Overview

About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

This lovely and unique home is located on pristine White Pond in the heart of South County’s Matunuck Hills. It is truly a magical place enjoyed by four generations of our family. The location is very private and quiet, yet close to all South County has to offer.

The home has two decks to enjoy the spectacular views. There is also a private sandy beach with sloped access to the water, which is perfect for young children. The house has three levels. The great room, master bedroom, master bath, kitchen, laundry, sunroom and second bathroom are on the ground level. There is a large bedroom upstairs. The lower level has a family room, three bedrooms and another full bath. There are two working fireplaces.

The house is able to accommodate 10 people, making it a great place for a family reunion or multiple families vacationing together.

About Linda Tucker

We are two sisters who live nearby.

Linda Tucker purchased this house in 1961

Why Linda Tucker chose Rhode Island Coastal

This property was the home of our parents for 50 years and was too dear to us to sell when they passed away in 2010. It has been the location of family weddings and many happy celebrations, including our parents’ 65th wedding anniversary. We have recently renovated the property and it is now available for our extended family to use. We are renting it for a short time in order to help pay the cost of continuing to own it.

What makes this house unique

The house is unique and special, designed by our father. As nice as the house is, it might be outdone by the location. It is located in a woods dense with native rhododenron and the lake is private and pristine.

very nice

  • 4 of 5

beautiful, secluded, wooded location on charming lake; spacious home with more nooks and crannies you can imagine: you would love to be a kid again and play hide and seek; gracious hostess; easy accessibility to Wakefield, a thriving town a few miles away with great grocery stores; only downside was small kitchen with limited counter space and broiler seeming nonfunctional; fortunately outside grill works fine if no downpours; accommodated 3 families with 7 adults and 3 children quite well.

Wonderful light, airy home on clear fresh water pond.

  • 5 of 5

My family of 10 enjoyed our week immensely. The sandy beach and refreshing pond complete with a float for jumping was perfect spot to enjoy summer sun. Fishing was fun. Use of the canoe, kayak, and rowboat added enjoyment outside the sheltered cove. So many windows in the house, you could enjoy the water and wooded views from many rooms. The A.C. units were appreciated during the sultry nights. Best VRBO yet for our family group.

Great time

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. They had everything anyone would need. Being with our family to celebrate our 50th anniversary it could not have been any better. Our grandchildren want us to go back again. That just about says it all. It is a beautiful place, and a great place to relax. Just loved it. Thank you Linda John and Mary Ann Pozzi

FANTASTIC

  • 5 of 5

We had my bachelorette weekend at this lovely house, and this was a weekend from heaven. The house was so beautiful and fun, really private and a terrific getaway. We appreciated the owners' taste and they truly added nice touches such as flowers, and the master bedroom was gorgeous full of windows and a panoramic view of the water. We will definitely stay here again.

Lovely home in lovely setting

  • 5 of 5

A lovely home in a lovely setting. Extremely spacious, with a great room, den, sun deck, two large outdoor decks, and beach. We were a party of eight; there was room for everyone to be together or apart as the fancy took us. The house is beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The beds are very comfortable, the showers great, and everything is fully stocked. We appreciated the fully accessible suite on the first floor. The setting is beautiful and tranquil, but we also enjoyed active swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. We hope to return soon!

Wonderful lake house!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I gathered here for a relaxing reunion. The house is unique and comfortable with great porches and lake views. The lake was clear and great for the kids. We went boating and kayaking and relaxed on the beach. A great getaway that feels more secluded and rural than it actually is. Close to the ocean and great places to hike. No complaints!!
