Comfortable three bedroom, elevated home just a few lots from the beach on a quiet cul-de-sac. Less than 100 yards to the lightly used beach access with no streets to cross! Other features include: Screened porch and large deck on front with limited ocean views, Large living & dining area, updated kitchen and new hardwood floors, grill, outside shower, internet. Linens NOT Included. NO SMOKING!

After a rough start, our vacation was very nice! I would have to recommend to staff at Island Realty, if you make a change to late night check in, confirm the guests receive the e-mail or voice mail or don't make the change. We arrived at 1:30 am to not finding a key in the box we were told to check. Our lockbox had been changed and apparently an e-mail was sent along with a VM but we had a wedding that day which kept us busy so we did not check our e-mail or voice mail. We ended up having a girl from Island Realty leave her home in Charleston and meet us at the house and finally got in at 3:30 am, not a very pleasant experience. Please confirm message was received in future.

We used to live in CHS and return to IOP over the July 4th holiday in the summer (hands down, THE best fireworks on the beach!). This was our first time renting through Island Realty (we needed a larger home to accommodate family that joined us). The location of this home is perfect for a convenient, quick walk to/from the beach (also in a safe area with less traffic than other parts of IOP). Having lived in the CHS area, palmetto bugs (aka cockroaches) are not new to us, but we were very surprised at how many we had to capture in this house. The gap under the door definitely needs to be fixed. The number of spiders in the 3rd floor master suite is also an indication the pest control company isn't doing their job. Then there's the issue with the imbalanced air conditioning. The master suite would get into the 80s/90s during the day, but eventually cool down to the set temperature of 73 degrees at night. Not an issue if your time inside will be minimal, but thought I would share. Upon our arrival I noticed there were two maintenance indicators on the thermostat (one to change the air filters, and the other to replace the batteries in one of the 2 thermostats). I contacted the after hours emergency line to inform them. They said someone from the maintenance team would call me back within the hour. No one called me. Granted, not an "emergency", an acknowledgement would have been preferred.
