Very glad we found you guys. The place was fantastic. Service was great and the staff were awesome. The few issues we had of items breaking, the staff were very quick to get fixed. The only issue we had that were not fixable were the beds in the two larger bedrooms. The beds had sagging in the mattresses. This made it difficult to get a really good nights rest. This was the only issue. Regina (with the staff) really stood out. She helped in many ways and even helped me find a place to set off fireworks for New Years Eve. She went above and beyond. The entire family wants to make this an annual event. Thank you very much.
The house was perfect for our 8-person (6 adults, 2 children) family get-away. Every bedroom has its own bathroom (two share a jack-and-jill bathroom, one of which is the "kids" room). The location couldn't have been better. Just steps to the beach directly down the semi-private wooden walkway, but also great just spending hours in the private pool / hot tub within sight and sound of the crashing surf. Another review mentions the noise from the nearby bar, but that wasn't a problem while we were there--in fact, we wouldn't have even realized it was there if not for looking for it due to the other review. All the appliances and outdoor grill worked great, and we had an excellent time. The house comes with plenty of beach toys (boogie boards, floating seat for the pool, sand scoops and pails, a beach canopy, etc.--it looks like many guests continue to add a few extras here and there, as we did), so no need to bring too many or buy any if you don't have them already--just use what's at the house. The property management company in charge was easy to deal with and kept up regular email updates, and the house was perfectly clean and setup when we arrived.
All in all, a great experience and I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a great SPI beach experience!
We enjoyed our stay. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and was quick to respond to anything we needed. A great ocean view.
My family and I stayed at the Gulf Breeze House in June and enjoyed our stay very much! The house is nicely updated and the location was great. Our children spent all day by the pool area and the private beach walkover in the backyard is perfect for getting to the beach easily. The views of the ocean from the house were beautiful. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and very spacious. The rental company was very good to work with as well and made our stay enjoyable. I would recommend this house for anyone looking for a beach vacation. Thank you!
We were very disappointed with the rental. Worst was the fact that there is a restaurant/bar just down the beach with an outdoor patio that extends into the beach. Friday and Saturday they had a band and the music was so loud it was hard for us to get to sleep. Thursday night there was Karaoke which was also very loud. The only covering over the master bedroom windows and great room was the storm windows, no curtains of any sort, When I have rented properties in the past the owner has always had a notebook containing basic information such as dates of trash pick-up, emergency numbers and check-out procedures. There was no such info provided. The icemaker did not work, only 2 kitchen towels and 3 hand towels. Plenty of bath towels and wash cloths. The last night we were there a visitor who lives in the area pointed out that we had a separate faucet in the kitchen which provided reverse osmosis drinking water. We were not made aware of that by the leasing agent. Not well maintained, cabinet door off in one bathroom, exterior doors difficult to lock and unlock, water running down wall during rain. Only 3 small bars hand soap, one roll toilet paper in each bathroom, one roll paper towels in kitchen and no tissues. I had just left a house in Annapolis that I rented through VRBO which was much better stocked with basic items needed the first afternoon and evening until I had time to shop the next day. Oh, yes, we were left a 1/2 full carton of ice cream in the freezer that someone had failed to throw away. For what i paid I certainly expected a nicer house. Space was wonderful but otherwise it was a disappointment.
