This two story Chalet is solid redwood and sits on the Big Bushkill creek and has the view and water sounds that make you get up early; get your coffee, and sit on the upper deck, and just enjoy. There is an out door fire pit right next to the Bushkill creek where it just does not get any better for
fireside evenings with friends or family. May, June and July are great for floating down creek with tubes, fishing and swimming.
The full service kitchen, master bedroom, and big family room
are all upstairs. A wall of glass doors lets the view into the family room.
Down stairs there is two other bed rooms, T V and game set up
and a professional pool table. Another wall of glass lets the view blend into the room.

My name is Harris, I love fishing and wilderness, and this place is so close ; Its a great escape without traveling too far.
I have vacationed, and fished this area for over 30 years and still
stand in awe of the natural beauty surrouning this area.
Harris Gordon purchased this chalet in 1987
This is the best area of Poconos. Why? Close to Delaware river, and all connected activities. On Big Bushkill trout stocked stream, Close to camel back water park Shopping is easy for groceries; and Tannersville outlets are close. There are several
good restaurants that are reasonably priced close by also. are ; This is a great location to relax and hear the soothing sound of the water!!!
Lots of outdoor deck area that overlooks
georgous waters with that soothing sound
of moving water. Great place to Dine or just enjoy coffee and family. You can hike on one of the most beautiful trails in
ponocos;right from the house. The trail winds and follows the
Bushkill stream as it heads toward the Delaware river.
We arrived here July 2, 2016 to spend the 4th of July weekend with my family and fiance. I have to admit, my parents had many questions before booking and arrival that Harris answered promptly. Upon arrival, he greeted us to give us a tour of the place. The place was BEAUTIFUL! The creek is just a few steps away and we woke up to the sound of the waters each morning. The huge deck on the second floor that wraps around the entire second floor provided all 8 of us plenty of space. My grandma and parents enjoyed sitting by the fire pit in the early hours of the morning before heading out to sight seeing to near by Bushkill falls. Harris also provided us with four fishing rods and tubes for the creek. The water seemed shallow to go tubing and we tried fishing but with no luck - but being from NYC we don't have much patience. It's not a 5 star hotel, but it definitely has it's amenities that make it very homey. It was a home away from home. Also, I did not know there was a hammock but we did enjoy an hour or two enjoying the view and relaxing on it. We definitely over packed, so a word of advice, all pots and pans and silverware are provided as well as paper goods; even basic cooking ingredients. You literally have to just bring your food, drinks, clothes, towels and personal hygiene products. My first time on VRBO but I am so happy we chose this place. One of the nights it was very loud with constant fire works nearby but that is understandable since it was a holiday weekend. If situation allows, I would love to visit again, either with family or with friends. He provided us with more than enough paper goods and firewood, as well as live bait for fishing. We had the fire going in the pit most of the time throughout our stay, except when we went to bed. He has a few rules, but nothing too strict, things that make sense and would follow in your own home. I would recommend and stay over and over again!
Thank you again Harris for your hospitality.
Harris met us personally, explained everything, was very kind to provide us with fishing rods and even some bate! There is basic equipment in the house. Nothing fancy, but pretty much everything you'll need. The house is well maintained and cared for. We especially loved the pool, the fire pit, the hammock and the veranda equipped with recliner bed, table, chairs and gas BBQ. The place is extremely quiet and the creek is just a few steps away. I didn't catch the trout, but I've seen it. Lovely place! Oh, and it's just 15 minutes drive from nearby attractions like Booshkill waterfalls, Appalachian trail, rental places for bikes, kayaks etc., groceries, restaurants and even a local movieplex...
This the place to gateaway from the city and have some fun and relaxing time i went there with my family and they all love it harris great person very helpful definitely i will go back its good for adults and kids some much to do you can go in the lake or have some fun with the pool table or watch tv just a perfect gateaway from the city
8 of us stayed for a weekend. It was AMAZING. First off, when we showed up Harris was there to personally greet us and show us the property. He answered all of our questions. He told us of activities in the area we could take advantage of and said we could literally go river tubing from the backyard! I said I'd love to go tubing and the next morning I woke up to 3 tubes waiting for me and my friends. He also dropped off a fishing pole. WHAT A GUY! I also gave him too much money accidentally and he made sure to call me and let me know.
There was plenty of room and everyone was comfortable. Very nice, homey atmosphere.
The real star of the trip was the backyard. A fire pit and the river rushing by us made for a truly scenic experience.
Great time and I can't wait to go back!
6 of us arrived to the property around 10:30pm friday night. The host Harris was very welcoming despite us arriving late. He provided us with pretty much everything we could have asked for including tubes for river tubing, fishing rods, etc. Really nice property & area with tons of great outdoor space & activities.
Took a weekend trip with some friends and had a great time grilling, swimming, and just hanging out. The fire pit and pool table were great and Harris was a fantastic host. There is also a very nice waterfall near by. Great trip! definitely going back.
Since we are on the water, lets talk water first. The Delaware river offers canoe ,rafting, and kayak adventures. We also enjoy tubing and swimming in the crystal clear water,by our house, and trout and bass fishing as well.Bushkill falls is close by for a days outing.
For you land lovers there is biking, horseback riding, shopping outlets and more!!!
