The log home was gorgeous and charmingly decorated with bears, American Indians, and moose.

  • 5 of 5

It has a nice wrap around porch and stunning view of the mountains. The first floor had ample size with an open kitchen, living room with fireplace and dining area. The basement had a huge area with large screen TV and a jacuzzi outside. The loft had a great view and. Pool table/ping pong table. All the bedrooms were great and each one was close to a full-size bathroom. The fire pit outside was also inviting. Had a great experience there. Eat dinner as the sun goes down on the porch overlooking the mountains and be happy.

Absolute best cabin and location in Blue Ridge!

  • 5 of 5

I feel it’s super important to make this review lengthy because there is just too much amazingness that needs to be shared!! From the start of our reservation, Michelle was incredibly helpful and attentive and does a fantastic job staying in touch! She’s kind and funny which made everything so much smoother! We arrived at the cabin on the day of heavy snow fall. Michelle reached out to us to check on us and let us know about conditions! We made it safe and sound and could not believe our eyes at how gorgeous the cabin was and the absolute beauty of the location! It is nestled up on the mountain side Like a slice of heaven! We were even more speechless entering the cabin! The main floor has a master bedroom and bathroom with private entrance into the balcony! The bed is incredibly comfortable!! The kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of seating for our 8 family members! Michelle even allowed our family pet join!! The downstairs was so cool! It easily sleeps 10 people (1 queen bedroom, 1 queen bedroom including a bunk, 2 twin day beds and a queen sleeper) on beds and had a TV and entertaining area! Also a full bathroom! Couches and recliners are super comfy for naps after dinner, too! :-) 2 double doors lead to the bottom deck that has the hot tub, lounging chairs and a beautiful view of the mountain ridges! From the main floor, you can access the top floor!! This floor had another gorgeous master bedroom and full bath! We were also able to play ping pong and air hockey on the loft! There’s also a futon in the loft! The location of the cabin was super close to Food Lion and Walmart (in town) for a quick run to grocery shop! Neighbors are amazing as well! Michelle, AMAZINGGGG place and cannot wait to plan our next trip up! Merry Christmas!

*Beautiful cabin with Mountain View*

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful family friendly and pet friendly cabin with sensational views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A little piece of heaven that had everything we needed. Beautifully decorated with an authentic cabin feel. We definitely recommend this place! We plan to stay here again in the future!

Great views and close to town, but needs professional cleaning and updating.

  • 3 of 5

This home has beautiful mountain views (especially sunrise views), and is only 5 minutes from 515 and just a few minutes farther to old-town Blue Ridge. Lots of outdoor seating on the deck and a great fire pit made for some enjoyable outdoor time. The accommodations though are lacking- the mattress on the sleeper sofa is really unusable and badly needs to be replaced. The kitchen isn't very well equipped with several old pans and utensils , and some missing utensils as well. (ie: we had to purchase a potato peeler and the hand mixer had only one mixer blade). Mostly plastic mixing bowls and cheaper baking pans etc. that I feel should be of better quality for the premium price paid for the rental. Also, the cleaning quality was mediocre with visible dust on ceiling fans, and carpets and kitchen area rug that need cleaning.

It is completely understandable for things to get worn and/or go missing with vacation rentals as that is just the nature of the business, but just pointing out things that added inconvenience to our stay and impacted our sleeping arrangements as well.

The owner is very friendly and seemed to want to make the stay comfortable, so I have all confidence that many of the things mentioned will be addressed in the future. But for now , we are rating with 3 stars for our stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you for choosing Comanche Lodge and your feedback. We cleaned the ceiling fans last week and replaced the kitchen rug also. I also had an extra queen blowup mattress in the master bedroom if needed. I’m adding the potatoe peeler today. I sure wish you would had contacted me duringstay. With 16 guests I would of told you that the sleeper sofa mattress has a machine above the washer and dryer that inflates the sleeper mattress. I will make sure and let guests know that with a large group. I also have a huge container of casserole dishes, pots and pans that are located in the master bedroom closet for large groups so I will add those in the kitchen today as well.

Beautiful view, great cabin, plenty of room, mountains of fun!

  • 4 of 5

Our family used this cabin for our family reunion. We enjoyed the deck, views, playground, fire pit, and spent hours in the game loft. We appreciated that the TV was not the center of the living room.

The only down side was the grill we tried to use, didn’t seem to want to pull enough propane to get hot. Not sure if the second grill worked better. We used a crock pot the next night and continued having lots of fun!

Of course the area is fantastic with the views, the orchards, and the places to hike. Such a wonderful place to go!

Owner's Response: Thank you for choosing our family vacation home Comanche Lodge. It was a pleasure meeting you upon arrival. I deeply apologize about the propane tank. After seeing this review I learned about the bad tank and had it replaced immediately. Please text me anytime during your stay with questions or concerns. I would of dropped off a full tank that same day. Sincerely, Michele Kirk
