A luxurious French farm house located in a peaceful and friendly rural hamlet.

A traditional and luxurious French farm house located in a peaceful and friendly rural hamlet in the heart of Burgundy. Beautifully renovated in 2011 there are 6 double bedrooms upstairs , the master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with separate shower and double sink. There is a main bathroom, a cloakroom and a fantastic wet room. The water pressure has been upgraded to ensure gorgeously powerful showers!

Downstairs there is a fully fitted kitchen with a range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge. There is a second fridge with a freezer compartment in the utility room, which has a washing machine and sink.

The main large sitting room has stunning oak flooring and an extremely efficient wood burner. The second sitting room has a sofa bed, so can be used as an extra bedroom, both have satelite television with UK Sky TV. The breakfast/ dining room has tradtional Burgundian style tile flooring and an original kitchen table seating 14 (plus high chair).

There are stunning views over the valley from the garden and a fenced and alarmed swimming pool (9.5m x 4.5m). There is a pool/ table tennis table and darts board in one of the barns.

In the garden there is a wooden climbing frame with swings and a slide plus an enclosed trampoline for children.

Overall, the house is fantastic for all ages and groups of family and friends. It is a great place to unwind and enjoy the peacefulness of the area, and there is so much to explore and experience nearby!

We have a lady (speaks French and English) who manages the house for us and is there for you to contact during your stay and help you with any needs.

We also offer catered evenings, a pre arrival shopping service, to make sure that you really make the most of the holiday experience, and wine tastings by local sommeliers in our renovated wine cellar. Please enquire re prices for these.

Located on the edge of the Morvan National Park,15mins from Autun, 10 min from Arnay Le Duc, Saulieu with Bernard Loiseau's Michelin star restaurant is approx. 20 mins drive away, Beaune (and vineyards) approx 30 min drive, Dijon is approx 45 min drive away. Watersports, Golf courses, Go karting, beautiful villages nearby.

About Anna

We are an English family, with 4 young children. We recently moved out of London where my husband has his own building business.

I speak French and Spanish and our children are at or have been to a French nursery school - our French link is very important to us.

Why Anna chose Voudenay

My husband and I bought the property when it was a 2 bedroomed cottage and have renovated it over the years as we wanted to be able to share our wonderful home with friends and family. We have rented other properties ourselves and were determined to make our house practical for all ages and groups whilst at the same time luxurious and comfortable with high quality furnishings, bedding etc. We want people to enjoy their holiday as much as we do each time we go there, and appreciate the area, the setting and the friendly feel to the hamlet, which we love.

What makes this house unique

We love the setting of the house - in a very friendly rural hamlet, you instantly appreciate the tranquility as soon as you arrive!

The large dining room table was a piece of wood we found in one of the barns, which we lovingly turned into a beautiful table. We have tried to keep as many original features, such as barn doors for cupboard doors and have restored many of the stone walls to make them features.

Superbly furnished delightful French farmhouse

We have a family holiday in France each year and they all felt this was '... just the best' ! The setting could not have been better for the grandchildren and adults alike, the decor in the farmhouse was delightful in every detail and splendid bathrooms appreciated by all. The surrounding villages were in easy reach making this location ideal for families. This rental is faultless and recommended 100% + !

An elegantly furnished house in country setting..

An elegant and tastefully furnished farm house in a quiet country setting. Sitting out on the deck there is a marked absence of noise and at night there is no light pollution so the stars are brilliant.

The garden is safe for children with a fenced off swimming pool with alarm. The swings and trampoline keep kids happy for hours!

A really wonderful place to have a holiday.

We very much enjoyed our holiday at Sansange - the house is very comfortable with plenty of bedrooms and fantastic bathrooms, situated in a pretty rural area, within a short drive of Beaune.

Country Retreat

Beautifully restored, comfortable French country cottage in the heart of the farming community. A true get-away-from-it-all idyll. Whilst a car is essential, amenities are close by and day trip possibilities abound in the locality with a national park, lakes, vineyards and historic towns all within easy reach.

Flights are now available from Southampton to Dijon.
