Beautiful waterfront home situated on 600+ feet of private lake front, with views of both sunrise and sunset right from the lakeside deck and grassy terraced lawn. The property features an 11 acre mix of meadow, woods and water with fruit trees, foot paths & wildflowers.
Directly in front of the house is some of the best fishing on Lake Champlain -- bass, pike, and walleye.
The house boasts two decks, a large downstairs master suite, open floorplan, fully equipped kitchen and three additional bedrooms upstairs, including a sleeping loft.

Our family purchased this land 23 years ago with the intention of creating a place for friends and family to be together in beautiful natural surroundings. We look forward to sharing it with you.
The Owner purchased this house in 1989
Beautiful lake house in a quiet area. The house is well maintained and clean. The layout and size of the house is ideal for multiple families vacationing together. An easy drive to Burlington and Montreal. The outdoor area is private and very relaxing. Wonderful views of the lake. The pictures displayed accurately reflect what the property has to offer. I would recommend bringing bulk grocery items with you however there is a little market with essentials on the island with excellent homemade fudge. I would recommend highly recommend this property.
Our extended family wanted to spend a few days relaxing in Vermont after gathering from Minneapolis, New York City, two Vermont towns, and Australia. This property was a perfect choice. Since the group ranged in age from 2-74, we had a variety of interests and needs to meet. We brought bikes and canoes, so we could pedal around the island and paddle as long as we wanted. Dock was nice and was improved by the owner during our stay. Enough flat yard for ball games. State park was nearby for a sandy beach outing. Plenty of sleeping area. Adequate kitchen, though we had to repair a broken refrigerator shelf. Because Isle LaMotte has no grocery store, we carried in all of our food for the vacation; lots of groceries and we still ended up with two drives to Swanton. Long waterfront meant we had privacy and quiet during our stay. All of the family asked to return again in the future!
We could not have been any happier with our experience at this beautiful lakefront house in Isle La Motte. The house and location exceeded all our expectations. We were traveling with two little ones and were so surprised to find all the great toys and children's books. We all enjoyed relaxing on the hammock, walking the fruit orchards, swimming in the lake and fishing on the dock. Our daughter caught her first fish and it was a memory that will last a life time. The large deck was a picturesque spot for family breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The sunsets were an exclamation point to each perfect day. We loved it, and hope we go back for many years to come. Autumn was excellent to work with prior to the trip. She answered all our questions promptly and checked in during the trip to be sure everything was going smoothly. Truly a 5 star getaway to Northern New England.
My family (wife, mother, stepfather, sister, Charlie our dog) and I had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful house at the end of August 2014. We had never been to this part of the U.S. It was a beautiful drive up from New York City. Coming from the south Isle La Motte is one of the more remote Champlain Islands and you have to cross multiple causeways. While the area is remote it is certainly not wilderness. On the other hand, it is not a place where you can drive a couple of miles and easily find a place to eat or buy groceries.
The house has a great layout and it is perfect for the type of family trip we imagined. The large 1st floor living space and the open kitchen make for a perfect shared experience. The house has all the necessities and more in abundance. It doesn't have cable TV. For some of us this was a surprise.
The property is right on the lake and going out on the deck and catching the breeze and the sun shining off the lake was a favorite thing to do. The deck was also the site for a memorable barbecue.
We did some fun things while there: renting kayaks and rowboats, hiking around the Mt. Stowe area (admittedly a bit of a drive), eating out at the local restaurants (good if not great cooking).
We were a bit disappointed by the lack of local farmer's markets and fresh produce, but perhaps, we didn't know where to go.
All in all, while the area didn't WOW us; our consensus was the house and its comforts were GREAT and for that reason I've given 5 stars.
We really enjoyed out three night stay. It was very relaxing and comfortable. Easy commute to Burlington or Stowe for entertainment. The house has everything you would need, especially if you are bringing youngsters (we left ours with the grandparents for the trip). Would gladly stay here again if we are in the area.
We had a very delightful stay in the Lake House ! Very peaceful, great location, splendid landscape. The Lake House is very comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed our diners on the large deck overlooking the lake and the beautiful sunsets. Autumn, the owner, was very helpful and communicative to set us up at the house. We didn't have the pleasure to meet Autumn but hopefully will have the opportunity upon our next visit. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended ! Can't wait to go back.
