The best, finished ''retro" basement you have ever seen! Transport yourself back to the 1970's in the rec room downstairs that features a pool table, bar and console TV and quite possibly the coolest shag carpet, EVER!! No kidding! Well maintained and clean. (The rest of the home has been updated.)
The front porch is covered and is a great spot to sit and watch the sunset or have dinner for two, alfresco. The backyard is very private with mature hedges and trees all around. The flagstone patio is very large with plenty of space for dining, entertaining and relaxing. A charcoal grill is available for your BBQ/grilling needs.

Mandi has been a long time resident of the area and while she is currently living and working in other states, she still considers herself, 'An Elkhart Kid'. Mandi spent more than twelve years working for Siebkens Resort in Elkhart Lake. In fact, she most likely served you a drink, brought you your dinner, checked you into the hotel, or cooked your bratwurst at the track if you have been to Siebkens since 1998. She visits Elkhart whenever she can (which is never enough) and looks forward to the day when she can move back to the area permanently. Mandi hopes that you enjoy this home and all that Elkhart Lake has to offer just as much as she does.
Mandi purchased this house in 2006
This home belonged to Mandi's grandparents. It was built it in 1978. She always adored the property for its location and layout. It is so close to everything in town and the lake, but still has the perfect amount of privacy. It couldn't be easier to get to either. One left off Hwy. 67 and you are there!
If you have ever been to Elkhart Lake on Vintage weekend or the 4th of July you will quickly learn that parking is at a premium. This location has plenty of off street parking so you never have to worry!
Hello, I would like to say thank you for letting my family and I stay at your house for Christmas. Our house is so small there is no room for a table in our kitchen and the livingroom only fits a small apartmet size couch and chair. Having 4 girls my husband and I ,this house gets awefully crowded. So having the chance to spend a week in a house like yours was a blessing. Also my brothers and sister have been trying to start a new tradition . My parents have both passed away recently and it was to hard to keep the tradition my mom started years ago.
I hope your Christmas was a good one with many new memories, as well as the new year ahead. God Bless.
We found this house to be extremely clean and comfortable, and the owner gets top marks for communication and professionalism.
The house was larger and nicer than I expected from the photos. The living room is large and comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. The upstairs bedrooms were very comfortable, especially the king bed in the master. The bunk bed worked fine for the kids, but the upper bunk was a little tricky to climb in and out of. We had friends stay a couple nights in the downstairs beds, and they were happy there. The backyard was lovely, too.
Elkhart Lake is a very sweet town, with several good restaurants and a wonderful farmer's market. It is a short walk from the house into the center of town. Highlights were the Paddock Club restaurant, swimming at the resident beach on the lake, and visiting the Kohler museum. Closest groceries are 10 miles south in Plymouth.
This was one of the easiest and most professional VRBO experiences we've had. The host provided clear and accurate communication in advance and during our stay. Kudos to her!
My friends and I rented the house while participating in some racing activities at Road America. The house was great. Everything went smoothly. Will certainly be back at another time!
Very nice place. Plenty of room to spread out and have your own space. Mandi made the reservation and payment process easy. Thanks so much!
This past weekend a group of us stayed at this comfy property just walking distance from great places to eat, shop, and activities in downtown Elkhart Lake.
Our first night we had dinner in and I would say that the kitchen had all the utensils to make a great meal and a gas stove which is always good. The rest of the house was pretty spaceous and comfortable for our group of six. We had terrific weather over the weekend as well so we enjoyed the backyard, which was good sized and offered plenty of sitting options.
I would definately recommend this place to my friends and family if they are ever in the area.
I recently hosted a golf weekend at this location and all I can say is it was awesome. Everyone had the best of times and we even had a conversation over dinner on just how great of a find this house was.
The house is located on a corner offering a private stay with plenty of room for everyone. The interior offers upgrades and retro fittings that create the perfect combination for an incredible value. The basement offers a step back in time while the backyard offers the perfect area to relax, grill, and play yard games until sunset.
The owner, Mandi, offers a high level of communication that sometimes gets overlooked at other VRBO's. She readily answered all of my questions and kept the lines of communication open at all times. She was a pleasure to work with.
If you are looking to be close to everything but also seek the privacy not offered at resorts, look no further. I would recommend to anyone if they asked.
My friends and I had a great time in the house. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area. And plenty of space to park our motorcycles!
