I have been working in a bank for many years. I'm very fond of Music, football and cooking. Deeply in love with my home town I have chosen to live 20 years ago in this wonderful borough, Borgo Pio, which is really authentic and lively and where you can find anything you need enjoying the atmosphere of real Roma.
Massimo purchased this apartment in 2011
Everyone was accommodating. (No coffee maker, no bath soap, sparse towels!) Comfy beds and good location. Thanks
I stayed in this apartment with my wife, mother-in-law, and 3-year-old daughter for a month. I've been to Rome half a dozen times or more and stayed in several types of accommodations in several different neighborhoods. This apartment is the only place that felt like home, and its neighborhood, Borgo, is my favorite so far in which to stay.
The apartment was spacious, clean, and offered a lot of natural light. Three adults and a child stayed here very comfortably over the course of several weeks. All the rooms are a good size and offer not only comfortable places to sleep, but also comfortable spaces in which to relax, read, watch one's tablet, etc., during the day. The living room was also very nice, and large enough for multiple members of the family to rest, watch tv, read, etc., during the day. Finally, the kitchen was plenty big and allowed for a comfortable cooking and dining atmosphere.
The apartment is well-located. It's in a quiet, calm neighborhood in which one can work in peace (I was there researching and writing). You're close to the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo, as well as buses, tram, and metro line to get you any where in the city. For folks with children, there is a lovely little play ground in the park right behind Castel Sant'Angelo. Then, you can also get to Villa Borghese where there are at least two play grounds by bus or by tram from Piazza del Risorgimento. Finally, the COOP grocery store is a five-minute walk away, and is a great resource. The staff was nice, the store well-stocked, and the quality of the food very good. There are also numerous quality restaurants within a five-minute walk, but with the food at the grocery store being so good, and the kitchen so large and well-equipped, we found ourselves eating in most meals.
Aside from the area and place itself, Francesca and Silvia were kind, professional, and caring hosts. They helped provided ample orientation to the area; generously helped arrange for private taxi services (think ahead and book through them... it's more convenient and economical than regular taxis!); and were always there when we needed them via phone or email (quick responses, too!).
The end result was, as the title reveals, a place that truly felt like home in Rome. I am fortunate enough to be in a line of work that will certainly bring me back to the Eternal City. And, in my mind's eye, I see my family and me staying here again, hopefully for an even longer period of time. Grazie!
We stayed a month here and were sad to leave. We walked almost everywhere from here but public transportation was very assessable when we wanted it. Rome is such a busy city and it was great to have a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of Rome. The apartment is well equipped for cooking which was important for a long stay. Air-conditioning, wifi, TV and washer were all appreciated. We can't say enough about the helpful assistance from Francesca, the manager. Not only was she very available at all times with advise and help but she is a warm and gracious person. Don't hesitate to book this apartment.
This apartment is a 3-5 minute walk to the Vatican and does not feel like it is in a tourist area at all. It is 3 bedroom apartment, fully air conditioned in a quiet neighborhood. It is on the 3rd floor and the building does not have an elevator. We enjoyed our short stay here immensely. Francesca was wonderful to work with.
I have never had a more attentive host than Francesca! All of her communications before and during our stay were to make sure we had a wonderful time in this apartment. We are a family of 5 and found the apartment to have more than enough room for all of us. Having 2 bathrooms was especially nice as well as the washing machine to catch up on laundry during our extended trip.
The location was great for us. We like to walk and were able to get everywhere we wanted to quite easily. There is a metro stop within a 10 minute walk for the longer trips down to the Colloseum area if you prefer. The neighborhood was quiet at night and had many restaurants nearby. All in all, we loved Rome and this apartment!
We stayed in this apartment on the first leg of our first trip to Italy. We also were first time VBRO users, so we were not quite sure what to expect. We could not have been more pleased with our stay. It was a great set up for our family of 5. Plenty of room to spread out, comfortable sleeping arrangements for everyone. Very convenient to reach the main sites - even on foot. The neighborhood is charming, and we felt safe to walk the streets after dark.
We also were pleased to discover how helpful Francesca was. She helped arrange our transportation to and from the airport and train station, and was available for all of our needs. I would definitely recommend this rental for a great Rome experience.
