We recently visited our home state, Connecticut, and rented this lovely gem in Newport for two weeks. It was perfect. The location is great, lovely sunsets, the house impeccable and so comfortable. We enjoyed entertaining our friends and family without a doubt. The house is well appointed. If you would like to stay in an historic neighborhood, friendly, this is your place. Easy to get to the action!! John couldn't have been more helpful.

Perfect House

  • 5 of 5

This is a great house that we would absolutely recommend. We stayed there with our one year-old daughter. With a one year-old it was important to find a house that we felt comfortable spending significant time in at night. Although it still had a vacation house vibe to it, this definitely also had that home-like feel to it as well. Recently renovated with a lot of character. I can't stress enough how clean John's place was. I can honestly say that of all my stays in rentals and hotels, this was probably the first time I felt 100% fine about the cleanliness. We honestly could have moved right in. It's located in the historic Point section. It's a doable walk to downtown (about 10+ minutes on a scenic walk along the water). The neighborhood is quiet and residential and has a very authentic old New England feel. It's only a block and a half to the north end of the harbor, if you want to sit by the water and relax/read, etc. There's a small/mid-size waterfront park nearby that is very relaxing. Parking is very easy. The house is very airy and comfortable. John's easy to work with - very easy going and helpful. Great house that worked out perfectly for us.

This house was beautiful. Everything you need is there. Patio area in the back was a prefect place to relax. John was easy to deal with , we had no issues at all. We will definitely be back.

Great Newport Home

Spent the weekend with friends in this newly renovated home. We loved the steam shower and spacious kitchen. The owner was friendly and helpful. We plan to rent this home next year.

We really enjoyed our stay in Newport. The house was very conveniently located. A short stroll from the ocean and short driving distance to all the attractions. The house is newly renovated - and was beautifully done! Beds are very comfortable. Only possible drawback is that the kitchen isn't well stocked with pans/cooking utensils. But there are so many excellent restaurants, you will want to go out to eat anyway!

Two Thumbs Up!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this beautifully renovated home for four months last summer. The high ceilings, skylights and plentiful windows make it open and airy. The spaces are all nicely laid out making it easy to live in. John (owner) could not have been more accommodating and helpful during our entire stay.
