I am Architect in San Francisco with our my Architectural firm operated by my wife and I. My wife is a 3rd generation San Franciscan and I moved to San Francisco in 1978 after being raised in Oak Park Illinois, a Chicago suburb.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 1980
After travels around the USA during my college years I fell in love with San Francisco on my first visit to California and moved here after I graduated from college.
I came here with a friend for a week in mid-June. Had stayed in hotels downtown during previous visits, and wanted to try an apt. This was such a nice property- very spacious, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings. Very nice deck we used for afternoon quiet time. Close to Church ST, so convenient to MUNI for going downtown or other parts of the city. Immediate neighborhood was great, with variety of restaurants, coffee houses, etc. We had windows open much of the time, to take advantage of the nice cool air, and it was very quiet.
Owners live in apt. below, and they were great. I hope I'll have the chance to stay here again!
Just like the pictures and even better! This apt. met all of our needs and was extremely convenient to the city and fun surrounding spots. The muni is down the block, cafe's around the corner, whole foods walking distance, and a good sense of Noe valley! The deck was nice to step out and view the gardens below and if not just to enjoy the sun! Again great place, great location, parking was no hassle. Will keep this in mind for my next visit!
We stayed in Louis and Carol's top floor flat while visiting our daughter in San Francisco. Everything is as nice as the other reviews. The beds were very comfortable, the furnishings wonderfully kept. Carol has a green thumb and the indoor plants as well as the vegetables and herbs on the deck were a nice addition. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and deck was terrific for breakfast as well as a glass of wine after a long day of sightseeing! The neighborhood...very quiet..and I'm a light sleeper. Close to the Bart and easy access to major highways. I would definitely recommend a stay...you may even get a piece of Carol's lemon pound cake (from lemons off her tree downstairs)...thank you Carol!
This apartment was really great. A very nice kitchen with access to outside deck and a great grill was my favorite part. The apartment is pretty big, with two bedrooms and a huge bathroom. The living room is very nice too and it even has a dinning room! The location is fantastic. Couple of blocks from 24th street and easy access to public transportation on Church st. We were very happy with our rental and chances are that we will be back.
We stayed here for a week in August while settling our son into College. The apartment is as per the photos, very clean and tidy, comfortable beds, excellent outdoor area that became a favourite for eating breakfast. The owners are very nice and even made us some cookies for our son! I am a little reluctant to right this review as hoping the apartment will be available for our next visit as we felt very at ease staying there.
The apartment was very clean and aesthetically furnished.
The owners were very helpful and responded to all our queries in time. They had also stocked the house with many useful items.
