Everything you could wish for in a holiday villa. Beautiful location, elegant setting, proximity to all the amenties....and then there's the view.
David & Dominique provided everything I needed to give my family the relaxing, simple holiday we'd been dreaming of. So lovely & private (partially due to the fact that it was low season), we could just enjoy our surroundings without any disturbances.
There are a few restaurants around (though several were closed due to seasonality) which are all of a reasonable standard, though we mostly enjoyed stocking up at the supermarkets and creating our own Italian feasts each night.
Other than relaxing by the pool, we spent our time beach 'hunting', ferrying over to Bonifacio in Corsica, and deep sea fishing out of Isola Rossa. Needless to say, there's plenty to do in the area. But to be perfectly honest, we would have been just as happy lazing by the pool day in and day out....pure bliss.
The location of the villa is fabulous as the view out to sea is dramatic. We also got to enjoy amazing sunsets while sitting outside in the evenings. The villa is very well equipped and immaculately clean. We very much enjoyed our stay. Just one small improvement would be access to wifi, however we were able to use local bars' and restaurants' free wifi.
The villa was very comfortable and we loved BBQing watching the sun set in the evenings.
We spent a truly relaxing and excellent holiday in this villa. Brilliant communication with David and Dominique which allowed us to spend a very last minute week here. The villa was beautiful, simply but tastefully decorated and the views amazing. Directions given to reach the villa were extremely helpful and accurate. All we could wish for, apart from the fact that we were a little out of season, so a lot of shops, restaurants and attractions were closed. The pool was a delight for our children and there were some great places to visit in the area. The beaches were gorgeous and the scenery was marvellous. I could not recommend this villa enough and would love to return again
I went with two friends for a week in this lovely villa. The pictures are totally accurate, the villa is on a hill overlooking a marvelous coast line. The pool area and terrace are great and provide many options for being in the sun (and out, if you prefer!), and if you wanted a really restful holiday you might never leave the property!, but then you would be missing out. Our favorite beach within Costa Paradiso was the one you walk to from the slip way (don't be put off as the coast path adds to its magic, there is a lovely stretch of sand and then a marvelous bay for swimming and snorkeling., take plenty of water and a perhaps a sunshade and enjoy!. We also loved Castelsardo and Tempio as great examples of old Sardinia. David and Dominique could not have been more helpful, and we really enjoyed the wine, fruit and water on arrival. There is also a very well provisioned shop 5 minutes walk away from the villa which we used for our entire stay.
This was my family's first trip to Sardinia and what a time we had (family with 2 young girls). We visited at the end of March 2010. The villa is perfect, well equipped with everything you need. If I was to be ultra ultra picky, my only possible point to improve the place would be to replace the travel kettle with a proper larger one, and that really is the only point I can think of. The villa is beautifully decorated and the location is fantastic. The villa could easily accomodate 6 if required.
The owners were delightful and extremely helpful with great directions and information regarding things to do and places to go and even invited us out to give us a taste of the real Sardinia off the tourist trail. They also allowed us to stay completely out of season for which we are very grateful.
The area is gorgeous with beautiful beaches and landscapes, having had a look at Costa Smerelda during our time on the island I could see no reason to choose it over Costa Paradiso. The local beach is a couple of minutes drive and a 10 minute walk but it really is worth it, it has to be one of the best in an area which is blessed with gorgeous beaches. Unfortunately, as tempting as the sea and beaches looked, it was a little cold for my wife and I to take a dip but it didnt stop my 2 young girls who also had a swim in the well maintained and clean pool at the villa. The views of the sunset from the villa were also amazing.
We havent got a bad word to say about our time in the villa and the surrounding area and we will definitely go back to Sardinia again, hopefully in the warmer weather when we can all take a swim in the crystal clear water. We would have no reservations whatsoever about rebooking this villa and will difinately check on its availability when we do eventually return.
Situated on the North Coast between Castelsardo and Santa Theresa di Gallura, Costa Paradiso is known for the wildness of its land, and for the beauty of the crystalline sea bordered by sandy coves and beaches. All the houses have been designed to fit in with the natural landscape. It's a small tourist village situated at 25 min drive from Isola Rossa (sea front) and from Trinita D’agultu (mountain village), where there is a market every Monday. The local beach, Li Cossi, is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and can be accessed by a 10 minute walk along the headland. Also discover Costa Tinnari, La Marineda (convenient coved beach with all sport and bar facilities). Ideally located for both airports, Alghero (Ryanair) and Olbia (Easy Jet), the journey takes about 90 minutes by car, along panoramic coastal roads, to reach the marvellous Costa Paradiso and find oneself in a true paradise. The house is well situated as in a private zone, only 5 minutes walk from all shops.
