Oregon Coast, Cascade Mountains, Crater Lake, rivers and lakes, rafting and fishing, mountain biking, golfing and winter sports. An outdoor paradise.

Eugene also has a symphony, ballet, opera, galleries, the Bach Festival, and numerous cultural events. The Cuthbert Amphitheater in summer months is an unbeatable venue for concerts of all types.

What makes this house unique

One of 'Eugene's finest neighborhoods'. Quiet and tree lined, every home is different. The Location couldn't be better. In addition you get Jeanne and Kenny as your very gracious hosts.

A beautiful property in a perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at this property while in Eugene, and hope to be back out west and stay there again. We felt at home fe the minute we walked in to this beautiful kept three bedroom home. We made nearly all of our meals in the kitchen, spent evenings relaxing on the beautiful back porch, were within waking distance of the University of Oregon campus, and also enjoyed a fantastic playground with a splash park just two blocks away with our two year old. We love Oregon, we love Eugene, and our stay at this house made our fourth trip out from Pennsylvania our greatest yet!

We loved staying at this cute and well-appointed house in the College Hill neighborhood for our son's graduation from U of O. Lots of room, clean, and beautiful sunny deck. Book this for next year before someone beats you to it!

Great stay for UO Family Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Perfect house for my husband and I and another couple who also has a daughter at UO. We drove up from the Bay Area for Homecoming/Family weekend at UO. The location was an easy walk to campus, and a nearby shuttle bus pick up for the game Saturday night. The house was spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. The fireplace was a bonus on a chilly November evening. Kenny was a gracious host, responding to our needs within minutes. Very private, beautiful home. We look forward to returning in the future!
