Grest time had by all

  • 5 of 5

Everything was great, it was lovely and quiet, The only let down was the restaurant. 10 people waiting to be served only 1 on till to put an order in. Waiting tome 40 min then told they had ran out of rice. But the log cabin was everything you would want.

Lovely country park setting with plenty to do. Lodge is a pleasure to stay in. All home comforts and spotless everywhere. Will recommend to everyone we know and would certainly book again.

Great little lodge

  • 4 of 5

The position of the lodge, whilst some distance from reception and other amenities, was perfect for us. Very quiet setting .

We had every thing we needed in this cosy little lodge though, it is possibly a little 'tired'. That is the reason for four not five stars. The lounge furniture is great to sit on for a cup of tea and chat but, not to relax on. The only other improvement we could think of would be a small gate to stop little ones being able to leave the decking at the back of the lodge. This is a perfect area for them to play, we used the storage box on the decking as a barricade for greater peace of mind. A small gate, as some of the other loges have would have been ideal. The wifi was not at all stable and very sporadic. We found it better to log in to personal hotspots if we really needed to use the internet. All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay.

Very nice

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was cosy and clean, and well equipped. You can often watch rabbits play outside. Very helpful and friendly owner when we needed to contact him briefly. We enjoyed the jigsaw puzzles, and there is a nice selection of dvds and books also.

The only slight downside is that it really is quite far from the main complex. As I had a young baby, walking with the sling was a bit tiring and took over 20 minutes so we actually ended up driving and parking to eat/swim/shop. However it was close to the cliff top /beach. There was also noise from work being done on the next cabin but thankfully this was limited to the first day only.

A very enjoyable stay!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 3 nights with our 1 year old son and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful location and the cosy property.

The lodge has everything you could need to cater for yourself, but it is nice to also have the option to eat in one of Shorefield's clubhouse restaurants if you wish.

The property is very family friendly, as is the country park and we thoroughly recommend it!

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

This property is great for a getaway in the new forest. The accommodation is in a quiet area of the park and is plenty big enough for a family of 4. The boys loved waking up and watching the rabbits outside the lodge and also enjoyed the freedom to safely walk to the park shop alone. Plenty of places to visit from here but plenty of things to stay home for. The pool complex is fun for the kids and even when busy there is still enough room. A good place to stay and relax.
