VILLA COIRE FEE is a spacious country property providing the perfect setting for a calm and relaxing holiday for families and friends. Accessed by a sloping, traditionally cobbled driveway, this magnificent villa enjoys a peaceful and elevated position towards the head of a picturesque valley and is surrounded by typically Portuguese countryside. All living areas are light and airy. Patio doors in the main lounge and dining area and the ground floor bedrooms enable guests to access the poolside directly. In addition, the BBQ and several terraced areas offer a choice of places to relax or socialise with friends. The 8 x 4 m pool is suitable for adults and children. The large roof terrace adds to the fabulous sense of space and privacy. Guests may use it for dining al fresco, sunbathing or star gazing at the end of a long, sunny day. Only a short walk away from the village of St Estevao and a 10 minute drive from Tavira and the coastal beaches, this superb villa boasts a quiet location while still being close to local amenities.


There are two main entrances. Having arrived at the front of the house, guests can walk along the ‘L’ shaped gravel path that surrounds the pool and use the side door that leads off the split level terrace near the pool area. Alternatively, guests can use the front door by climbing the steps that lead directly from the parking area. Both doors lead into the ground floor hallway.

The spacious and well-equipped accommodation boasts high ceilings and tasteful décor throughout. An entrance hall archway leads through to a large, dual aspect 8 x 6m lounge with dining area. The feeling of luxury is boosted by the stunning pine vaulted ceiling, along with the feature fireplace, digital satellite TV, DVD and music centre. Patio doors in the living room provide convenient access to the poolside and nearby terraces as well as the semi-circular outdoor patio and BBQ area. There is also a guest cloak room and a large, superbly well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and adjacent utility room.

The four large bedrooms all have fitted wardrobes and are sited on the ground and first floors. The first floor double and twin bedrooms each have modern en-suite shower rooms. In addition, the twin room boasts its own private balcony with picturesque views to the south and east. Guests using the ground floor double and twin bedrooms share a family bathroom and have a choice of bath or shower. Patio doors enable these bedrooms to open directly onto the poolside and terraces, where there is another poolside shower room with WC.

Guests also enjoy full use of the large, paved roof terrace. This peaceful spot offers splendid views of the surrounding countryside and distant coastline. It can be used for outdoor dining, sunbathing or romantic star gazing when the sun sets – just as the mood takes you!


This spectacular house is set towards the end of the valley approach road and is situated at the top of a large, sloping plot. Exceptionally peaceful and surrounded by rolling hillsides, this picturesque area is planted with native Portuguese shrubs and many mature olive and carob trees. The villa is clearly signed and the sweeping driveway provides initial breath-taking views of this prestigious villa. There is plenty of parking space immediately in front of the house. A lovely feature of this property is the number of terraces and patios. As well as the pool area, which is equipped with sunbeds, parasols and cushions, the peaceful and idyllic roof terrace is perfect for sun worshippers. It offers panoramic views to the coast, as well as of the valley below and surrounding fields, adding greatly to the feeling of space and tranquility. The grounds and pool are bathed in sunshine during the day and the tiled pool surround provides plenty of space for relaxation and socialising. The circular patio and split level terraces are accessed from the living and dining areas and a traditional brick built BBQ enables guests to dine or entertain al fresco should they wish. At the rear of the house, a peaceful patio area catches the sun and offers privacy for those who are seeking solitude! Car: Recommended.

'POCO DAS BRUXAS' where the villa is situated is a small rural hamlet surrounding by orange groves and olive trees. The local village of St Estevao can be reached in 15 minutes on foot and has a small range of facilities including a coffee shop, great traditional Portuguese restaurant (must be tried!) , 2 mini-markets, a pharmacy and post office.


When staying in this accommodation a visit to beautiful town of Tavira is essential! Once known as the capital of the Algarve, Tavira stands proud amongst Portuguese history books and you will not fail to be enthralled by its unspoilt charm, character and tranquility. As you wander along the cobbled streets, you'll see an abundance of history and wonderful architecture. A Roman bridge links the 2 parts of the town across the River Gilao, its sides decorated with traditional old bars and restaurants - perfect for lazy lunches or a glass or 2! To enjoy and see the full Tavira aspect, you can take the passenger train which follows a set route around the town, or you can personalize your experience by taking a ‘TUK TUK’ tour in the small vehicles for 2 – 6 persons

LOCAL BEACH AND OTHER THINGS TO DO: There is an abundance of excellent clean beaches close to the villa. We have 2 recommendations: BARILL BEACH is reached by taking the main EN125 road for around 4 km. The seashore itself is reached by small train which delights children and once there, visitors are rewarded with clean and expansive white sands as well as a full range of amenities including beach restaurants, shops and sunbeds and shades for hire. THE BEACH ISLAND OF TAVIRA is a natural island separated from the mainland by the River Formosa and is reached by catching a ferry from the town harbour near the fishing boats. An excellent range of facilities is offered including beach bars, fish restaurants, Portuguese cuisine, pizza restaurant to name but a few. Also for hire are sunbeds and shades and together, these ingredients give a wonderful tropical holiday atmosphere amongst white sandy beaches and the rolling Atlantic Ocean akin to the Caribbean!

