About Walt & Heidi Robak
Ourselves, Walt & Heidi Robak along with our two children Eric & Brie are your hosts at the Lakeside at Loon Lake. Originally from New Jersey, Walt was in the construction field and Heidi was a teacher with a degree and a back ground in Hotel Management. We purchase the Lakeside on July 14th 1998 and started making updates and renovations that very same year and never stopped. Year after year we have many of the same families return and we have also built many new friendships through the years.
Walt & Heidi Robak purchased this Cabin in 1998
Why Walt & Heidi Robak chose Chestertown
The Lakeside at Loon Lake is a small family owned and operated Adirondack retreat located on the southern tip of Loon Lake. All of our cabins, suites and main house have been renovated with Post and Beam and knotty Pine to keep with that Adirondack lodge or cabin charm, yet still providing many of the amenities that one would expect to see in many updated vacation rentals. We are nestled in the beautiful and quiet Adirondack Mountains, but yet no more than 25 minutes from most all attractions.
What makes this Cabin unique
Loon Lake is one of the more beautiful lakes in the Adirondacks. It is fed by mountain streams as well as natural springs that keep the water moving all the time and in turns keeping it crystal clear. It is a small enough lake that is not commercialized, so this keeps the traffic on the lake to a minimum, but yet it is large enough to rent a boat and go skiing, tubing or fishing. There also is a beautiful sandy beach just a 100ft from the Lakeside that has a lifeguard on duty all summer.

Great place for vacation in Adirondack!
Wonderful experience! The cabin is very clean. A minute of walking to the beach. Sandy beach and clean nice temperature water in a lake for swimming. The place is great if you have young kids. Plenty of walking trails in an area. The host Walter is very helpful and always available. We definitely will come back!
An Adirondack cabin
Cabin was nicer than shown in photos & has a beautiful lake directly across the street. The RV park next door has a great camp store with delicious sandwiches & more flavors of soft serve ice cream than I'd ever seen. We had many enjoyable dinners in the local area restaurants, went on the Mohican full lake cruise from Bolton's Landing, did the Chester Challenge (had to do 6 out of 8 hikes in the area), had fun shopping at the Cross Roads general store, the Adirondack general store & also the Lazy Moose Garden Market, shopping in Bolton's Landing & browsing antique shops on a rainy day, & of course, you can head to Lake George Village for all that offers. Will definitely make a return visit!
