Perfect for a family get together or group of friends
About Emma Marsh
Adam and I love Italy and this beautiful villa, we have two young children and frequently make the trip over to spend time at La Serra. We met and fell in love at the villa, lived in Italy for a year, and moved home to the UK to get married and have our children. Since then there have been many engagements on the terrace, and it's a very special place for us.
Emma Marsh purchased this Villa in 2001
Why Emma Marsh chose Fivizzano
Adam's father renovated the property - when he first found it the villa was a derelict farm house with the most staggering view. Now we have inherited this lovely villa, with its 6 bedrooms, infinity pool, exposed beams, beautiful stonework and still the extraordinary views. The people are so special here, we have come to see them as our Italian family. It is a place to escape to, it's good for the soul.
What makes this Villa unique
Podere La Serra is luxuriously quiet, it really is an oasis, perched up in the beautiful Tuscan hills. Sitting out on the terrace with a glass of wine listening to the church bells and soaking up the glorious sunshine is one of life's greatest pleasures. Our children love the pool, and we find that here we can truly relax and just enjoy being together.

Just got back from the most wonderful week. The pictures do not do the villa justice.
Thank you Emma and Adam allowing us to enjoy your beautiful villa, all the rooms were lovely with stunning views over the countryside.
Well stocked kitchen, great pizza oven and BBQ.
Plenty of indoor space if needed (we did not) with lots of games.
Outside area large under covered table and lovely area by the Pizza oven which was a great sun trap , pool was lovely again with stunning views.
What else can I say Thank you again

Although the property is somewhat off the beaten track, it was well worth it for the most amazing setting. In the mountains of Tuscany, the scenery was everchanging and the infinity pool could not have been better placed. The villa was large and every bedroom had a bathroom. It was spotless and had all the modern amenities, while still having that old world charm.
Amazing villa, perfect location for family holiday.
Amazing villa in a stunning location. The perfect location for a relaxing and 'off grid' holiday away from everything.
Villa is beautifully furnished in rustic and comfortable style, very well equipped for large groups/ families.
House, garden and pool well maintained, and spotless. Angela (housekeeper) is a gem and keeps everything in good order. Strongly recommend inviting her to cook a meal at the villa, as we enjoyed three fantastic meals cooked by her.
Brilliant holiday, no complaints at all!
Bueutiful villa with great setting and ammenities
We had a great week at Podere La Serra in Tuscany. The villa is beautiful with six spacious bedrooms, two full kitchens, wonderful common areas, an infinity pool and a setting that belongs in a painting. We traveled to several points of interest from the villa (Cinque Terre, Florence, Lucca) and also visited the local towns including Fivizzano and Aulla, and the castles and hill top towns including Fisdinovo where we had a great history lesson at Castello Malaspina.
We spent two days just relaxing and enjoying the villa property that includes acres and acres of olive trees and grape vines.....
We wish we were still there......and we will come back......
Perfect house for a relaxing holiday
We were 11 people, 2 families with adult children who spent a week in June at Podere La Sera. The house is big and comfortable with plenty of room for a large group. Everything is even better than in the photos. We had planned to do a lot of sightseeing but didn't do as much as we had planned as we wanted to enjoy the house and the pool. We had fabulous meals cooked by Angela, and a man who came to bake pizza int the pizza oven. Emma and Adam were very helpful an responded promptly to any questions we had. I would strongly recommend this place as a base for exploring the area or if you just want to relax and enjoy the peace and beauty of this magical place.
This beautiful villa is located just 30 minutes from the coast at Lerici, the gateway to the Cinque Terre, a world heritage site with picturesque fishing villages dotted along the coast. The Italian riviera is just 40 minutes away, with Portofino and Forte de Marmi providing ample shopping, sunbathing and nightlife. The villa is a 45 minute drive from Lucca, and 1.5 hrs from Florence, both excellent day trips with fantastic shopping. Pisa is an hour's drive.
Podere La Serra is also within 40 minutes of Cerreto, a small but perfectly formed ski resort open from late December - April with excellent Red and Blue skiing.
You can hire scuba and snorkelling equipment on the Cinque Terre, ski in the Appenine mountains, see the sights in Florence, Pisa and Lucca or tour our outstanding local restaurants, where you can still eat like a king for the cost of a sandwich at home.