By travelling a little further afield there are a good range of things to do for everyone. For nature lovers, forest walks, cruises along the River Guadiana or nature trails along the Ria Formosa Reserve where bird watching is in abundance. Travelling West there are some excellent shopping centres in Faro and Ghia as well as the famous Water Parks and Zoo Marine all easily reached by car or by day trip coach. The Spanish border town of Ayamonte is approx 25 km by car, where the delights of another country can be sampled along with wine, Tapas and shopping. Ayamonte can also be reached by ferry from Vila Real. Seville is about 170 km away and budding historians may enjoy Castro Marim castle.

The main living areas are reached by several steps which are not steep but may be difficult for those who have mobility restrictions. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and 1 bathroom all of which are easily accessible once inside the house.

Fantastic holiday retreat

We have just returned from this lovely villa after a week of fun, great weather and quality family time together. A group of 7 adults and 2 small babies this villa had everything to accommodate us all perfectly. The spacious living areas and great sized bedrooms allowed us all to have enough space and privacy but catered for great family eating and days by the pool. The location was superb being away from the tourist areas a real feel of Portuguese life with lovely neighbours but the convenience of all shops and large supermarkets just a ten minute drive away. We went to Tavira Island which was well worth the trip and to experience the little ferry boat was great fun but other than that we didn't venture too far as the villa had everything we needed. Great evening dining with the garden lit up with little fairy lights and magnificent views. Couldn't have asked for a better place for us to create great memories. We would definitely like to return.

A beautiful villa with superb accommodation

This is our second visit to this villa this time with our family of five adults and two young children. Last time we went with four friends. On both occasions we have been blessed with glorious weather and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves every day!

The property is truly superb with a huge lounge, four large bedrooms, pool and sun-deck. A very nice barbecue and patio where we dined most evenings.

You can get to number of beaches quite easily and the villa has lots of hints and recommendations from previous tenants and the owners as to where to eat, drink, shop and enjoy yourself.

Trevira is the closest place of any size and well worth a visit where to wander through 'old town', or, shop at one of the four supermarkets, or buy fresh fish and vegetables at the towns own enclosed market. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and tavernas for you to choose from.

All the people at Smartvillas provided that nice local management support and our only necessary recommendation is to hire a car(s) at the airport.

Overall I recommend this villa as five stars plus!

Great holiday

Four adults and four children had fantastic holiday at the lovely villa. Rachel from Smartavillas was really helpful and gave lots of information about the house and locality.

Great villa, great location, great holiday!

This villa offers the best of both worlds. All the peace and quiet you could ever want but only a short drive from Tavira and a choice of beaches. The village is a 15 minute stroll away and we bought fresh bread every morning from the local shops. We particularly enjoyed the pool and evening BBQs on the patio.

Would we recommend it? Definitely!

This property has the 'wow' factor in abundance.

We had an amazing two week stay in this stunning villa combined with the glorious sunshine we couldn't have wished for anything better.

It is a very clean, spacious property with no corners cut - it has everything you could possibly wish for to make your holiday stay relaxing. To help you relax the pool makes this easy it is so clean and this is thanks to the pool guy, Gary.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa to anyone looking to book it for their holiday you wont be disappointed.

There are many places and beaches for you to visit and explore - so book the villa and go find them you wont regret it.

One last thing, we would like to thank Rachel for all her help making this a holiday to remember and for all the right reasons!

Stunning villa tucked away on the Algarve

We had a fantastic time staying at this very well equipped villa: masses of space, a beautiful pool area and a roof terrace to boot. The living area is particularly spectacular!

The villa is a short drive away from various beaches including Santa Luiza and Cabanas (brilliant fish restaurants!), which are part of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, and located very close to the pretty town of Tavira. We also headed further afield along the coast to Carvoeiro and Cape St. Vincent, and spent a cultured day seeing Silves Castle.

The customer service was excellent. We received clear instructions from the airport as well as help sorting out a hire care; we were then met by a friendly guide who helped us navigate the final roads into Santo Estevao.
