Self-catering villa with private pool in a village near golf course

Villa Olivia is a traditional stone house with all the features of a modern and luxury home. The villa is set in a quiet little romantic village just 20 minutes drive from Paphos town. In the village there are three coffee shops, two tavernas and children's payground. From the village square you can follow the lane for about 200 meters to come to villa Olivia. The perfect position of this self catering villa gives the advantage of full privacy and unobstructed village and mountain views around. At the side of the main entrance is the pool with a lot of space around for sun-loungers and chairs. The pool is at a perfect position so that it gets heated by the sun all day long.

The temperature is still good to swim at 10:00pm in the summer. Inside we have chosen everything to make your summer holiday unforgettable. Split units with both hot and cold air, fly screens on all the bedroom windows, double glazing and warm welcoming look, make Villa Olivia the perfect summer holiday rental for you.

our holiday!

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I rented the villa for 1 week in June, we had a wonderful time.

We are frequent travellers but usually stay in luxury hotels, four seasons/hyatt ect so this was our first time renting a private villa, I had my doubts but I have to say I was totally bowled over once we saw the villa. The photos do not do it enough justice.

It was a true "Home from Home", everything you could possibly need, all fresh linen, clean & fluffy towels for everyday, soaps & bath creams. There was plenty of crockery, a bbq, we had a romantic candlelit meal by the pool one evening, the napkins, wine glasses & candles were all there for us to use.

This was the first holiday where we took no washing home!! the villa has a washing machine with soap powder for your use.

It was a fantastic villa with so many perks you would not believe.

There is a clean & comfortable car provided with the villa and they insure you before your arrival, you are collected from the airport and driven to the villa, so theres no stress involved in trying to find it!!

And finally a wonderful welcome pack for when you arrive, it had all the items that you would need for your first day, tea, milk, bread ect.

The villa was situated in a lovely little village, really quiet. The locals were very friendly and welcoming. If you didnt want to drive to paphos there is a great little bar in the village called Brookseys, run by an english couple, great sunday roasts, uk beers, bingo & other sports on sky tv.

We had a fab time and have already booked to go again.

Wundervolles Haus für tollen Urlaub

  • 5 of 5

Idyllic rural peaceful

  • 5 of 5

a wonderfulAway from it all home from home just what we were looking for and it certainly delivered. We have just returned from a wonderful time spent at Villa Olivia, our hosts Marios&Louisa were really welcoming couldn't do enough to make us really comfortable, the Villa was really well equipped best we have had plenty of seating & sunbeds outside to follow the sun or hide in the shade. The welcome pack was great to set us up even a bottle of home made wine which Marios made perfect, We did have a unexpected detour ended up in Larnaca instead of Phaphos, but Marios was our hero and came to pick us up at Larnaca which was a lot further but he saved the day and drove us straight to the Villa where we totally relaxed & chilled out .The local traditional taverna which was amazing the owners were really friendly the food and service was great and very reasonable they even dished us up a perfect meal when they were about to close. We only wished we had booked to stay longer hope to return soon cant wait . A haven of sunshine and calm

  • 5 of 5

Our stay has been relaxing and restful primarily due to this wonderful villa. Marios and Louisa our hosts have been exceptional in their attention and Marios' home made wine from his own grapes was a welcome gift on arrival. The rural setting and well configured villa makes it easy to sun bathe, float in the perpetually sunny pool area and sit in the shade if needed, whilst being so close to the kitchen that snacks and beverages can be taken alfresco. The neighbour's gardener gave us an abundance of freshly picked oranges and lemons and we juiced them immediately and sat drinking the juice whilst listening to the sounds of the singing birds. The garden is a host for wild life; butterflies, dragon flies and the odd gecko kept us company. Whilst rural, it was only a walk away from a lovely local taverna where the food is top draw quality. The inclusion of a car makes the villa a perfect package particularly as there is necessity to drive for food shopping and sight seeing.

We are leaving today and are sad that our holiday has come to an end. As yearly visitors to Cyprus, we would say that this villa is up here with our favourites. If you are looking for peace and quite with all mod cons...this villa is for you.

Highly recommended!

  • 5 of 5

Just back from an amazing holiday at Villa Olivia. Marios and Louisa are a lovely couple and very helpful throughout, even from before confirming the booking to seeing us off at the Airport at the end. The villa is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. They have thought of everything and it's a real home from home. There is a small utility room with washing machine and dishwasher (the washing dries very quickly on the laundry rack outside in the sun - I will miss that at home!). We didn't use the dishwasher as there was only the two of us. The pool is lovely and would be great in the summer, but was rather chilly in April. We did venture in once, but then restricted ourselves to just sitting on the side with our feet in the water! The outside area is a real suntrap but has plenty shade if you want it. There is a BBQ area although we didn't use it, and some herbs and lemons in the garden that you can use. There were plenty sunbeds and chairs/tables outside. The location is very private and secluded, and apart from occasional sounds from neighbouring properties, you can sit in total peace listening to the birdsong and sounds of nature - absolute bliss! There are two excellent restaurants in the village and we can highly recommend both. The Taverna serves traditional Greek food as well as other choices, and the hosts Anita and Antonis are very friendly and informative about the island and local area. The villa is separated from the next property by a fence and we enjoyed our chats with the lovely Sri Lankan man who worked there. A real character and very interesting to talk to. We learned a lot from him and will really miss him. There was a good selection of books and maps of the island, and reading material avaialble. Also music, DVD's and an android TV box so plenty to watch and listen to. There are some games for passing the time if you want them. The car is a Renault Scenic family car which was an added bonus, and the airport pick up and drop off made the trip so much easier.

All in all, a great holiday and we were very sad to leave Villa Olivia, and hope to return one day.

Awesome .........

  • 5 of 5

This is our second stay at Mario and Louisa's wonderful home and even better seen last stay. Since our last visit, they have worked hard to add little extras to the property and make sure that it is perfect for your vacation stay. Love it, love it, love it and already booked next year. Would highly recommended to anyone looking for a holiday vacation in a rustic traditional Cypriot village with easy access to Paphos. Thank you Marios and Louisa for those extra touches to make our holiday special.
