Wonderful stay on the mountaintop

  • 5 of 5

Our group of friends from college stayed at this great home for our annual get together. The house was clean, had everything we needed (even condiments and spices!), and very comfortable. Our favorite part was the amazing deck that we relaxed on throughout our stay. The area is beautiful as well, with amazing views down the road at the stone church, and a lovely hike a few miles away at Sam's Point Preserve. Diane, the owner, responded quickly to all of my emails and was very accommodating when we needed to add a person and dogs after we booked our stay. I would highly recommend this home, and look forward to returning in the future!

Family time during West Point's graduation week.

  • 5 of 5

Our group of ten relaxed in the comfort of this wonderfully equipped, well-maintained home and truly enjoyed the beauty of the area. When we weren't involved in graduation week activities we took advantage of the fantastic deck and outdoor facilities. The kitchen and dining areas (indoor and outdoor) met our family's needs completely. Bedrooms are comfortable and plentiful. The living space on the first floor is very large, allowing us to all be together inside when we couldn't be outside.

Diane provided a lot of useful information on the property and the area. She was extremely responsive to our questions and made us feel welcome in her communications. The payment process was efficient and we felt the price was very fair. All in all, a wonderful week. For West Point graduations, it is a bit of a drive but we felt it was well worth it.

The local area was a wonderful surprise to us Midwesterners with its quaint villages and towns. The Stone Church at the end of the road is a historic gem with a view like few others. Various services (grocery, drug store, gas station) are only a few miles away. Diane provided information from a grocer that allowed us to have a meal from their deli waiting for us (as well as food staples) when we arrived on the first afternoon.

All in all, a great property.

Sister's weekend

  • 5 of 5

This is the 3rd year my sister's and I have rented this lovely home. I have 8 sister's and two sister inlaws and we try to get together every year for a girls weekend. This year we had 10 and we had plenty of room. The one thing we all noticed the first year was how comfortable we felt right away. The living room is very cozy and the fire place adds a very nice touch. We so enjoy relaxing on the deck and the hot tub is an added bonus. This year the owner let me know about a local market called Peters Market and we placed a food order they had it delivered and stocked in the refrigerator for us before we arrived. Everything we ordered was very perfect. I would definitely recommend this rental. The home is warm and inviting and surroundings are beautiful. Can't wait for next year!

New Years Stay

  • 5 of 5

We have rented this house for New Years, we absolutely loved it. We had an amazing time, the kitchen had everything you can image, living room had lots of seats, closed fireplace was very warm, dinning room lots of seats, lots of games to play, outdoor patio, beautiful lights around the whole deck and the hot tub we enjoy a lot. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone. We would definitely stay here again.

Great get-away with friends!

  • 4 of 5

A group of friends and I, mixed with couples and non-couples, stayed here for MLK weekend and had a blast! The house has a variety of sleeping arrangements, making it perfect to find a spot for everyone. The kitchen had everything I needed to feed 11 people- out of a 3 night stay we didn't go out to eat once! Some brave souls in the group went for the hot tub and we couldn't get them out until hours later, despite the sub-freezing weather outside.

The owner was extremely helpful and was great at maintaining communication. The pictures don't do enough justice for the home- we can't wait to head back next year!

A great base of operations in Hudson Valley

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of six guys hang out for a long weekend in December. The house was perfectly situated for easy access to breweries, paintball, and even clay pigeon shooting. And when we found ourselves back at night, the house had ample room inside and out to spread out. We look forward to returning.
