Why Mark and Lisa Wright chose Les Bois-D'Anjou
Mark and Lisa left London in search of a Paradise Lost and in the back roads of the Loire they stumbled upon Brion in les Bois d’Anjou (the ancient forests of the Anjou kingdom) where they found a sanctuary away from the modern world. Let their luck be yours also! Le Logis is ideally situated close to the beautiful Loire river, between Saumur, Tours and Angers in the heart of the stunning Loire Valley). Many historic chateaux are within an easy drive. Additionally, there is an ideal ‘pit stop’ with the B&B option to complement the self-catering facilities, for those wanting a brief pause before pushing on to the Atlantic or farther South. Within beautiful, landscaped grounds there are numerous picnic spots and a heated, outdoor pool for those wanting just to unwind and let the world pass them by. A perfect holiday location in every way!! The most hospitable hosts with every need catered for. Can not praise the whole experience highly enough
Fantastic family holiday
We had a fantastic holiday here, staying in the pressoir with our two and a half year old daughter. The property is really toddler friendly, safe and well equipped with everything you need from stair gates to a potty, high chair and toddler cutlery. Sun deck is safe, and from there you can see the garden. Loads of ride on toys, Wendy house, mini football pitch and of course a gated off heated pool!! You could spend your whole time just hanging out at the property and have a brilliant time. But... of course there is the local area to explore. So many options we hardly scratched the surface. Even with a toddler there was so much to choose from, a brilliant zoo, caves, chateaus, Terra Botanica gardens.... add to this the French food, and daily delivery from the local baker and the warm weather and we had a truly wonderful time!
Lisa, Mark and Tom live in the main house and are lovely, friendly and super helpful hosts. Always on hand with suggestions and tips for days out, and nothing is too much trouble.
Thank you so much!!! We hope we might return one day x
Many thanks from Lisa and myself for your positive and thoughtful review. We are delighted that our property lived up to expectations and that you enjoyed your time in the Loire Valley and made the most of all that this area has to offer in terms of family entertainment. We shall be delighted to welcome your family back here and look forward to it. Mark Wright
delightful in early Spring
Le Logis is actually 4 self-catering gites and a chambre d'hôte (B&B), all near the home of hosts Lisa and Mark and strategically situated in the country side in the midst of Loire chateau country. My children and grandchildren stayed in a 2BR unit and I stayed next door in the chambre d'hôte, which has its own bathroom and tres-making facilities.Spotless, spacious, nicely decorated, plenty of room, wi-fi, the gite had complete kitchen and equipment, Lisa and Mark couldn't have been more gracious and friendly. On the spacious and well-planted grounds there is a football pitch, a table tennis table, a swimming pool (not yet uncovered in early April0 and other amenities such as a fully equipped washroom. Nothing so close as to feel crowded or noisy however. An excellent choice especially if you have children.
Thank you for taking the time to review our property and for your positive comments.
We are delighted that you enjoyed your family holiday here and the B&B and hope that you may return our way again in the future.

Lovely place and lovely people
A great place to stay at any time of the year - we were pleasantly surprised when we turned in the drive and discovered the place!
We had the chance to be able to stay in the " le Pressoir", a great place, spacious, spotless and very well equiped!! Our teenage daughter was smitten by her bedroom and our son loved the outdoor facilities, despite the rather cold and unfriendly rainy weather! We stayed for only 3 days, therefore we habe to come back again to discover Brion in sunshine and higher temperatures!!
Thanks for everthing and " Aurevoir " !

PS: We can't remember anymore on which site we've discovered this place, but I think it doesn't matter too much...!
Lovely, relaxing family holiday
We’ve just returned from a wonderful week staying in Le Rosiers at Le Logis du Pressior. The Gite was lovely, with everything you need for a self-catering holiday plus the added bonus of a box full of (age appropriate) toys for our 7 and 3 year old children. The grounds are beautiful with lots of space for children to run around and have fun, together with swings/slide, ride along toys and a large log tree house. Our Gite had a lovely private terrace area that overlooked the grounds so we could relax with a drink while keeping an eye on what our children were doing – perfect:-). We were lucky to have very sunny weather for most of the week so enjoyed using and relaxing by the pool nearly every day. However, if you like to explore there is lots to do and see in the area, we especially recommend the Bioparc Zoo in Doue-la-Fontaine as a great day out.
We would highly recommend Le Logis du Pressoir for a lovely relaxing holiday, especially to families with children. In fact we loved it so much we’re planning on booking again for next year:-)?
Many thanks for this thoughtful and appreciative review. We would also highlight the Bioparc Zoo as a great day out for children and adults alike. It's a wonderful zoo, built into old quarries and specialising in conservation and reproduction projects for endangered animals. We would also recommend Terra Botanica, which is a fantastic, multi-sensory eco-park that appeals to all ages, from toddlers to adults. Thank you again for taking the time to review us, which is very much appreciated.
Wonderful place, wonderful people
We stayed two nights in Lisa and Mark's beautiful and relaxing b&b room. Nothing was too much trouble and the welcome from them, Max and Archie was second to none - as far as supplying us with a much needed picnic on arrival and letting us park our motorbike outside the room. The property is absolutely beautiful and a credit to their hard work and dedication! We will definitely stay here again - it was, without doubt, the nicest place we stayed in France this year by a long way! Jan & Rob.
Thank you to Jan and Rob for taking the time to review us. It is very much appreciated. We certainly enjoyed meeting you both and would look forward to welcoming you here again. Lisa and Mark
Our gites are nestled in the heart of the Loire-Anjou-Touraine National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site), close to some of the most picturesque spots along the River Loire; perfect for cycling! North of Saumur and between the fascinating chateaux towns of Angers and Tours, we are well positioned for many popular sites in the Loire Valley. A few minutes drive takes you to the pretty market town of Beaufort, a ‘ville fleurie’, with it’s renowned Gothic church, a good variety of shops, supermarket, banks (and cash machines) as well as weekly market and organic market and excellent restaurant 'l'Auberge'. Take a tour through the vineyards of Anjou, Bourgeuil, Saumur-Champigny and more, all within an easy ride. We are happy to recommend our favourite Caves for wine tasting and restaurants for local cuisine. Children need not worry as there are lots of child orientated activities on our doorstep, including themed chateaux, parks, a famous zoo & horse riding.
Other Activities: visiting chateaux, wine tasting and gastronomy, canoeing / kayaking, pony trekking, children's theme park, lakes with sandy beach area
