Wonderful Experience

  • 5 of 5

Great place! Never seemed crowded as the layout accommodated everyone perfectly. Location was key as walks to the beach and town were short and scenic. Terry keeps the place impeccably clean, well stocked, and made herself available whenever questions arose. We would definitely stay again - thank you for everything!

Big rambling old house a short walk from downtown Charlevoix

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at this fine old house as part of a family reunion at the end of July. With 9 in our party we appreciated the spacious downstairs areas with a living room large enough to accommodate us all and a dining room to match. There are two window air conditioning units, one in the living room, the other upstairs in the master bedroom. Other bedrooms have box fans to keep things cool. None of the other houses our extended family rented had a/c so we came out ahead. All bedrooms are upstairs.

Downtown Charlevoix with its shops and restaurants is only a five minute walk away. We found ourselves timing our excursions around the drawbridge which goes up every half-hour (approximately).

The wireless network was good. Beds were adequate. The kitchen lacked for nothing. A large two-car garage made it easy to keep our cars off the street (not that that would have been a problem).

The only negative aspect of the house is due to its proximity to the four lane highway that runs past the front. The windows are new and well sealed, keeping much of the street noise out although from time to time the house would briefly shake when a passing truck hit a bump. Traffic dies down in the evening making this less of a problem then. Pulling out onto the highway is a bit tricky due to the curve it takes in the vicinity of the house, part of which is obscured by shrubs. Still, this was never a problem for us.

Terri, the owner, is very pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed meeting her.

All in all, a great base for your vacation in Charlevoix.

Great House - Close To Downtown

  • 5 of 5

A very spacious, clean, happy house. Kitchen is fabulously stocked with anything you could ever need. We loved all the details of the old architecture. Had a beautiful week. Art show downtown. Lots of boats in town. Owner very easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Amazing, large, and beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

This house is so gorgeous. My now-husband and I had our small wedding here. We were so happy to see how extremely beautiful it is. It has amazing wood details throughout the whole house and is much larger than the pictures show. Seriously, it's spacious (we were shocked when we walked into the house). Everyone had plenty of bathroom space to get ready for the wedding and throughout the weekend there was no crowding or issues with sharing space with 10+ people. All our guest were amazed at the house and plan on using in the future when they come to visit Charlevoix. To top it all of, Terry was great to communicate with and so very nice. After speaking to her on the phone, I was very happy to know I was renting from someone who cares so much about her house and her guests. The house is within walking distance of downtown which is great for a walk to dinner or out to the bars. I would HIGHLY recommended this house and I am very happy to have made memories at such a beautiful home in Charlevoix.

Spectacular Vacation Location!

  • 5 of 5

Our adult family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautifully decorated home. The furnishings were stunning, and although Victorian to fit the home, were elegantly modernized. Eclectic touches throughout the home added to the fabulous surroundings. We had a difficult time taking everything in. We hope to return one day to absorb it all. The pictures couldn’t even capture everything. This place is a must see!

The kitchen was well situated with ample room for helpers. There wasn’t anything missing to allow for our abundant cooking!

What a convenient location. It was superb! We were within walking distance to town and to the beach area. We took our morning stroll, with coffee in hand, to the beach to enjoy the fresh, morning air and watch the waves roll in. What a great way to start the day. The beach was magnificent in the evening as we watched the sunsets – right into the wee hours of the morning just visiting and listening to the waves lap the shoreline.

We can’t wait to stay at this lovely place next summer!
