Sevierville Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8-12)

2300 square foot cedar cabin. Centrally located to access Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, or the Townsend/Cades Cove areas.

My favorite part of our location is that we are close to anything in the area, almost centrally located. But once you leave Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg to head to the cabin, the heavy traffic ceases and you leave that behind for the peace and beauty of the mountains, all in the matter of just 10 minutes. You get the best of both worlds.

We have tried to make this cabin enjoyable for all ages. Kids can play in the game room and the adults enjoy conversation, games, or TV in the den above. Swing, rock, or eat outside on one of the four decks. Read a book on the main deck while swinging or just relaxing and enjoy the quiet of the outdoors.

Cabin has 3 levels, one bedroom/bath each level.

Kitchen/den/dining on main level with master bedroom. Master bedroom has kingsize bed and its own bath, along with a separate Jacuzzi tub.

The lower level has a large Game room with pool table, air hockey, 42 inch TV, video arcade game and darts, with separate bedroom/bath with 2 queen beds. The couch in game room is a sofa sleeper. Off the game room is a private deck and hot tub.

The upper level has a bedroom with queen bed, bath, deck, and extra room with TV and sofa sleeper. We enjoy sitting on the front decks and viewing the other cabins and the lights at night, or sitting on the back decks (or in hottub) and being at peace with nature.

Each level has a deck with the main level having a deck which wraps around two sides and a separate deck off the master bedroom in front. There is also a Jacuzzi in the master bedroom.

The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could want, glass top range with oven timer if you want to cook while enjoying the area.

At times our children and guests are content to just enjoy the cabin and never do the tourist stuff, and at times they spend all day in nature, shopping, or enjoying Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg.

About Brian Galloway

I am a Mental Health Counselor and my wife is in accounting. We live in Mississippi but both parents live in Tennessee, just on opposite ends of the state. We have three children, two married and on their own, and one just starting college. Our youngest son has 'grown up' with the cabin, while our other two were already finishing high school or in college, so they are just now beginning to experience the cabin with their families.

Brian Galloway purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Brian Galloway chose Tennessee

One of our parents live in East Tennessee, so we began visiting the Gatlinburg area when we came to see them and fell in love with the area. I especially like Wears Valley because it is close to the bustle of Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg but has the tranquility of the mountains. There seems to be endless diversity to what you can do there. We bought the cabin so we could have a place to come and relax when we wanted to get away for a few days.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin is peaceful and relaxing to me. I have all the luxuries of home (and a few more). Can watch TV, surf the internet, quietly read, or play games. One of the high lights of our year is going to the cabin in late October, early November with two couples who are retired and dear friends of ours. We play cards, decorate for Christmas, and are able to get away from our normal lives.

The cabin is large enough to invite others to come with us, but small enough for just the two of us, if that's what we want.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We started out with 8 going to the mountains and ended up with 12. The cabin slept 12 so we said, OK. Granted, 12 is capacity, but it worked much better than we expected. All the adults had private rooms to sleep in. We shared the three bathrooms, but that was ok. The cabin was clean and it was raining but it was dry and cozy inside. We had plenty of room to work puzzles, play games, eat and work together without bumping into each other. Loved the Cabin and we will return. Five stars!!

Awesome cabin and owner

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in multiple cabins and I can honestly say that this is the best. Clean, well decorated, great views and centrally located. Brian the owner is great to work with and very attentive to renters. Quick to answer questions arise. If you are looking for a 3 bedroom. Family/kid friendly cabin. This ones for you

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is great for a family even if ours kids are grown. Nice game room and the kit/lr was great for our family. The owner is very organized as they made renting very easy. They have thought of everything in there contact info. Cabin is well maintained. Getting to the cabin is curvy and a steep hill but close to town. Bella the beagle dog will greet you but read the collar (don't feed her or she will need Jenng Craig). Good value for the family with divided areas and plenty of beds. View is wooded but quiet.

Enjoyed our stay!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is very comfortable. It was much more spacious than we had anticipated (which is never a bad thing with our crew). Its also in a perfect location for those visiting both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, nestled right between the two. It is worth revisiting.

Owner's Response: Thank you. When we bought the cabin 11 years ago, it was listed as a 4 bedroom. There is a room off the loft that we have had a sleeper sofa in that can be another bedroom, but you have to go through a bedroom to get to it. I would be disappointed if I was told '4' bedroom and that was one, so we have always listed as a 3. We figure getting a bonus is far better than being disappointed. Our cabin is about 2200-2300 square foot. I might ought to say that in the listing. We are actually on the way to the cabin today and are taking that sleeper sofa out of that loft room and replacing it with a bunk bed, queen bottom and twin top. We think that will be much better.

