Marshall Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedroom + Loft + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Custom luxury home nestled in a National Park-like setting. Perched next to the Big Laurel River trout stream, the home has views of the stream from most all of the many windows. Listen to the stream rushing by. Mostly private setting near the end of the road; you can see one other home but its down a ways. Gated community that is like having a park almost to yourself, there are only 16 homes within about 300 acres. A short hike up the mountain provides awe-inspiring mountain views. Seven miles to the quaint village of Hot Springs and the infamous natural mineral springs for soaking in, along Spring Creek and the French Broad River for rafting and kayaking. The Appalachian Trail goes through Hot Springs and the ridgeline of the AT can be viewed within the community. Come and visit the Blue Ridge Mountains at their finest; turkey, bear, bobcat, deer, raccoon, hawks, eagles, and owls share the neighborhood. The area is famous for its hiking and water sports. Relax, enjoy nature, breathe the fresh air, sit by the mtn. stream, hike through the National Forest, fish the stream, raft the French Broad River, and rejuvenate in the mountains.

Keywords: Luxury Cabin on the Big Laurel trout stream, private, peaceful, gated community; near Hot Springs, the Appalachian Trail, NC Scenic Roads, Rafting, Kayaking, Pisgah National Forest, and only natural hot springs mineral spa in NC.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Wonderful place to stay. There were 5 adults and 1 child in our party, and all of us were impressed with the beautiful, spacious home, sounds of the stream, magnificent views, and privacy. We were also very pleased to see that the house was very well stocked--kitchen items, linens, everything we needed and wanted. Some of our group went tubing down the stream right in front of the house. All of us enjoyed a full day whitewater rafting on one of the days, and were pleased to come back to this beautiful home in the evening. We used the grill, sat out on the porch, roasted marshmallows, went inside and watched a DVD on the huge flat screen...We had a splendid vacation and highly recommend this home and our rental agent Deb Burks.

Mountain Postcard

  • 5 of 5

We just completed a two week stay at the Water's Edge cabin. Living on the SC coast we were ready to escape 100 degree temperatures and the influx of seasonal tourists. The private location of the cabin and cooler mountain air enabled us to accomplish our goal. As you step out of the cabin facing the stream you feel like you are living in a postcard. If you are looking for peace and quite this is the spot for you. The cabin is well furnished and Deb Burks is a true professional should you need anything.

We enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked a return visit in the near future.

Great Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. It's in a very secluded area, there are only about 14 houses located on the 800 acre development. It was very peaceful and very quiet, and we loved being on the creek. Our black lab played in the water every day and she loved it too. The cabin was nice and clean and well stocked with everything you need; plenty of sheets, blankets, towels, washer/dryer, kitchen supplies, etc. We also enjoyed the pool table upstairs. The Wi-Fi was very convenient and worked well. The beds were very comfortable, and we got plenty of good rest. I would highly recommend this cabin if you want to stay in the NC mountains.

Gorgeous property -- Very relaxing stay!

  • 5 of 5

Somewhat last minute, but we found this VRBO property for the Memorial Day weekend -- and were so glad that it was available and accepted dogs! Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the property, running around by the creek, and just hanging out on the huge porch area in front. We loved the quietness, waking up and sipping coffee on the front porch, the peaceful noise coming from the stream out front – there was nothing about this property that we’d change! Additionally, we traveled with our 2-year old, and while the property isn’t child-proofed, there weren’t too many things that were tempting for him to get into. He stayed fairly busy playing in the screened porch area with his trucks & trains!

We loved our stay – Deb was a very thorough and helpful hostess! We appreciate all of the travel tips for the area, and hope to come back and stay again in the future!

Peaceful and Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the cabin was amazing. The location was perfect! Inside, the cabin was very neat and clean, and the front windows facing the creek were amazing! Sitting around the fire pit listening to the sound of the creek and frogs chirping was perfect. Could not have asked for a better, more relaxing vacation. Thank you!

Waters' Edge Cabin is in the same development as the Lodge at Bear River; a gorgeous setting for a wedding or event.

Hot Springs has the only natural hot water mineral springs in North Carolina, a perfect place for a natural mineral bath....don't miss it.

Rafting, hiking, fishing, and getting back to nature. The area feels like being in a National Park without all of the traffic.
