I have traveled the islands of the caribbean extensively over a 30 year period. I looked at many of the islands for a property that I would enjoy. Of all the places I looked, Anguilla pleased me the most. The beaches are the best. They offer all types of water activities and sports. The restaurants are fantastic. If you enjoy evening entertainment there are dance and music venues.
The Owner purchased this villa in 2004
I felt the comforatable purchasing property in Anguilla. I love the Anguillian people. They treat you as you treat them. They are a warm, friendly people.
I love that my villa is so private, yet so close to everything on the island. Anguilla shores villa is comfortable and easy. I enjoy stepping out of my door and right into my pool. Floating around in the pool at night is the perfect place to star gaze as the stars seem especially bright and close in Anguilla.
Anguilla Shores is located mid-island. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with a lovely view of the water. The owners and the property manager, Dondra, have anticipated every need that you might have during your stay. The kitchen is well- stocked if you want to cook, there are lots of linens, beach toys and chairs, and even candles for ambiance. On arrival there were basic food supplies to use until we could go to the grocery store (there are nice ones within a 10 minute drive). Everything was as described on the VRBO website, if not better. Both the owners and Dondra were easy to communicate with (before and during our stay). Dondra met us at Customs and we followed her to the villa. You can reach every part of the island within 20 minute, if not sooner. The Anguillans we have met or come in contact with have all been very helpful and welcoming. The pool is a good size and well maintained, as are the house and grounds of the villa. Don't miss the Anguillan Heritage Collection Museum and, if you are lucky, you may get to meet the director, Mr. Coville Petty, a local historian and a wealth of information about Anguilla. We enjoyed many of the beaches, and had delicious meals. Anguilla is readying for the 50th Anniversary of Independence from St Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla during May and it is the perfect time to come visit this lovely island. We hope to return here in the future.
The house was super comfortable and had everything we needed. Susan was such a great host and sent us loads of info prior to arrival. We had to contact the management company a couple of times and they responded and helped us right away. The housekeeper was very sweet and it was great to come back every afternoon to a tidy and clean house! I would recommend the house and Anguilla!
We have stayed at many rentals in the islands and this by far was the most well equipped and managed one we have encountered. Everything you could possibly need was on hand as soon as you arrive. The house is very roomy, well designed and decorated. It is in a very quiet location with no traffic noise and best of all the pool is very private from the view of any neighbors. Situated on a hill there was constant cooling breezes and we never felt any need to use the A/C. Although Anguilla is a very dry island we encountered brief rain showers every day and night. The huge wrap around porch kept us dry and gave excellent sun protection. Speaking of sun the house is positioned for amazing sunsets! We loved the rental and Anguilla. It is not a crowded island, easy to drive, safe, friendly people and best of all an endless supply of different beaches and restaurants to explore. We looked at several rentals and as you may well know they get hugely expensive so I feel this is one of the best values on the island.
The villa was exactly as advertised. The house is beautiful and it had everything we needed. Susan and Phillip provided very helpful information and instructions that covered everything that we could have wanted to know. The Gardner and housekeeper were extremely friendly they were so conscious of our privacy though that we only saw them briefly. They did a fantastic job keeping everything in order and keeping us comfortable. We loved all of the restaurants and beaches. We rented a car from the Desaito's recommended rental service run by Neville Gumbs. That worked out very well and we loved driving around the island and seeing all of the beaches and restaurants.
There is only one word to describe the villa: Wow. Being a frequent traveler, I have stayed in many villas but this one is by far the most beautiful. There is everything you need for a great stay. A huge kitchen where you can find everything you need for cooking, spacious rooms, well appointed a comfortable stay. All surrounded by sliding doors that illuminate the house. Cleaning every day (thanks Diana). And what about the pool, spacious, clean with a small staircase to go down quietly. Little more, buoys and inflatable mattresses for children to play in the pool.
Finally, Phil and Sue are super interesting tips on local life as on the different places to do (sightseeing, beaches, restaurants). A big thank you to them also that allowed us to have a wonderful stay with our two children.
This was one the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations we have ever had. My boyfriend and I spent 10 days in this beautiful villa and enjoyed every moment. The location is great, close to everything, but in a very private and secluded location. We loved having our own private pool right outside our door and enjoyed taking a swim early in the morning and relaxing by the pool overlooking the harbor with a glass of wine and some good jazz on the stereo in the afternoon. The house is immaculate, well decorated and lacked for nothing. The owners even arranged for the housekeeper to shop for staples for us prior to our arrival so we didn't have to run right out to the store on our arrival. They even included a bottle of wine and cheese, which was much appreciated after a long travel day. The beaches in Anguilla are some of the best in the world and the food choices on the island are wide and varied. We found a nice little stretch of beach that was very quiet and rented beach chairs and umbrella from one of the locals there. He also had a little bar and grill and waited on us all day. At lunchtime he offered grilled local fish or chicken with fresh fruit and veggies which was delicious! All in all, a perfect vacation. We will definitely be back!
The villa is located in a quiet residential neighborhood.
