Loved the Reidy Chalet!
We were lucky enough to stay at the Chalet for two weeks and loved it. The Chalet is really the perfect location -- steps from Tahoe City and Commons Beach as well as the Truckee River. We walked or biked to the Farmers Market and movies on the beach, and biked to FireSign and West Shore Deli. Most mornings, we'd walk our dog around the neighborhood or to Tahoe House for coffee. The house was charming and fully functional for our family and dog. We found the updated kitchen and bathrooms to be great and the sun-filled living area and deck the perfect place to relax with a book or play a board game. The beds are super comfy and linens nice and soft, too. Laundry and mini-mud room just add to the conveniences. Overall, a great stay at the Chalet!
We are delighted your family enjoyed the cabin!
Come again soon!
Great location and dog friendly!
We loved the location (near bakery and skiing) and the friendly hosts. This is our 2nd time there. We left a coat the first time and the owners sent it to us. Great for kids and dog.
Great Location. Nice views
Nice little cabin close to town.
Comfortable beds, dog friendly, quite neighborhood.
Owner was easy to work with.
Cabin is fully stocked and has some nice details...warm floors, boot warmer, dual head shower, fireplace, washer and dryer, lots of games, big deck.
We had a great stay at the Chalet in Tahoe City. The location is convenient, and the house is very comfortable. The host was responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.
Perfect stay for my girls and I
My two girls and I stayed in the Chalet both during the summer and in the winter. In the summer we had an absolute blast. The house is centrally located close to town, easy to get to the grocery store, an awesome coffee shop down the street as well as simple access to a bike/running path. As an endurance athlete, I was able to do long runs and rides around the lake right from the house, as well as ride bikes with the kids to and from breakfast, town, beach and Squaw! In addition, we were able to take the dog to the river every morning and evening for some activity which made for a happy dog! The accommodations are comfortable and the house is stocked with whatever you may need to cook or bake. In the winter, it was an easy drive to Alpine or Squaw and a cozy place to come back to at the end of the day! Kids were able to play in the snow in the yard and come in for hot cocoa. The owners are very responsible and responsive, I would go back again and again!
Perfect home on the North Shore
Our family stayed at the chalet this fall and winter and it is the perfect home for a vacation in Tahoe. The kitchen is stocked with utensils & essentials, with a nice large dining area. The furnishings are comfortable. The heated floors in the downstairs bath, along with the excellent water pressure make for an awesome shower. The chalet is located within walking distance to Tahoe City and the lakeshore. Perfect for two families. Overall, it's a wonderful place to hang your hat in Tahoe.
Stand up Paddle Board, rent a boat for the day, kayak or raft down the Truckee River, water ski in the lake... all within a few minutes from our house. Walk to the Lake, hike to nearby trails and take a leisurely walk or bike ride to various options for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
