Seven Totally Private Acres With All Paved Access And Captivating Mountain Views
- english, french, spanish
We are easy going and love the outdoors. Thank you for considering our cabin. Mena & Lee have rented and owned cabins in the North Georgia Mountains for over 15 years. We used to vacation in the Gatlinburg, TN area, but over time found it to be too commercialized. On our search for a new vacation destination, we quickly fell in love with the quaint North Georgia towns of Blue Ridge and Ellijay and the friendliness of the locals. We would like to welcome you to our cabin and hope you will have an amazing stay. We created Heaven's Gate to be more than that home away from home. It was designed to be super comfortable and well equipped so that guests could relax and reconnect. The cabin is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is only minutes from downtown Ellijay and boasts privacy, where nature and wildlife are only steps from your door. One of the things we pride ourselves on is being accessible to our guests and future guests, so feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Why Lee chose Ellijay
Nestled in privacy on seven TOTALLY PRIVATE acres and offering a wall of windows overlooking 500 acres of unspoiled wilderness and captivating mountain views, Heaven's Gate Lodge is 3400 sqft with all paved access and 10 minutes to town and 90 minutes from Atlanta.
What makes this Cabin unique
Privacy, privacy, privacy. Waking up as the sun greats you is truly something to treasure. The cabin is located in a upscale gated community with all paved access and end-of-the-road privacy. The cabin overlooks 500 acres of unspoiled wilderness. This is where beautiful memories are made.

A Moment In Time
Perfect home and location to relax and unwind from the rest of the world!
Had everything we needed, plenty of dishes and cookware. Beds very comfortable! Plenty of things to do from playing pool to reading a book or just plain sitting on the deck enjoying the view!
Very peaceful! Our grandchildren had so much fun on the outdoor treehouse playground.
50th Anniversary Weekend!
It was very good, especially in light of the fact that it rained or was overcast our whole time there!
We did not have enough mattresses for our children, while we were told that there would be. However, we had enough sleeping bags, and we worked it out.
Thank you for the weekend! Joe Dunn
Hi Joe and Joannie:
Thank you for staying at our place. It was a pleasure planning the event with you and we are glad you had a good time. We were surprised by your comment that there weren’t enough sleeping accommodations, since we never heard about that during your stay. We provide sleeping accommodations for 12 with five king and queen beds and a futon and your reservation only listed 7 guests. If we had known that you didn’t include your children in the reservation and you were going to exceed the guest count, we would have gladly recommended a larger cabin. Regards, Lee
Great stay all around
everything was great A-Z. Peaceful property with everything you need. Would book again
We are so glad to hear we checked all the boxes on your wish list for this special getaway. We hope to have you back soon. Cheers, Lee
We had an awesome visit! The views are incredible, the house was amazing, and we loved our stay!
Thank you for the five star review and being such great guests! We have to agree the views are something special, whether you are greeting the sun with a cup of joe or relaxing by the fire table as the sun sets. Mena and Lee
Beautiful Mountain View
Enjoyed the stay, overall. Like many of the other homes that I rented with HomeAway has been with the cleanliness of the homes. Most have had dust, hair, stains and spots on carpet and furnishings, even very good reviews.
Check out the local wineries and apple orchards in the area. Several provide entertainment and activities for the whole family. There are an abundance of hiking trails in the area including Bear Creek, Fort Mountain, Carter’s Lake, Benton MacKaye and the Appalachian Trail.
