You are currently viewing the absolute nicest studio at The Whaler. Unit 1064 has been meticulously remodeled and professionally decorated. The unit is also VERY competitively priced from $199 - $329 per night ($199 rate is for last minute bookings less than 30 days out with a minimum stay of 10 nights - see rate schedule below).

The unit is located on the 10th floor of tower ll with spectacular sweeping panoramic views looking north to BlackRock, the island of Molokai, Kaanapali Beach and 'the boardwalk'. Looking east you also have spectacular views of the Kaanapali golf course, green mountains and the newly landscaped courtyard waterfall and Koi pond. This unit sleeps up to 4 adults.

Studio unit 1064 has been completely and meticulously remodeled (cost of $140,000) by master craftsmen contractor Scott Williamson (known as the best remodeling contractor on West Maui). This remodel has spared no expense. Everything is of the highest quality of materials and craftsmanship from the custom fabricated granite counter-tops to the Italian glass imported tile back splash and trim. Everything is brand-new you will literally be staying in a brand new posh condominium Suite. Amenities include chefs gourmet kitchen, 'Sub-zero' built-in refrigerator with ice maker, king size pillow-top bed (Murphy bed) with Egyptian Cotton 650 thread count sheets, posh super comfortable sectional sofa sleeper, over-sized dining chairs, impressive wall unit entertainment center hosting the new 46' LED TV + DVD and foldout executive size desk for those working vacations. Free cable TV and high-speed Internet is available in the room (provided it's not down for regular maintenance).

All linens are provided fresh and clean. Mid-visit cleaning is provided to guests who stay 10 nights or longer upon request. Month long stays will receive a weekly clean Upon request. Additional housekeeping services are available upon request for additional charge. There is a $145 check out cleaning fee for up to 2 guests and $175 for 3-4 guests.

The Whaler Resort is one of the premier condominium resorts in Maui. It is located in the most ideal location of Kaanapali Beach (between the Sheridan and Westin Hotels and next to Black Rock and Whalers Village Shops). Everything totally convenient and is in walking distance. Whalers Village has over 100 shops and restaurants for eating or just to browse through, so you and the family never have to jump in the car to go eat or shop....or drive home after dinner. Kaanapali Beach has been distinguished as being named 'Best Beach in the USA' year after year by resort critics.

Enjoy sailing, snorkeling, surfing, diving, golf, tennis, scuba diving, fine dining, hiking, jogging and world class shops all only steps away from your fully equipped 'plush' condominium. Other amenities include fitness and business centers, tennis courts, swimming pool & hot tub (jacuzzi), on-site spa & salon plus barbecue and picnic areas.

To reserve, a 25% Reservation deposit is required, balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. If there are more than two (2) guests staying in the unit or if there are any infants or children under the age of 18 - There is a $300 damage deposit refundable within 14 days of departure upon satisfactory inspection of condo by the maid. This is our second stay in a Jim Doan property, and as the first time, we could not be happier. Every possible amenity is found in the tastefully decorated suite. The view of the ocean, Black Rock, and the mountains, plus the gardens and pool cannot be beat! We look forward to our next stay!

Jim's condo was one of the nicest condos we've ever stayed at. We spent 5 nights prior at the Westin, and wish we would have stayed here the entire time.

I'm so happy we found this gem as it is well appointed with spectacular views. We had breakfast every morning on the lanai while watching the amazing sunrise. We spent most of our time on the beach. Jim's condo had chairs and an umbrella for our use, but we found it easy to rent them from the beach concierge (actually we were too lazy to take them)!

We're already planning our next trip and we will plan to stay here the entire time! Thanks, Jim, for being so gracious and sharing your beautiful condo with us. See you next year! :)

Grateful travelers!

My husband and I have stayed at the Whaler for thirty plus years and have actually owned a studio time interval for the past eight, so we are very familiar with the various accommodations there. Jim's condo is, without a doubt, one of the most beautifully decorated and has gorgeous views, just as described.

When we contacted Jim about availability for a very last minute trip (I'm talking arriving the next day), he very graciously accommodated us, even though it meant that he had to vacate the unit in order to do so. He definitely went out of his way to facilitate the check in process and to show us around and answer any questions we might have about the unit itself. We're looking forward to checking out his other condos when we have extra family members traveling with us in the future. Thanks again, Jim!!

Most amazing trip ever !!!

My husband and I just returned from our first trip to Maui in celebration of our ten year wedding anniversary, and had the pleasure of staying in Jim's amazing condo !!! This unit is first class all the way. The finishes are all high end, from the well equipped kitchen and beautiful bathroom, to the super soft bed and comfortable furniture, this unit will not disappoint !! The location of the unit can't be beat with one of the best beaches in Maui within a few steps outside your door, and some of the best snorkeling I have ever experienced just a short walk down the beach to Black Rock. The view of the beach from the lanai is amazing and we found ourselves leaving the slider doors open quite a bit to enjoy the soothing sounds of the ocean. My husband and I loved Whaler's Village, and walked the shops almost every night. We had a wonderful dinner at the Hula Grill and enjoyed a sunset dinner cruise on one of the catamarans (Hula Girl) that was available from the beach. Thank you Jim for sharing your gorgeous condo with us,it was an absolute pleasure working with you. This was our first trip to Maui and you made booking very easy, and uncomplicated. We will definitely be back next year !!! :)

Dream location in Maui!

We just returned from a 2 week dream vacation in unit 1064 at Jim's Whaler condo 9/27-10/10/14. Although we had visited Maui numerous times, we had never stayed here or used VRBO for our accommodations. We booked thru Jim several months in advance and found him to be friendly, informative and highly organized-booking was a breeze and we felt confident in the details being handled. Naturally we'd seen the photos and read the reviews but we were absolutely thrilled upon arrival. The room was lovely with high-end finishes throughout, gorgeous fully equipped kitchen & bath and lovely art and furnishings, super comfy bed an soft sheets. The mirrored wall expanded the already magnificent views as well. Plus on the lanai there were beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, noodle, snorkel set & more for our use. The ocean & Black Rock views are absolutely spectacular surpassing anything that can be captured in a photo! We were pleasantly surprised to find the views of the hills and golf course off to the right were also quite stunning. The convenience of this unit can't be beat. We always rent a car but used it a lot less this trip because there wasn't much need or desire to go anywhere we couldn't go on foot. With excellent restaurants, bars, shopping, sunset strolls... it truly has it all! What we love the most was the perfect swimming beach below-the best of any swimming beach we could ever hope for. It is a short walk to the waters edge with a Whaler beach hut for towels, services and friendly staff. The pool isn't overly crowded & pleasant with morning coffee, afternoon lemonade and plenty of comfy lounge chairs with sun covers when needed. It was great to go from the ocean to a cool shower to the pool-our prescription for a perfect day. The lanai was a terrific spot any time of day and we kept the huge glass doors open pretty much 24/7 to take in the views and sound of the surf. We are already looking ahead to when we can go back to unit 1064-it is all we will ever need for a magical Maui experience.
