Healdsburg Studio Rental Photos and Description

Studio, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

In the heart of the wine country, a golden room with private bath and a hot tub just outside on the deck overlooking the vineyards of Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County, California. Separated from the main house, high up on a second floor over a quiet Feldenkrais studio, behind the garage, it has it's own entrance and much privacy....an aerie, your own private heaven. The eyes meet with dramatic views of the valley floor with Geyser Peak in the distance.

What a wonderful place to stay for local events! Find yourselves one mile from the Vineman bike route, three miles from Lake Sonoma, nine miles from Healdsburg, where you can rent a kayak for kayaking down the Russian River or rent a bike to go biking in the Dry Creek Valley, and also located within walking or biking distance of numerous wineries for an exquisite wine tasting experience.

Winter brings a more quiet time and our farm can become a secluded restorative hideaway for rest and relaxation. Reading, long walks in the fresh air, contemplation and clarification...all are possible..

You may hear occasional sounds of tractors, roosters, dogs & cats. You'll be on a small farm.

About Charlotte Chavez

We are a 70 year-old married couple who work at their own businesses. Stan manages small vineyards and Charlotte is a Feldenkrais Practitioner.

We have lived here for over 25 years and this is our most favorite spot in all the world!

Charlotte Chavez purchased this studio in 1986

Why Charlotte Chavez chose Sonoma County

Stan built this vacation rental over Charlotte's studio and connected to a garage so that we could have room for family and friends when they visit.

What makes this studio unique

Walks in the vineyards, kayaking out at the lake, bike riding, wine tasting, wonderful local restaurants and a great Farmer's Market! Plus lots of things to do in the nearby towns of Healdsburg, Geyserville, and Cloverdale!!

Guestbook comments from the owner

David and I had a great time and really enjoyed getting to know you and Stan. Sitting on the deck eating breakfast as the sun came up, looking out at the incredible view of the vineyards and mountains, and then being in the hot tub at night under the enormous blanket of stars are memories I'll always cherish. It was perfect!

We look forward to going back again.

Thank you for sharing your home (and pooches!) with us!

Quiet and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed this lovely room very much! We have stayed elsewhere in Sonoma Valley but no where else compares to sleeping and hot-tubbing in a vineyard. The muffin breakfasts were an unexpected treat too. This is truly a dream spot!!

Charm and tranquility

  • 5 of 5

I wonder if Charlotte and Stan carried a ladder around their property one day to carefully select what would be the view? Here? Or, here? And finally, this is it! Together they built their second story guest studio so that every day their guests would be greeted with an uncompromising view. The studio isn't pretentious as that would not be inviting. It is a warm and comfortable blend of old and new, collected and salvaged. Furnished with every need considered, yet minus the distraction of a TV. And to relax in the hot tub under a star filled sky was the end to every perfect day in Dry Creek.

I selected The Farm looking for a place to destress. We stayed a week and could have stayed indefinitely.

Cozy, sweet, and welcoming!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous stay at the farm! Stan greeted us when we pulled up and Charlotte was inside waiting for us. They welcomed us, helped us with our bags, and went over a few simple instructions. It felt like we have known Stan and Charoltte a long time even though it was our first meeting. We enjoyed being away on the farm. At night we sat outside admiring the the starlit sky and the beautiful morning view. I truly recommend the farm! Also, Stan and Charlotte, if you are ever in Las Vegas please look us up!

SUMMER VACATION 2016

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I loved our stay at the Farm on West Dry Creek Road. We visited my brother and his family down the road

and this was our bedroom during our stay. It was perfect for us and very comfortable. We didn't get a chance to use the

hot tub but it really looked inviting. I would only have one thing I'd change and that was the way to make coffee. A coffee maker

would be better than the pour over that was available...that was way too much for us to get right. We both love our coffee in the morning.

The muffins and croissants and the fresh fruit were exceptional. Right from the oven and the fruit so deliciously fresh. We will be back

and soon, I hope.

Owner's Response: We are very gratified that our guests were so pleased with our accommodations. We certainly regret that they had difficulty making coffee in a way they were not familiar with. We always encourage our guests to ask for what they need so that we can provide whatever that might be. We want our guests to be happy and as comfortable with our accommodations as possible.

Very nice room, location, and hosts

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at The Farm! The room was cozy and cool for a hot July weekend, and Stan helped us out with winery recommendations. Breakfast was much appreciated. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Fantastic, beautiful, and homey

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent our anniversary at The Farm, and we absolutely loved it! Charlotte and her husband were delightful hosts, charming and well-informed about the local area. The guest house itself is cozy and comfortable, with a gorgeous view of the adjacent vineyard, and delightfully isolated from any ambient noise. There's absolutely nothing like starting your day with Charlotte's fresh-baked croissants and fruit as the sun rises over the hills. We definitely plan to return!
