As a ground floor unit the lanai fronts on a perfectly manicured green belt, and looks out on the ocean to Molikini Crater and magnificent tropical sunsets. Enjoy the lanai's gas barbecue for private dinners with a sunset view, or take the short stroll to the large pool and pavilion to enjoy a social hour with friends or that evening walk on the beach.
23C is newly remodeled with Cherry cabinetry from DeWils, Corian countertops and sink, new tile floors, and appliances, updated Hawaii style furnishings, king bed in the master bedroom, and 2 full baths. Plantation louvered shutters and cieling fans regulate airflow naturally and the ground floor location insulates the interior from tropical sun. This unit does not have A/C.
Our location makes access to that morning swim in the ocean or walk on the beach an absolute pleasure. Visit snorkel sites to the south, peruse the hotel scene via the scenic coastal walk, shop at local area boutiques, enjoy upscale restaurants, play golf, tennis, or sunbathe on the beach. Everything is within easy reach at Wailea. Here is where one can come and truly relax in paradise.

Steve Dupuis is the current owner and son of the original purchasers of 23C, Harlan and Adele Dupuis. Harlan and Adele bought at Wailea on the recommendation of their best friends and neighbors in Orinda, CA. in November of 1976. Over the course of many years the Dupuis family developed a close network of friends and acquaintances who vacationed at Wailea and formed a corp of renters who returned to 23C year after year. Today, many of those same families and their friends still return to take advantage of this fabulous location. Steve and his wife Shelley continue to carry on the tradition of cultivating long term relations with the people who love to come back again and again to Wailea.

Harlan Dupuis grew up in Santa Barbara, CA and was a sea scout and beach life guard as a young man. When WWII came along he was an officer in the U.S. Navy and served aboard the U.S.S. Crescent City in the South Pacific. Selecting Wailea Ekahi was a perfectly natural choice for he and his wife given his years of living on and around the Pacific Ocean. As the parents passed that legacy on to their children, Steve and Shelley look forward to many years of enjoyment at Wailea.
As 23C is so close to both the large pool and the beach, morning and evening walks by the water are a daily regimen for us. It is not uncommon to grab snorkelling gear and walk south along the hotel pathway until just the right site comes along then in you go. Historically, Fourth of July puts one within walking distance of the most magnificent fireworks display right at the beach. Even a fancy restaurant at one of the local hotels is within walking distance. The peace and serenity at Wailea makes one hardly want to leave.
We spent 10 relaxing days in 23C, and enjoyed its close proximity to the beach. It was stocked with everything we needed for our daily "beach time", including towels, chairs, umbrella, insulated cooler and ice packs. It took only minutes to walk down to the pool area with gate access to the beach -- no need to load everything in the car and drive down. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, and we spent quite a bit of time on the lanai, enjoying the view and the beautiful surroundings. We dined on the Lanai for all breakfasts and almost half of our lunches and dinners, taking in the beauty of the ocean. There were a couple of housekeeping requests that we made, and have every confidence that the owner will have them taken care of in short order, as the owner was very responsive and helpful. (His responses promoted this unit to a 5-star.)
We absolutely loved our 11-day stay here! Thank you so much to the Dupuis family for sharing their home! This unit had everything we needed to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The grounds are so well kept and lovely and we were able to eat on the lanai every morning and enjoy the view of the ocean and sounds of the birds, and it took literally less than two minutes to walk down the path to the main pool or gate to the beach. (Unfortunately, we were not aware that the main pool would be closed for maintenance for 7 days until we arrived, but we did get to enjoy it the first few days of our stay.) We also had a small pool within walking distance from the unit and did take advantage of it most afternoons; it was just a little disappointing since it did not have the spectacular view like the main pool. The beach was so beautiful and we so enjoyed our morning walks and the sunsets every night! It was especially nice that beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and a cooler were provided for our use throughout our stay, so we never had to pay extra to rent any of those items. Every restaurant we tried served delicious food and several worth mentioning are Kihei Caffe, Fat Daddy's, Seascape Ma'alaea Restaurant, Bubba Gump's, and Lahaina Pizza Company. When we return someday to Maui, we hope to stay here again and will definitely recommend it to friends and family!
We had a wonderful stay and felt so relaxed and safe here. The condo was perfect for our silver wedding anniversary trip. Ekahi Village is truly first class. The grounds keepers do keep the place beautiful. The pavilion and pool area are very nice and well kept.This location was excellent for nearby access to snorkeling - we saw spotted eagle rays at the snorkeling spots near Po'olenalena Beach and just north of the beach. Sea turtles were seen on every excursion. Golf, casual restaurants in Kihei, great music at Mulligan's are all a very short drive from Ekahi. Relaxing and having meals on the lanai with a beautiful view were a highlight. We sure hope to return and thank Steve and his wife for sharing their beautiful place.
Ekahi Village is a gorgeous condo complex. Grounds are well maintained by friendly staff. The condo is ideally located just a short walk to the beach and pool facilities. View from the lanai is very pretty. The unit has everything needed to enjoy your vacation. Location was great for snorkeling nearby. Also for food and shopping. Sunsets by the pool were great. Unit was clean and ready when we arrived.
The condo is clean and very comfortable; you will found everything you need for relaxing vacation. Perfect location. Nice patio with an ocean view. Love it!!!! The owner is very helpful. We don’t have even a small thing to complain? We definitely will recommend this to friends and family.
In the three times I've been to Maui, this condo has been, by far, the best!! The location is PERFECT! It is a short (very short!) walk to the pool, with the beach being just a few steps beyond. And the beach is also perfect! It is in the most wonderful location for walking down into Wailea on the beach walk. And the condo itself is quaint, spacious enough, and since it is on the lower level, it stays cool enough. We did not even need A/C. All in all, I recommend this place to anyone I hear is planning to visit Maui. I cannot wait to return this summer!
