About Debra Gerdin
As an Army family of six, we had the opportunity to travel around the world, but are thrilled to have finally settled down in Colorado Springs.
Debra Gerdin purchased this Cabin in 2002
Why Debra Gerdin chose Black Forest
We fell in love with Colorado Springs and this property 13 years ago. This particular cabin is one of seven cabins, which were built in 1925, on six and a half acres of forested land. Although we have fully renovated the 90 year old homes, their history remains largely intact.

Serendipity...what a great place to stay in the Colorado Springs area. Such a sweet cabin, but we only had one night, and I'm so glad we chose this spot. Highly recommend this place, especially for a couple.
Lovely cozy cabin! Clean, accommodating, fantastic views. Close enough to the city for activities but far enough out to enjoy the scenery and peaceful environment. We would definitely stay here again.
Cozy Little Cabin
This cozy little cabin was just as it says. Perfect for two people and easy access to all the attractions. We were there for a wedding who’s ver close to the venue. It had everything we needed and could have packed a little less. Deb the host was very easy to work with and very accommodating. She even helped us find another cabin on short notice. Definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to see the sites in Colorado Springs 👍👍👍
Cute and cozy cabin
This was a wonderful comfortable and cozy cabin in a lovely location. There was a skylight above the shower which is something I never knew I needed.
Cute quaint place enjoyed it!
Very relaxing and quiet, loved watching the bison on the hill!! Nice views!!
Great way to get away!
My wife and I stayed in the cozy cabin and loved the living area. It was the perfect size for a couple to spend 5 days away. The kitchen was great for easy meals like breakfast. Be sure to use the fold out tables in the closet if you eat meals in the home! We missed those, but we didn't mind. Comfy bed, and nice shower. While eating breakfast outside a little group of deer walked by and hungout! Expect a 10-15 minute drive to anything in town. Although by road, we still felt the solitude and peacefulness we were looking for. Beautiful mountains in the distance and animals all around. Would recommend to any considering.
