Very cozy and quiet apartment, located in the Oltrarno area of the city centre.
It is composed by a large living room and kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a terrace. It can easily accomodate a couple as well as a family or friends.
The whole apartment is adorned with ornaments and paintings from Florentine history and arts, which give it a very special atmosphere.
The building was the gatehouse for a 14th century convent. There still is original fresco painting on the wall.
The wooden ceiling, the arches made of brick and the rustic style of the kitchen give you the very warm feeling of old Florentine houses.
In the living room there are a sofa bed (1 size and a half),two armchairs, a bookcase, an antique cabinet with a big mirror.
There is a stereo for music and a laptop that you can use with internet and skype.
Then there is a table with four chairs (it extends to six seats), the kitchen corner and a little utility space with a refrigerator and freezer.
The kitchen is fully furnished with tableware, utensils and cookware, 4 gas range, gas oven, microwave oven, coffee maker.
A hallway leads to the bedroom area. There is a little bathroom with shower in the hallway. Then the two bedrooms: one bedroom has double bed (queen size), a wardrobe and dresser for the guest's use, a private bathroom with tub, access to the terrace.
The terrace has tables and chairs for outside meals. Very quiet, it overlooks an internal area of the block. There is a little utility room with the washing machine.
The other bedroom has two single beds (joinable) and a cabinet for guest's use. The window opens onto the terrace as well.
The apartment is located at the first floor of this14th century building (the convent gatehouse), in a small and quiet street in the San Frediano district.
The San Frediano is famous for the artisan workshops, out of the crowded areas of the centre, it is a neighborhood still inhabited and attended by locals.
Nearby the apartment you can find restaurants, shops, cafes, clubs, theatres,etc..

Hello, I'm Debbie, I'm a psychologist and I work with childrens.
I've been living in Italy many years ago, then I came back to the states, but I took this apartment
and it has always been my home away home.
My friend Tiziana, who lives in Florence, manage it for me. She will welcome you and she will be there for anything you need.
I spent the month of February at the apartment which I took to calling Casa di Angeli as some of the artwork that Deborah has throughout the apartment has a theme of angels. The apartment is so lovely with its beams, brick arches, artwork and even your very own fresco. It is comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and two large bedrooms. The balcony looks over tiled roofs and is private. The neighbourhood is within walking distance to the main tourist sites but is in a quiet residential area full of interesting shops and some great local restaurants. A supermarket and greengrocer is near. A pastry shop is near enough to go out every morning and buy warm croissants. Deborah's agent, Tiziana and her husband were so helpful and looked after our every need. I would love to come back and stay even longer:)
We (two couples) have just returned from a 5 night stay in this very well located flat. It's in a residential area that's about a 15 minute walk from the Duomo and other attractions, surrounded by several excellent local restaurants. We highly recommend the BBQ Trattoria Barbecue on the Piazza Torquato Tasso. The flat was comfortable and well equipped, we were out sightseeing most of the time but enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. Tiziana was very helpful and booked our taxi for us when we were leaving.
My wife and I rented the flat for a week and we had an excellent stay. Everything was as promised and there were no surprises. Everything was ready when we arrived, including a crib for our 10-month old son which was very helpful. Deborah and Tiziana were very easy to deal with. We would definitely rent from her again. We like to cook and the kitchen is well equipped. The location is very convenient, a few blocks from the river and a 15-minute walk from the train station. We ate dinners on the terrace most nights, very quiet and relaxing. Well worth it.
We, two older couples, have just returned from an 8 night stay and couldn’t have been more pleased. It’s an easy walk to most historical sights and you can then come back and eat at a local restaurant where you’re likely to be the only tourists. Take your choice, family to upscale, all good, and all a very short walk in a safe neighborhood. We are still missing our breakfast croissant from the Pasticceria that is literally a few steps away. What a way to experience Florence! Thank you Tiziana.
Great location in quiet residential neighborhood with good local restaurants. Close to bridge over river to city center accessing Florence museums. The apartment was an authentic Florence apartment, very clean, offered guide books of the city. The host was punctual in meeting us and helpful answering questions. It was nice to sit outside on the patio with a glass of wine. The breakfast bar down the street fueled us with espresso and pastries for the day.
We--two couples--spent three nights at this lovely apartment and enjoyed it immensely. The bedrooms are both good sized, and there are two bathrooms, which makes life just a little easier. The living room is comfortable, but the big treat is the lovely, quiet terrace in the back. An excellent place for sunset cocktails or a lovely lunch! We were pleased to find water and wine waiting for us, as well as coffee---after an international flight and subsequent train from Rome, we were weary, and felt very welcomed. Debbie and Tiziana provided lots of information about neighborhood restaurants, bus lines, shops and local points of interest. And the apartment is within walking distance of all the major sights. A big thumbs up!
