Great Place, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 stayed here for a full week. When I booked the house, I was most concerned about location. Not this house, but all the ones I looked at since I had never been to COS before. After spending a week here, the house is in a great location. You are just a few blocks north of Uintah Street which bends around and intersects about anywhere you want to go. Great food and drinks in downtown COS as well. Took advantage of Phantom Canyon Brewing Co several nights. It is possible to walk to and from the downtown area but wouldn't recommend it with small children. As far as the actual house goes, it's set up great. You could easily fit 4 adults and 4 kids in here no problem. We never used the kitchen area but it was set up nice and all the appliances were newer. Washer and Dryer was a huge plus especially if you are like us and spent your whole trip hiking and rafting! The little porch is a great place to have a cup of coffee or a bottle of wine. There are two other properties to rent - a converted garage and the downstairs of the house. We never heard anyone else ever. The A/C is completely supplied by window units and individual standing A/C units. This was not a problem, it never got hot in the house and this was late July. However, it can be a little noisy. Wasn't an issue for us though. The owners were very helpful throughout our stay and stayed in contact to make sure all was well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Possibly the most PERFECT getaway in Colorado Springs!

  • 5 of 5

WHAT a sweet and fabulous experience for me and my guests. I loved every small detail and our hosts were so kind in leaving notes throughout the space with instructions for use, generous small tokens of welcome, and a general good feeling that was in this lovely home. The master bedroom was so well situated! Upstairs in the loft above the master would be a great place for young children to sleep and be close to adults. The other rooms were decorated so beautifully! The only thing that we would have hoped for is a small window air conditioner in the guest bedroom as well. It was very warm and our guests were hot with just the fan but it is unseasonably warm in CO Springs this summer so it wouldn't be needed most of the year! That would have just been a nice bonus and we were so truly comfortable! What a LOVELY stay! Thank you to our amazing hosts. We appreciate your attention to detail and your kind hospitality.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review, Nathan. Actually, we do have a window AC unit in the second bedroom, on the east wall. I'm sorry you had any trouble.

Kid Friendly and Great Location

  • 5 of 5

My 3 grandsons loved the loft -- they had their own space; their own TV and a place to play. My 14 year old grandson loved the bedroom with the staircase to the loft. He called it his "Harry Potter" room because it had a cupboard under the stairs - similar to the one in the movie. When we first arrived, the cooling unit in the loft was not working properly and it was 90 degrees in the room. We contacted the owner and the property managers came that same night - even though it was past 9 o'clock at night. They replaced the unit. Would absolutely recommend staying at this house.

Everything and more!

  • 5 of 5

The property is exactly what is depicted in the photos. The owners provide everything you need and more. Our kids, ages 1.5, 7, 8 & 11 loved the play area and games - there was plenty to keep everyone busy. We also really enjoyed the patio. The property was the perfect central location as well, only about 15-30 minutes to all of the places we visited in Colorado Springs. If our family goes back to Colorado Springs, we plan to stay here again!
