A great place to relax and enjoy the best that lake life has to offer. This quaint 2-level home is located on a quiet slough, yet convenient to the main channel. A two level dock provides ample room to spread out and enjoy swimming, sunbathing, fishing, boating, canoeing.
The house is located in a small two cul-de-sac neighborhood with no thru traffic which makes a great setting for walks and biking.
The main living level includes a living area with stone fireplace, kitchen, two bedrooms, a full bath with dual vanities, and a rear deck with porch swings and pub table overlooking the dock and lake.
A spiral staircase leads to the lower level consisting of a den area, bar/fridge, game table, bedroom, bathroom, a nautical themed kid's bunk room with 6 bunks, a small dry sauna, and a rear patio with chaise lounge chairs.
The home offers many different areas (living areas, deck, patio, dock) for guests to congregate in smaller groups and enjoy varied activities
Tims Ford Lake is a beautiful deep water lake with many fingers extending in between the surrounding hills. With over 350 miles of shoreline, there are plenty of areas to explore and enjoy the beauty of the lake.
For boaters, the dock includes a lift and two jet-ski floats. Popular water sports include water skiing, tubing, and wake boarding.
If fishing is a priority for your group, Tim's Ford is well known as a great small-mouth bass and striped bass lake. Large mouth bass, crappie, and catfish are also plentiful and area marinas provide leads on local guides that can put you on the fish.
If you chose to explore the surrounding area, there are many destinations to chose from, including charming downtown Winchester with shops, restaurants, and The Old Jail Museum; Tims Ford State Park with Bear Trace golfing as well as hiking, biking; Jack Daniels Distillery and Ms Bobo's restaurant in nearby Lynchburg; the Blue Gill Grill at Holiday Marina; Granny Fish's Restaurant in Tullahoma; and endless other intriguing sights.

The Owner purchased this house in 1990
Tims Ford Lake is in a beautiful setting in an area of rich heritage and tradition. The easy commute from major regional population centers (Chattanooga, Huntsville, Nashville, Atlanta) was also a point of interest.
sipping coffee and feeding the fish on the dock at day-break; kayaking in the early morning calm; grilling out; great times and great memories with friends and family, ...................
The house was perfect for our little reunion. The kids loved the bunk bed room. The kitchen was well equipped. Spent most of the time on the upper porch just chilling with family. Swimming was fun but could use a ladder on dock to get out of the water. Had a question and the owner returned my call immediately. Access to water is somewhat steep but do- able. Quiet and peaceful.
I rented this for my sister's "bachelorette party". It was perfect for relaxing with great food and friends. We stayed on the water most of the day. The secluded waterway was perfect for relaxing on a float in the water. The walk to the dock is a little steep, but not horrible. We were able to get a large cooler down with a little bit of extra effort. The rooms were very nice, and the bunk beds are super fun. We decided to have a slumber party with all six of us in there the last two nights. One problem we had was getting out of the water onto the dock, but were able to utilize the jet ski ramps. It was a fun weekend, and I highly recommend the TN Tahoe to anyone that wants to have a fun, relaxed weekend. Don't forget your chairs for laying out if you want to sun on the top deck though!
Two families rented this house for Memorial Day weekend. It was a nice place to stay, but not without some flaws. To start, the location was perfect. It's in a nice secluded cove away from the main lake traffic. The boat dock and lift were perfect! There was even a paddle boat which the kids and adults enjoyed. Moving on to the house, the basement was perfect for a group of 8 kids - a place for everyone to sleep comfortably and a place for them to hang out. Moving on to the upstairs, the kitchen is small and tricky to maneuver when preparing food for 12 people. The cabinets were very disorganized and the oven is very old and burned some of our food. We did most of our cooking on the grill, which worked great, but was under the deck. The main floor shower had no cold water, so the basement shower had to be shared. Thank goodness it was just a weekend trip! We had the kids "shower" in the lake - bar of soap and bottle of shampoo - works great! An outdoor shower would be a nice addition to this property.
I rented this house with several friends to enjoy a relaxing weekend. We had a great time. The house is even nicer than the pictures show. There are two main areas to hang out - one upstairs and one downstairs. The patio and grill are great, and the dock and water access are very convenient. If you stay here over a weekend, you should definitely go to the Winchester Speedway on Saturday night, which is only about 15 minutes away. We only saw the last hour of racing and wish that we had come sooner to see more!
Our stay in early August 2013 was a total success! This house is off the beaten path and has a dock on a very quiet cove with very little boat traffic. We had more than enough beds and bathrooms to comfortably accommodate 10 guys for a 3 day weekend. The house comes complete with 3 grills (small charcoal, large offset charcoal smoker, and gas) as well as all the utensils you'll need. We also found the small sauna to be a cool bonus although the hot summer temperatures kept us from utilizing it fully. Plenty of towels were included with our stay and there is a washer/dryer onsite which we were able to utilize to do laundry before the long road trip back to Texas.
We only had a few minor issues on the trip
1.) Due to a communications breakdown, we didn't receive our code to get in the cabin beforehand. I blame the automated VRBO system because Jon is too nice a guy for that to have been his fault. A short 30 minute wait and Jon returned my phone call with the code and an apology. The AC had been left on so the house was a comfortable oasis from the summer heat.
2.) We had a pretty substantial rain during our stay and the stairs to the bottom deck were a little slick. I let Jon know about it, and he's going to get it resolved. On that note, all the stairs are very steep so any guests with difficulty navigating stairs will only be able to utilize the top floor.
3.) You will have to take all your trash to a community facility down the road a few miles which is closed on Sunday. We got our trash dropped off, but be sure you plan ahead for trash dropoff.
4.) The kitchen is a little small/cramped to be cooking for large groups or to have more than 1 person in the kitchen at a time.
All those are minor issues in the grand scheme of things, and are offset by the following awesome things.
-the house can sleep 10 adults comfortably
-there's a sauna
-there's a functional dishwasher
-there's a functional washer/dryer
-the dock is amazing
-the water is deep
-the cove is private & quiet
-lots of towels
-great sunfish/perch fishing
And for the price, this place was a hell of a great deal. I wish it weren't such a faraway destination from my home base in Texas or I'd be renting it out 3 times a year with all my friends. I highly recommend a stay at the Tennessee Tahoe!
