Why John and Rhonda Welty chose Marshall

Beautiful property! Super clean and tastefully decorated. Very homey feeling. Property Management was very helpful with suggestions on airports, area activities, surrounding shopping places, restaurants and provided clear instructions for anything pertaining to the property. It really lacked for nothing.
Thank you for your kind words. We are glad that you were pleased with Riversong’s amenities- and hope your time away was rejuvenating. The mountains and the riverside setting makes for a memorable stay. Thank you again!
Gorgeous house in the most perfect setting!
We loved the rushing river in front of our gorgeous home for the weekend. We are hoping to get back one day, it was a wonderful relaxing break in the mountains.
Wake up to the early morning mist quietly rolling over the ridge above this cabin
...and relax on the deck to the sound of the Big Laurel River rushing over the rocks and small falls. Had some success fishing the pools of this stream and some good workouts while hiking the trails up the hill from this outstanding cabin. Easy drive to the property and plenty of room inside to spread out. Living room has lots of comfy chairs and a couch. Upstairs family room has bunk (full sized) beds, Wii, couch and its own AC unit. The kitchen is stocked full of small appliances, cooking needs, dishes, spices, grilling utensils, baking dishes, mixing bowls, big fridge, gas stove, dish washer and even your choice of drip or Keurig coffee makers. The downstairs was awesome with table games, darts, laundry, sitting area, bar (and beer fridge), futon that opens to another bed, and access to the lower deck with porch swing and rocking chairs. The property was very clean. The owners have thought of everything here. Recommend spending a few nights out at the campfire or sitting on the upper deck watching shooting stars, identifying constellations, listening to the night sounds and enjoying a cold beer (or 3) after a day of rafting, ziplining, hiking the AT, fishing, biking, or just sitting at one of the two high-top tables relaxing the day away. (Be sure to print out the instructions to gain access to the gated community and for the key box, as there is limited cell service. There is Wi-Fi once you are in though) We will be back!
So glad you enjoyed RiverSong and all that the area has to offer. We love the outdoors....and can’t get enough of the amazing sound of the river while sitting at the fire pit or on one of the decks. The privacy of the gated community where RiverSong is located as well as the proximity to Asheville made this the perfect spot to build! We welcome your return!
Riversong was the perfect destination for us.
Fantastic rental property with all the amenities you could want. Rhonda was a great host- she provided numerous suggestions for things to do in the area that appealed to all family members. We had a great trip- perfect mix of relaxation, activities, and time spent enjoying family. My preteen and teen kids had fun riding their tubes in-front of the house, and my husband and I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed fires outside, grilling on the deck, and ping pong in the basement. We look forward to visiting again in the future!
It sounds like you made some great memories at RiverSong. The fire pit overlooking the river is one of our favorite spots. Glad your children got to tube on the river. and that you enjoyed your trip. We welcome your return and offer a returning guest discount.
Retreat in Nature
Beautiful location well maintained and stocked home along with caring and helpful owner. We had the best time exploring the Hot Springs area and just relaxing. Exceeds expectations all the way around.
The Big Laurel River is a delight to listen to from the decks of the house. And is fun and refreshing to tube and wade in, as well as fish in! Being one of three houses on the river in this gated community offers one seclusion and privacy -close to Hot Springs, Marshall, and a close drive to Asheville! So glad you enjoyed RiverSong.
We had a great time at the cabin, although it rained and made playing in the river not safe, the kids had fun exploring the property. The home was very nice and the kitchen had everything you needed and more. My only wish is that the upstairs room had a bath so someone could have slept up there.
I was watching the weather app when you were staying at Riversong... and hoping you had some sunshine!
Our home has 3 full baths and 3 bedrooms.... the 2nd floor bedroom does not have an en-suite bath and uses the guest bath on the first floor. The lower level of our home has a Queen futon, game room, bar, kitchenette a full bath and a lower level riverside deck.
We are working towards adding a fourth bath on the 2nd floor... the 2nd floor was designed as a “bonus room” for our grandchildren, as well as families with children.
We do hope that you enjoyed the hiking opportunities as well as the many places to visit nearby!
