Overview

Longville Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 5)

Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck, while you relax and unwind in a wooded setting just steps away from the lake. You'll enjoy getting back to nature with Eagles, Falcons, Beaver, Deer and other wildlife in this quiet community by Broadwater Bay. This was our very first Cabin and we still love it. We have many fond memories of the 8 years we spent there. As our kids got older, we needed more space. It's an inexpensive way to spend a week or two up north. You can enjoy the peace and quiet of the wilderness, but you are close enough to town to get some milk or throw some laundry in (there is a nice laundermat in Longville). There are two docks available that are shared with the two neighbors either side. The docks are long and the water is about 8-10 feet deep at the end. Great for younger kids catching sunnies, perch, rock bass and even northerns. Great for taking a running leap into the water too! This cabin is also available for long term rentals upon request.

Why Lynne Whitehead chose Brainerd Lakes

The Longville area has a lot to offer for a small town. Of course the Turtle races every Wednesday for the kids is always a great time. There are Art Fairs, Flea Markets and events held most weekends. You have the convenience of being close to town, without the hustle and bustle of a large resort

What makes this cabin unique

The Peace and Quiet!! Without the noise of a busy resort setting. Just a short walk to the Lake. Enjoy the serenity of bobber or Lindy rigging in the quiet evening sunsets....You will enjoy all the comforts of home. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath with large kitchen/dining area and family room. A Garage for storing your gear, parking your car or cleaning your fish. And a nice grassy area for those yard games. You can boat to town for dinner, or hit the local ice cream shop after a great day on the lake.

Nice Time

  • 4 of 5

Small quaint place with great landlords......... off the beaten trail and not lakeside, but the price was right and the time was great.

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable and inviting little cabin in the woods! Four of us came up for Moondance in Walker and it was a perfect "home base." Really cute decor and clean; we had everything we needed to be comfortable and have a great time. Nice setting in the woods, with a little walk down to the docks. Just a few miles from Longville, not far to Hackensack, and about a half hour drive from Walker, it is in a perfect location to get out and explore the area. We really enjoyed our stay and Lynne was SO pleasant and inviting to deal with! Can't wait to come back again, there is lots more to do that we didn't get to during this trip, but then again, it would be nice just to stay put and listen to the birds while sitting out on the deck! Hope to make it back soon!

Quaint cottage review

Very clean and cozy cottage set in the woods. There is not a lake view, but the setting is nice. Well maintained and nicely decorated. Owner is great to work with. We fit three people comfortably.

good fishing

  • 5 of 5

My wife, my daughter and I spent one week in the cabin. It's a quiet and comfortable place. Broadwater and Woman Lake are beautiful. Fishing was good and we had fresh fish fillet almost every day. It was the most productive and inexpensive fishing trip I have ever had.

Lynne and Simon were very nice and helpful.

Thank you very much.

Definitely, we will come back.

An affordable cabin with access to a great chain of lakes

  • 5 of 5

I and two friends rented this cabin in mid May and wanted to do some fishing on a good lake not to far from the Twin Cities and not break the bank on renting a cabin. Woman lake and the lakes joined to it are considered some of the best fishing lakes in MN ( no slot restrictions on Walleyes). We were going for a utilitarian and inexpensive cabin over luxury, but were pleasantly surprised by the quality and functionality/amenities of this cozy cabin as well as the hospitality of its owners. While the place was a little tight it suited are needs well and was way more than we expected. The owners were super helpful and we also received tons of great fishing tips for Woman lake that led to me catching close to a 6 pound small mouth! (out of season though), plus walleyes, northerns, and some of the largest perch i have caught in years. If you want a comfortable, clean, well equipped cabin with the use of a dock (the dock is about 400 yards from the cabin - a nice dock too) BUT not ON the lake and can handle the space being a little small -- this place is a serious bargain -- and highly recommended for the budget minded fishermen

Longville is a lovely little town, the perfect place to get away from it all. Longville offers,Turtle races every Wednesday, Laundry, Grocery Store, Common Grounds coffee shop with free Wi Fi, Frostys Ice Cream Shop, Mini Golf, Antique and Gift shops, One Stop Bait and Convenience store. Bear Paws Movie Theater is a 15 min drive on Hwy 5 to Hackensack. Northern Lights Casino is roughly a 30 min drive away in Walker, MN. Walker has great shopping as well as Nisswa. Nisswa is a 45 min drive south on Hwy 371. For fisherman, this cabin is within 20 minutes of dozens of great fishing lakes, including Leech Lake, one of the greatest fisheries in the USA.

Notes:
The Cabin is 150 yards from the two docks available for use. The docks are on a private access road. The docks access Broadwater Bay, a northern bay of Woman Lake. This connects through to the main lake and also Girl Lake and Longville. Fishing is excellent year round with Walleye, Pike, Largemouth, Smallies, Muskie and Perch, the main species being caught. Water skiing and water sports are ideal for Broadwater Bay.
