About The Owner

Loretta and Mark have recently moved back to St. Louis after 30 years away and are enjoying life in the De Mun neighborhood. Their favorite things to do here are walking the neighborhoods and Forest Park as well as bike riding around town. They continued their passion for bringing properties back to life with the remodel of this wonderful home.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2011

Why The Owner chose St. Louis

The DeMun area is a diverse historic neighborhood with an upbeat vibe due to its' proximity to the universities. There is never a shortage of things to do nearby and the central location makes it a breeze to get anywhere in St. Louis.

What makes this apartment unique

Walking to Kaldi's for coffee in the morning and watching the neighborhood wake up.

Walking to the Oyster Bar, Jimmy's, Katie's or Sasha's for a relaxing dinner at the end of the day.

Walking through the campuses of the local universities.

Walking through beautiful Forest Park and popping in and out of the museums at will as they are free and open to the public.

Charming apartment in a perfect, central location.

  • 5 of 5

We were so comfortable here! The flat is immaculate, updated and spacious. The beds are wonderful and have top quality sheets and comforters. The kitchen is fully equipped and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the lovely patio and quiet neighborhood. The location is fantastic and is within walking distance to grocery, restaurants and more. Forest Park (zoo, art museum, etc.) is very close by. Mark and Loretta were so accommodating and nice to work with. We were so happy with this beautiful apartment and highly recommend it!

Amazingly Restful Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Mark and Loretta's property was just perfect- even better than the pictures! My husband and I enjoyed a getaway to St. Louis for four nights by ourselves before my in-laws and son joined us for two additional nights. The location was fabulous- beautiful, quiet, safe street and the apartment was just steps away from some wonderful restaurants, a grocery store and a lovely nail salon. Everything was clean, neat and beautifully appointed. We got to meet both Mark and Loretta and they are simply lovely. We really enjoyed the patio space, too. If we find ourselves in St. Louis again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

Perfect home for grad weekend!

  • 5 of 5

My son-in-law was graduating from med-school at Saint Louis University the weekend of May 13th. My wife, mother-in-law, adult son and I made the trip from Arizona to be a part of this special weekend. The house could not have been more perfect for the four nights we were there. My wife and I shared a room while my mother-in-law had her own room and my son slept in the closed in sun-room at the front of the house complete with an air mattress.

The neighborhood is beautiful and I was able to take walks to nearby Forest Park (beautiful park with trails, lake, zoo and museum). The house was a short drive from the airport and to everything including downtown (the Arch) and other popular tourist spots such as the Anheuser Busch Brewery and Blues Museum to name a few.

This was a great house for entertaining. We were able to have friends and family over to the house to play cards and other board games in the evening. One night, we along with my son-in-law's family, had a bbq on the back patio. It is a great patio with two tables and plenty of chairs. There was a fire ring available along with some wood and a gas heater for those cooler nights.

Kitchen was very nice and well equipped with everything we needed to prepare some meals at the house. Bathroom was very nice and modern as well. Overall the house was very clean and well maintained and well equipped with towels, etc.

Everything was on one floor which was good for my mother-in-law who would have trouble going up and down stairs.

Lastly, I can't say enough about Mark & Loretta (owners) being very accommodating to make it a great stay. Although we never had a chance to meet, they were great to work with throughout the entire process from start to end!

We would certainly stay there again and highly recommend to anyone else!

Happy travels,

Chad

Immaculate, convenient, and perfect place

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Mark and Loretta's flat in the DeMun area of Clayton for 6 days while visiting my 95-year-old great grandmother. Coming from San Francisco we weren't expecting a lot out of St. Louis -- although I had been there a lot as a child, it had been a while. The area is beautiful and we were surprised at the number of fun things to do and good food. The apartment was fantastic. We were traveling with a 2 year old and a 5 month old. We put the baby in the sun room and the 2 year old in his own room. It worked out perfectly. The unit had a great remodeled kitchen and bathroom and everything about it was immaculate. We had dinner out in the backyard one evening and my aunts, cousins and parents came to visit. We had 8 adults and 3 kids and it was great. Mark and Loretta were there and we learned they are from the SF Bay Area - which explained a lot in my mind!!

We'd definitely book this place again when we come back. It was great for families and they had EVERYTHING you need for babies and toddlers, from a booster seat to toys, to baby bath soap, to two pack-and-plays and even a stroller! wow!

Such a sweet space. It's in a lovely neighborhood. The house was very clean and well taken care of.

We loved it! Spent a spring break with our 3 young girls in St.Louis and this place was perfect. Plenty of space, very clean and just adorable. We'd have a full day and come back and play games or snuggle up and watch a movie. They had everything we needed. The neighborhood is so sweet to take walks or go to the park. It is also such a quick and easy drive to the museums, zoo, downtown, Forest Park, etc. I would definitely recommend this property. Can't think of one negative or complaint.

Fabulous spot to explore STL from

  • 5 of 5

Can't express how wonderful this property is. It's pristine, very tastefully decorated, brand new kitchen, heavenly beds, awesome neighborhood, and helpful hosts. Loretta even stopped by to drop off some complementary supplies for a party! Look no further; this is the place to stay in STL.