The drive from Pigeon Forge was long and steep. Cabin needed a deep cleaning.

  • 2 of 5

The cabin was not what we expected. The entire cabin and its contents really needed a deep thorough cleaning(with the exception of the kitchen which appeared to be clean). The downstairs shower was very very small. The pool table just had a very unclean appearance and none of the other games worked correctly. The front windows were full of cobwebs as well as the corners. The master bathroom rugs were very dirty in appearance and needed replaced or at least a good cleaning. The basement stairs were also very dirty. They didn't appear to have been vacuumed or cleaned in a long time. The cabin was much further from Pigeon Forge than we anticipated or maybe it was the last part of the very steep and winding drive that made it feel that way.

With a good cleaning it would be great for those who want to get away from it all it just wasn't for us.

Owner's Response: Sometimes I don't know what to say (but I generally come up with something). If you will read the review written on October 18, that individual came the day this individual left. Or read the review of October 2 who were there about 10 days prior to this guest arising. I am presently at the cabin on October 18th as I write this so I can see things firsthand. Let me answer the complaints. 1. "Drive from Pigeon Forge is long and steep." Depending on which light you leave from PF, it is either 7-8 miles, 5 miles, or 6 miles. We sort of like getting away from the hustle and bustle and enjoying the tranquility of the mountains. Is the drive steep? In one short spot, but you are in the mountains. It is supposed to be uphill in places. 2. "Needs a deep cleaning". It was deep cleaned about a month ago. I haven't noticed anything needing a deep cleaning, and my cleaner didn't know I was the one coming. 3. Small shower. The basement bathroom has a stand-up shower - normal size. I'll admit, I'd rather use a bathtub shower which the other two bathrooms have. 4. Pool table - is a 3/4 inch slate table, wood grain outside. Solid oak legs and recovered a few years ago. There is a hockey table which is working today, and a video arcade game which is in perfect working order. I don't know what games didn't work. 4. Cobwebs. I don't see any cobwebs, but I'll admit you can clean the cabin and have a cobweb the next day. 5. "Master bedroom rugs need replaced." The master bedroom has only one rug. Gray shag. I just looked. Not a stain on it. I'd guess it is 4-5 years old but in great shape. Not a lot of traffic on it. 6. The basement stairs are the only carpet in the cabin. The landing has a stain that looks like someone spilt a cup of coffee. I have cleaned that stain for three years, using a spot remover when I shampoo that carpet twice a year. The stain won't budge. I'm sorry this cabin was not up to what they expected. But they had my email, text and phone numbers and this review is the first I heard of any problems. Perhaps the next time they visit the mountains they would enjoy more a place in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg and not a peaceful place in the mountains.

Beautiful cabin, great getaway.

  • 5 of 5

Smokyview was a wonderful place to stay. Absolutely perfect for our girls' weekend getaway. The common areas are spacious and comfortable, and there's also enough space if you need to go off and do your own thing. It's close enough to all of the main attractions, but far enough away from them that you are able to thoroughly enjoy the peace and tranquility the Smokies have to offer. Our group had so much fun that we've decided to make it a biennial trip, and I will be bookmarking this cabin for our return.

Absolutely the best cabin we've ever stayed in!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was absolutely perfect in every way. It was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated (love the bear theme!) and had everything we could possibly want or need.

Our group of 7 adults stayed for a weekend. We had lots of space to spread out and every single mattress was very comfortable. There were nice linens and plenty of them! The kitchen is fully stocked (well, except for wine glasses, ha). The large dining room table was perfect for our card games and the deck with its many chairs was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying nature. The game room would definitely have kept younger guests busy if we had brought some. There were at least 5 t.v.s. We even had pizza delivered after a long day of hiking/ziplining, which surprised us as we WERE in the mountains.

The owner, Brian, was super nice and answered all emails quickly. He was a real pleasure to work with.

Our group has decided we want to return again and again to this cabin. That's how much we enjoyed it! When it came time to leave, several of our group (and yes, they ARE adults) started whining and moaning and saying "nooooo, nooooo". LOL. We WILL be back!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much. You were a joy to work with. As for the wine glasses, my wife and I do not drink, but have been amazed at the number of wine decorkers that have made their way into our kitchen drawer.
