About Brandon Rogers
My wife and I are both Clemson graduates and we love the Hendersonville area! It is such a great place to visit year round. We are happy to open the doors of our home to you and love to hear stories of the memories that people have made at the Blue Ridge Cabin!
Brandon Rogers purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Brandon Rogers chose Hendersonville
We love the Hendersonville area! There is always something going on in Hendersonville, regardless of what season it is. There are great shops and restaurants downtown and endless outdoor activities to do that are just a short drive from the Blue Ridge Cabin. Bringing our family to spend a few days at the Blue Ridge Cabin is one of our favorite things to do!
What makes this Cabin unique
We purchased this property because it was the perfect location, conveniently located between Hendersonville and Chimney Rock with so many attactions just a short drive from the cabin. There is nothing better than spending time in the mountains in a true log cabin... and the Blue Ridge Cabin at Stoneledge is the perfect example. There is not a piece of sheetrock in the house; the wood all around you creates such a warm feeling, even on the coldest winter night. The open floor plan is perfect for spending time together on family vacations. We love rocking on the porch taking in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains! There's nothing like relaxing in the hot tub after a long lazy day of vacation.

Cozy & Affordable
We stayed here for the week of our honeymoon and we found it very cozy. The kitchen was well appointed and the master bed was really comfortable. We really appreciated small touches like bathrobes and slippers, DVD’s of popular movies, and games and puzzles for guests. It was lovely to listen to the babbling brook while soaking in the hot tub after a long day of hiking and sight-seeing. We loved how close to everything the cabin was to what we wanted to do. Although the cabin was not dirty, it wasn’t super-clean either. I don’t recommend this cabin if you have allergies or asthma. There are a few things that needed to be fixed and hopefully the owners will take care of those before their next guests arrive. If you like a cabin somewhere between rustic and ritzy and very reasonably priced for the accommodations, this is the place.
Perfect and cozy
This was the ideal cabin. Plenty of room, full kitchen and large room sizes. Just 35 minutes from Asheville. We got snowed in during the snowstorm but met some wonderful neighbors while surveying the winter wonderland. DVD players, so bring your favorites. Lots of board games and books as well and front and back covered pitches for relaxing. WiFi and DirecTV inside and a hot tub outside. I would recommend bringing your own hairdryer, ice and firewood. Maybe a shovel if snow is expected. The views are lovely and there’s a small creek off the porch. This is a great cabin in a nice location. We would definately recommend it and are so happy we stayed. Give a wave to your neighbors, they just may become your new friends! #steiffgrowler for my photos. Thank you to the Rodgers family for sharing your cabin.
Relaxing and peaceful
The cabin was cozy, clean and peaceful. We loved the babbling brook on the property and the front porch with the swing. The beds were very comfortable. It would have been nice to have a hairdryer and the icemaker did not work. Internet was spotty but that wasn't a problem since we were trying to "unplug" anyway. Very comfortable cabin for our mother-daughter getaway.
Very Disappointed !!
First let me say my husband and I always go to the NC mountains for Thanksgiving week and look forward to it every year, this year was no exception. The picture itself looks very cozy and inviting. I will start out stating the location between Hendersonville and Chimney Rock/Lake Lure was very convenient, the fireplace was very inviting and the bed was very comfortable. Now for our disappointments - we were told by Mr. Rogers (owner) there was more than enough wood for the fire place which was true, however you had to walk across the lawn to the other side of the driveway to get the wood which was stored in a greenhouse, can you see the issue yet? Some of the panels in the greenhouse were blown out leaving the rain to soak the wood. There was a small iron wood holder by the fire place which we had to take out and my husband had to dig through the wood to find some damp wood to try to burn and then it took both of us to carry it back to the house, the fireplace tools were broken. Now the cabin is pet friendly which is fine, there is no sidewalk from the back of the cabin so you have to walk through mud, wet grass and lots of dog feces which I stepped in not once but twice. The cabin is dark and dingy, there was hair in both bathroom sinks, the shower in one bathroom NEEDS to be replaced it is old and has mold in it. We expressed these issues to Mr. & Mrs. Rogers, we received a phone call from Mrs. Rogers who told us they would replaced the fireplace tools and we could go pick them up. As a renter I do not think that is something we should be doing. We were also told they were not aware of any of these issues. WOW I find that really disconcerting!!! We arrived on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and left on Tuesday - we then asked the Rogers for a 50% refund, never heard from them again which tells us they are not interested in any of these issues and are only this business for the money. My husband and I had rental properties for many years and treated each property as our own and never had issues and always received great reviews. If these issues do not bother you then the cabin is for you. If we do not see this review posted we will know the Rogers took it down. Apparently we had since found out there was another couple that had to leave due to a weather related emergency, requested a two day refund and never heard from the Rogers, again what does that tell you.
Mr. & Mrs. ANGRY
This cabin has everything including the scenery - no 4-wheel drive required!
I have rented other homes through the years in North Carolina and must say the Blue Ridge Cabin was about the cleanest, most well equipped cabin I've ever had the pleasure to stay in. The location is perfect in that it is only a minute off the main road and not up the mountain like so many (which certainly helped as we did not have a 4-wheel drive and had two days of rain while we were there). It is also only 30 minutes from the airport and about the same distance from Asheville. We needed two bedrooms and two bathrooms and this cabin fit the bill perfectly. I am a stickler for cleanliness and I couldn't find any room that wasn't perfect down to the robes in the master closet and the jacuzzi towels. There is a shed out back for firewood, but would recommend gathering small wood to start or buy a starter pack. Despite the weather, we enjoyed our visit and would return and recommend to others. Brandon was very responsive with any questions we had, was available for questions and communicated all the details that we needed prior to our visit..
We enjoyed our long weekend at the Blue Ridge Cabin. Very clean and comfy. We'd definitely stay here again.
