The major attraction of this four level home is its location with beautiful views of Howe Sound, the Georgia Straits, Keats Island and the Coastal Mountains north of Vancouver with exceptional hiking nearby. The most unique quality is its peacefulness and the friendly and inviting atmosphere of the town and Sunshine Coast.

The master bedroom suite, on the upper level is large and airy with a king size bed and comfortable seating area and bathroom with whirlpool tub and walk-in shower. There is also an office upstairs with two single beds. The entry level consists of an powder room, 'open plan' kitchen, dining area, and living room with a wood burning fireplace and access to a deck perfect for watching the marine traffic and boating activities. The third level has a sitting room with a queen size Murphy bed, a bathroom with shower, a laundry room and access to a small patio. The lowest level is a large open room with two twin beds, a sofa and wood burning stove. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, soaking tub and amazing views of the Sound.

About The Owner

We are retired professionals from Arizona.

The Owner purchased this house in 1999

Why The Owner chose Sunshine Coast

We fell in love with the beauty and peacefulness of this small unique community as well as the incredible summer weather as compared to Arizona. It is unique in that it can only be reached by drive-on ferry from Horseshoe Bay just north of Vancouver. The one-way trip is 40 minutes. Because of that it is a very quiet vacation retreat, but there are summer farmers' markets, arts and craft markets and community activities. A small hospital is 20km away in Sechelt with air lift capabilities to Vancouver.

What makes this house unique

We are less than 1km from Lower Gibsons. Major shopping areas are in Upper Gibsons or Sechelt which requires driving. Our favorite ritual is watching the boating traffic on Howe Sound and looking for the elusive bald eagles as they fly by while we are sitting on the deck sipping our wine.

Amazing Getaway

I stayed here for 3 nights in February with my boyfriend and 2 other couples and we had an incredible time. This is the kind of place where you really don't have to leave the house or property to enjoy your vacation. The house is absolutely beautiful with lots of room and space for everyone. It has a very open feel to it and so many amazing big windows that look out onto the ocean, providing spectacular views from every room. We spent a lot of time looking down at seals swimming directly below. The kitchen is big with every kind of pan or appliance that we needed to cook our meals. There are several outdoor areas and patio spaces (again with those amazing views) that provided amazing places to sit and relax with a cup of coffee. The property is quite large so it also felt quite private which was nice. Both the owner and the manager were wonderful to communicate with and were quick to answer our inquiries and make us feel comfortable in the home. We all want to return for another get away (hopefully sooner rather than later) and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking in the Gibsons area for a vacation rental.

Amazing place for NYE!

I booked the house for a NYE getaway with 7 friends. This house was absolutely perfect for us. The view is beautiful and there is plenty of space for everyone. We especially enjoyed the large kitchen and dining area which made meals a very easy and pleasant experience. The fireplace was also lovely to have since it was quite cold out. It was only a short drive into Gibson's Landing when we needed a few supplies but otherwise we were all more than happy to spend the weekend in the house. I would definitely recommend renting from Ellen, who was very helpful and responsive when I had questions. We are already considering a return trip!

Amazing!

For sure, the pictures on line do not do this home justice! Such a beautiful house with incredible views! It rained everyday but it didn't matter, the beauty showed through. Watching the seals was an added bonus! The manager and owner are great to work with and very accommodating! We can't wait to come back and enjoy this lovely home again!

Extended family get together

We recently stayed in this beautiful home. It met all of our expectations and then some. The property owner and particularly the manager were lovely to work with. Would highly recommend it and hope to be back. Hard to capture in words that beautiful view.

Absolutely amazing !!!

The pictures online do not even begin to represent how beautiful this house and surrounding scenery are. Came here to celebrate our recent engagement with our families and were blown away by the comfort this home provided for 6 adults and the breathtaking views. Would recommend this house for anyone looking to get away and enjoy the beauty this portion of BC has to offer.
