A walk, hop and skip to Lourmarin
This property is all about location, location, location. It's a very short walk to Lourmarin which we did every day. Also if you like to cook, it's one of the most well equipped kitchens I've ever come across for a rental property. Massive TV, so children very entertained in the siesta time of the day. Also, very good welcome by Veronique (caretaker) who showed us around and explained where such things like extra towels were to be found. Great location, accommodating house.
Great family vacations in Lourmarin
The property is perfect for family vacations. Provence in general, the beautiful village of Lourmarin and Linda’s property particularly are a fantastic combination for a very enjoyable summer getaway. The house, its amenities and the big and beautiful garden are perfect. Veronique’s welcome and help were great.
The well equipped and very good pool added to the enjoyment of all guests, especially the kids. Our family of three couples and five kids + a dog had a really wonderful time. Thank you.
A little piece of heaven
From my first communion with the property owner (Linda) and then our delightful property manager (Véronique) this vacation was a dream come true for me and my husband. This property was everything advertised and more. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week in Lourmarin. The house has a large living/dining room where everyone could gather, and enough space for everyone to have some space! (3 generations). Lourmarin is a delight with many shops, and restaurants. The Friday market was a wonderful experience. The location of our “home away from home) was great for excursions to Avignon, Roussillon, Gordes, Les Beaux, and the Mediterranean (Cassis). Our only negative thought-the living area furnishings were a bit tired. Our granddaughter asked her Mama, “ can you be homesick for a place that you had never been to before? “ Her question describes our holiday perfectly.
The property is great. Great location for exploring the area.
I'm so pleased that you and your family enjoyed your stay in our lovely house. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Lovely house for a fun family break
We were a party of 11 staying for a week in July 2018. Two families with kids ranging from 10 to 17. We loved the house and garden, and especially the large pool. Location is great, with an easy walk into Lourmarin for the boulangerie or dinner. The inside of the house is classic rather than modern, which makes it feel much more like a home than a holiday rental. The layout works very well if your days are centered around the pool as there is a separate fully equipped pool kitchen, shower and toilet. We kept all our food and drinks there and hardly used the main kitchen at all. Great place. Highly recommended!!
I am so pleased that you all enjoyed your holiday at my house. You were great guests and I look forward to having you back again in the future.
Great villa in lovely setting, close to gorgeous village
This house was perfect for our 40th anniversary week with our family. Six of us fit comfortably in three bedrooms and had tremendous privacy. The pool was fantastic. The kitchen stocked with cooking utensils and tools to make our dinners extra easy to prepare. The off-road path to gorgeous Lourmarin was fantastic. All in all a great visit!
I am so pleased that you all enjoyed your stay at my house and hope that you will want to come and stay again in the the future.
Lourmarin, acclaimed as one of the prettiest villages in France, is a unique mixture of sophistication and unspoiled Provencal charm. The art galleries, craft shops and the famous Friday market attract visitors from miles around as does the celebrated 16thc chateau where concerts and other cultural events are held regularly through the summer months. The area is famous for the number and variety of its restaurants which range from simple bistros, ideal for family meals, to some of the most renowned exponents of gastronomy in the South of France. More energetic visitors will enjoy cycling trips or walks throughout the Luberon hills and some of the other villages in the area – Merindol, Gordes, Bonnieux, to name but a few, are bound to be on your must-visit list because of their historical connections or breathtaking natural beauty. One thing is for certain: you will not be bored.
