Custom luxury home nestled in a National Park-like setting. Perched next to the Big Laurel River trout stream, the home has views of the stream from most all of the many windows. Listen to the stream rushing by. Mostly private setting near the end of the road; you can see one other home but its down a ways. Gated community that is like having a park almost to yourself, there are only 16 homes within about 300 acres. A short hike up the mountain provides awe-inspiring mountain views. Seven miles to the quaint village of Hot Springs and the infamous natural mineral springs for soaking in, along Spring Creek and the French Broad River for rafting and kayaking. The Appalachian Trail goes through Hot Springs and the ridgeline of the AT can be viewed within the community. Come and visit the Blue Ridge Mountains at their finest; turkey, bear, bobcat, deer, raccoon, hawks, eagles, and owls share the neighborhood. The area is famous for its hiking and water sports. Relax, enjoy nature, breathe the fresh air, sit by the mtn. stream, hike through the National Forest, fish the stream, raft the French Broad River, and rejuvenate in the mountains.

It is gorgeous here, it just doesn't get any better!
The stream, the stream, the stream. Or take a walk for some of the most beautiful mountains you have ever seen.
Wonderful place to stay. There were 5 adults and 1 child in our party, and all of us were impressed with the beautiful, spacious home, sounds of the stream, magnificent views, and privacy. We were also very pleased to see that the house was very well stocked--kitchen items, linens, everything we needed and wanted. Some of our group went tubing down the stream right in front of the house. All of us enjoyed a full day whitewater rafting on one of the days, and were pleased to come back to this beautiful home in the evening. We used the grill, sat out on the porch, roasted marshmallows, went inside and watched a DVD on the huge flat screen...We had a splendid vacation and highly recommend this home and our rental agent Deb Burks.
This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at Water's Edge Cabin. I truly recommend it!!!
We rented this house for a weekend retreat for some friends and it was perfect! Lovely home in a great location to be close to hot springs, and about 40 minutes from Asheville. The owner was very gracious and made sure we had all the info and resources we needed. Home and kitchen was well stocked to do some cooking and everyone had the linens they needed. would recommend and stay here again.
Beautiful home! Gas fireplace to keep you warm. Right along a nice river. 1 master with a huge loft. There's a grill and fire pit outside. Hot springs is just a few miles away. We loved the home and how secluded it feels without being too far away. Deb, the owner was great and very helpful.
The home was gorgeous and very clean and neat. The location was great for our stay, close enough to Ashville for day trips but far enough away from everything to be peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend this home for a relaxing vacation.
My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. The home exceeded our expectations! Great location on a stream in a gated community. Although there are other houses in the community the cabin had a comfortable secluded feeling. Hot Springs was a short drive with several good food options. Deb was super helpful with recommendations for everything from food to activities and nearby trails. We will definitely stay here again!
Waters' Edge Cabin is in the same development as the Lodge at Bear River; a gorgeous setting for a wedding or event.
Hot Springs has the only natural hot water mineral springs in North Carolina, a perfect place for a natural mineral bath....don't miss it.
Rafting, hiking, fishing, and getting back to nature. The area feels like being in a National Park without all of the traffic.
