3 bedroom and 2 bathroom cabin in the quiets White Mountain/Baker River area
About Bruce Blye
I graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in Forestry and Forest Recreation and strengths in horticulture. I currently own a Landscape and Nursery business. I have enjoyed the outdoors all my life and enjoy showing others how to enjoy the outdoors themselves as well. I am very active in the snowmobile community as well as the general community. I have always had a great love and respect for the great outdoors that has been passed down through my family as I continue to pass it down to my family and friends. I hope that this rubs off on everyone I come in contact with. I am an avid snowmobiler and outdoorsman and very involved in the sport as a rider and as an officer in my local snowmobile club. I enjoy life with my Wife of 35 years and my 3 children and now 4 grandchildren. We have always enjoyed camping and camp life with it's simple pleasures. We live in Epsom, NH where I have a Landscape Business and is just a bit over an hour from the cabin. We have a camp in Groton which is the next town over where I spend much of the winter. We also use this rental property for our own use a good part of the time...so I am welcoming you to our home. I also offer snowmobile tours if you stay with us in the winter!
Bruce Blye purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Bruce Blye chose Dorchester
This area of Central NH...the Baker River Area...has been a favorite area of mine for some time. I have enjoyed this area for much of my life and it has so much to offer with beautiful scenery, wildlife, lots of elevation changes providing its own weather, many outdoor activities and the solitude and quietness of the backwoods yet still close to everything else. There is lots to do in the summer with great swimming holes in the area, fishing, mountain biking and hiking, tubing down the Baker River, kayaking...you name it. Also ATV trails up the street in Warren and Haverhill. There is a stream behind the house with fish and lots of fishing spots in the area. Great snowmobiling with direct access to trails down the street from the Baker River clubhouse. Since we sit up in the elevation get snow early and it stays late in the season. We sit in the southern/central NH SNOWBELT.
What makes this Cabin unique
The wilderness is right out the front and side door. The only cabin rental in Dorchester with snowmobiling access just down the street out of the Baker River clubhouse. There is direct trail access 400 yards down the road for X-country Skiing and snowshoe/hiking. We are located in the elevation of 1620feet...you know it because your ears will pop coming up the road to the cabin! Tenny Mountain is now open for Down Hill Skiing and tubing just 15 minutes away. Other ski areas in the area close buy also! Great place for motorcycle riding with lots of back roads to explore. The town of Warren, NH just up the road is open to ATV's...with nice scenic trails in the woods, great swimming holes to ride to, fuel and great food and you can also enjoy a nice picnic on the old carriage road on the edge of the White Mountains. You can also ride the rail trail out of Haverhill, NH ...nice easy riding for the entire family. Say high to the moose in the area... this is there home habitat. The Legion has sprint car races every Sat and Sun night right down the road on rt25 which you will pass on your way in. Bring your , inner tube, kayak, boat, canoe for water sport in the local rivers, pond, and lake...also don't forget your fishing pole. Sculptured rocks in Groton/Hebron is a great swimming hole with underwater holes to swim through and ledges to jump off of. The Flying Monkey in Plymouth has great concerts and shows. Too much to do...and never enough time to do it. BUT be sure to take time to relax and enjoy life's simple pleasures...ENJOY CAMP LIFE.

Nice quiet place
Its could be little cleaner but is really not so bad and for the price is really good. It really quite place nice getaway from the city.
We got there at 3pm but started cleaning immediately the house looked like it was abandoned
Sorry you felt that way. I clean the cabin after every visitor and my family also uses the cabin throughout the year. It is an older cabin as one can see in the pictures. I do thank you for your feedback.
Enjoyed our stay!
Cabin was clean and warm. Slept 7 of us with no problem. Communication with owner was very good. He provided all needed information ahead of time.
Nice Quiet House
Nice house with plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
Had a great stay and enjoyed snowmobiling in this new area
Lots of room in driveway .. had 3 trucks and 3 snowmobile trailers
good heat plus gas wood burning stove
no trail access except for long ride down 3 mile class 6 road to the snowmobile club parking lot
Lovely cabin away from it all
Bruce's cabin is quiet and comfortable and quite an escape. Even going up to the White Mountains on the busiest leaf-peeping day of the year we were able to enjoy peace and quiet and lots of natural beauty.
The cabin is comfortable enough to sleep a whole family while also warm and comfy. There's a kitchen stocked with materials for cooking if that's your thing and also some tables and games. Notably, there's not internet or much in the way of cell service—you're really going to be disconnected and able to relax.
Sitting southwest of the 93 pass through the White Mountains you have to drive a little bit to get to restaurants and popular areas. On the other hand, it'll encourage you to take drives down the less traveled White Mountain roads and discover new trails.
Really strongly recommended for a quiet, peaceful trip to the mountains.
It was a great experience. The place was really good. Well maintained. Would love to come here again.
Snowmobiling in the winter months in an area that gets snow early and it stays late because of the climate and elevation of the area. You can access the entire state's snowmobile trail system from here with great destinations to check out. We do a lot of trail side cooking ourselves.
Lots of pristine lakes and streams to fish and swim in. Kayaking is a blast around here, pick blueberries from your kayak, fish, explore...
Check out the ice castle in Lincoln in the winter...
Sculptured rocks is a swimming hole that was carved out of the rocks by running water. Great place to jump off the ledges, swim through holes, and have lunch. You can also snowmobile to it in the winter!
