From one of our Guest. This condo is nothing short of fabulous. The work and care that the owners have invested into the property is obvious and their attention to detail makes it as stunning on the inside as the ocean views on the outside. We felt like we were home, with all the amenities one could possibly need. From beach toys to towels to every kitchen item one could imagine, it was all there! What a gem! Lastly, I just want to mention that we had a few questions prior to arrival and during our stay and the owners could not have been more pleasant and helpful. How fortunate they are to have this piece of paradise and how lucky we are that they are willing to share it with us! A stay here is highly recommended!

Terry and Bonnie Alfriend live in Pebble Beach, CA. We have 2 grown children, Kyle and Kim and 4 grandchildren. The entire family dives and Maui is wonderful for family scuba trips.

We are a family of divers and nothing is better than the waters of beautiful Maui. Terry is a research Professor and spends time with students at the Tech Park in Maui. This is our second home, thus the incredible design, amenities and furnishings. Certainly far from your typical vacation rental.
The Palms of Wailea is the most popular resort in Wailea, home to Maui's most beautiful beaches championship golf courses and tennis courts. We have taken a dated condo and completely re-built and re-modeled the interior to breathtaking design and decor. We added central air conditioning - very hard to find in Maui and all the upgrades and appointments plus supplies necessary for your most enjoyable Aloha vacation. Renting direct from an owner affords you the knowledge of knowing the exact condo and location you will have. Outrigger or another management company you are taking a big change. We hear so many complaints from people that renting from these situations - holidays in Maui are too precious to take that chance.

The booking and renting experience was easy - well-organized and no issues whatsoever.
The pictures of the unit and location are accurate. The exception is that the map link on VRBO to show location of complex is not accurate.
Pluses: Affordable - across the street beach side you can expect to double the price. Nice location - easy to hop over to Ulua Beach and do the ocean front 1 mile walk. Easy to jump on the Pilani Highway. Everything is only minutes away by car. View - very nice ocean view from the living room. Well-appointed kitchen.
Minuses: A few ants - but hey it's the tropics. Put your stuff in the refrigerator and you're fine. 2nd bedroom gets pretty hot in the morning as the sun comes up - the AC not as strong in there. This is partially an Outrigger owned complex and private owned. The desk caters only to Outrigger people - so if you need something printed you need to go over to the Marriott business center for example. No reclining lounge chairs on the lanai.
We booked our very first Maui trip in September after the kids are back in school hoping to avoid the crowds. We couldn't have chosen a better place than this condo in Wailea Maui! During our 8 night stay we had the pool most mornings to ourselves. Our favorite beach was within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully landscaped grounds. So many beautiful flowers and lush tropical plants. The inside of the condo exceeded our expectations. Beautiful view from the Lanai and living room and all the rooms were large. We will return! My wife and I spent 6 days in Maui at this unit. The experience was excellent. The amenities are very comfortable. The location is excellent. Bonnie was very helpful and organized by providing us with information about the condo and local attractions and restaurants. This was a very positive experience and an excellent place to stay. I would definitely recommend this unit. The unit is large and provides all the comforts required for a great vacation. The fact that Bonnie and her husband provide free telephone call to the USA and Canada was much appreciated and convenient when "checking in with family at home".
We just spent 3 weeks in this fantastic townhome. This is a well appointed 2nd floor, 2 bedroom unit. Massive lanai with both sun and shade areas. A well decorated, spacious unit with a full facility kitchen & modern appliances. You can walk to the beach & The Shops at Wailea, plus there is a great walking circuit around "the block." Large bedrooms, very good quality beds, extreme comfort. A well decorated, truly wonderful unit. I highly recommend it, except for the weeks that we want to book it.
We have stayed in this great condo for 3 years in a row and have loved our stay each time. The condo is spacious and bright and the air conditioning and BBQ are a real bonus. We walked to beaches and shopping and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and beautiful pool at The Palms. Something is always in bloom and the grounds are lovely. We had not rented from owners before but chose Bonnie and Terry from the excellent reviews. They were so helpful and provided us with lots of valuable information about Maui. You couldn't find better owners to deal with. We would highly recommend this condo and would definitely stay here again.
This condo was amazing! Perfectly decorated and equipped with everything you could need. The gourmet kitchen was great to prep all our meals and the kids loved the pool. Highly recommend this condo for anyone who loves South Maui. It is so close to the shops and great beaches. There was enough room for all of us. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. I would stay here again...and again!!!!!
Wailea has the most upscale luxury golf environment in Maui. Championship courses, championship tennis courts, fitness center, shops of Wailea - all within the Wailea community. Home of many of Maui's most famous beaches for both scuba and snorkeling.
