Guanacaste Villa Rental Photos and Description

Villa, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Suenos II is a new condominium community built in 2006 on a hill behind Tamarindo. It is a 5-7 minute walk to the village and beach. The community is beautifully landscaped with tropical plants indigenous to the region. A 24hr/day security guard oversees the compound. A swimming pool in the middle of the complex with an outdoor shower affords a great way to cool off after a day on the beach and surfing in the sea. The condos have Spanish architectural details such as wrought-iron balconies off the 2nd floor bedroom that faces the pool. French doors open onto the balcony from the bedroom. Air-conditioning in each bedroom assures a comfortable sleep. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with hot-water showers. Bathroom towels and linens are provided. Downstairs there is a kitchen with 4-burner stove/oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, and plenty of cupboard space for food. The open plan downstairs is light-filled and airy. Lounge on the couch while you watch some TV or your favorite DVD. Internet is provided.

If you like to jog or walk in the morning the complex is a one minute walk to a nature trail/dirt road which enters the rainforest and eventually forks up a hill. The short distance to the summit affords you a beautiful view of Tamarindo and the Pacific Ocean.

Keywords: condo, 2 bedrooms, clean, affordable, zip line over canopy, , surf, rainforest tour, national park, spa, sail, swim, horseback ride, gated community with communal swimming pool, tropical landscaping, secure, quiet, romantic,

Why Kenny Gronningsater chose Guanacaste

The condo is a five minute walk to the best surfing in Costa Rica; it provides easy access to the rain forest and all the activities within. A 5-7 minute walk brings you to restaurants, bars and the center of town where a variety of shops abound; The complex has 24hr. security so you, your kids, and your property are safe. Our unit has hot water and internet.

What makes this villa unique

It's clean, attractive, safe, affordable, and we love the Spanish architecture of the condos with French doors that open onto a balcony with wrought-iron rails and a view of the complex with its tropical landscaping and kidney-shaped pool. The enclosed complex with 24 hour security means your kids are safe.

We enjoyed our month stay in Tamarindo. The accommodation was ok. The kitchen items need updating. Only one large fry pan...much too big for the burner. Pots are Teflon lined and very scratched....I wouldn't use them. One nice stainless steel pot but no lid. A toaster oven would be nice. There was a broom...no dust pan or mop! Borrowed a mop from neighbor! Asked manager for mop but got no response! The master bed is totally worn out. When I washed the bedding I pulled back the mattress pad and the mattress is pretty much shredded...needs replacing. We walk lots but found the walk to the beach and stores is a bit much in 35C about 15 - 20 minutes uphill! We would take taxi back with groceries. It would be appreciated if towels for beach were provided. The condo complex is very quiet, nice to relax in the warm evenings. Small pool was inviting after day at beach and the walk back. The washing machine was a great bonus and clothes dried very quickly on the line provided. This is a gated complex but gates are open with very little security. The maintenance guy is there during the day but i wouldn't call him security, but nice guy! We found it safe but certainly not the security we had in Playa del Coco last year. If we return to Tamarindo we'll look for other accommodation.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your feedback. We bend over backwards to meet the high standards of our renters which include the installation of new air conditioners, new furniture for the sitting area, new holding tank for water in the event of a draught, the installation of a hot water system for showers and the tap, and WIFI. We sleep well with the knowledge we have provided excellent service for the price. We are sorry we did not meet your standards and hope you find accommodations to your liking on your next visit to the developing country of Costa Rica.

Kenny's place was clean and comfortable. The onsite staff is always helpful and available. The condo is conveniently located, not too far away from the beach, services, restaurants, etc ... It's quiet at night, we truly enjoyed it.

Thanks Kenny and Rosa !

Lovely experience!

  • 4 of 5

We spent five nights at Suenos II. We found it to be very pleasant accomodations. The beds were comfortable and each bedroom had its own private bath. The gaurds were so helpful and worked to remember our names even though our stay was shorter than most. Rosa was so good to us! We had an issue with cleaning arise upon arrival and she worked to make everything right. I would recommend to everyone with one caution-we had a car to drive and one day we walked from downtown. It was 90+ Degrees and had we done that everyday it would have been a challenge. There are taxis downtown you can hire for the ride back. On cooler days the walk would have been fine.

Home Away From Home!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I spent nearly 3 months renting this nice vacation property. It's in a new-ish complex of condos appointed with all the comforts us Gringos enjoy! The complex is just far enough out of "downtown" to be relaxing and quiet, but not so far that the walk is too much. It is gated, with a nice pool and shower (for rinsing off sand before heading inside!), and 24hr Security (although the area is incredibly safe, Andy, Luis & Giovanni are great guys who took very good care of us - from a quick fix of a leaky toilet to helping us with our Spanish!). The condo was clean and had every amenity we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook many nights and having the washing machine and clothesline was a huge plus. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Me gusta Costa Rica!

  • 5 of 5

Can't beat this place for the money. Owner (Kenny) and manager (Rosa) are very nice people. And the people in Costa Rica are just so nice, service everywhere so friendly, you just want to give them your money. For the price of a meal at a less than mediocre chain restaurant in the US, you can eat wonderful fresh food in Tamarindo- I had the best fish tacos, best scrambled eggs, best pizza, best chicken wings, best fruits/vegetables, I've ever had anywhere. Only minor downside was no chest/dresser in bedrooms to unpack, and it's maybe a quarter mile or less walk to the beach/restaurants. I would definitely recommend this condo to a friend.
