About Scott and Pam Port
The beautiful area of West Michigan from Silver Lake north through Ludington. Pentwater was always the favorite meeting place for family reunions and summer getaways. My wife's family all grew up in the area and her great uncle ran the Pentwater Bakery for over 25 years. Everyone in the family has a favorite activity in the Pentwater area, whether it is fishing, shopping, Lake Michigan Beaches, golfing, it is all here.

Repeat Guests. Love it!
This is the second time we have stayed at the condo (two Christmases in a row), and we just love it. It really is the perfect location to downtown Pentwater, the beach, Cenzos grocery, and our relatives' house in the village proper. We have found that the space is also much more useful than houses we have rented in the area. The living space and bedrooms are spacious, and the sleeping spaces are separated enough that everyone can be comfortable, rather than cramped. The views, being on the top floor of the building, are fantastic. The owners are also prompt, friendly, and gracious. They even put out Christmas lights and a tree for us in the condo, because we were staying over Christmas! 5 enthusiastic stars!
A very nice home away from home. The condominium was very clean and comfortable. This condominium's location is convenient to so many great things that Pentwater has to offer. The beach, boating, fishing, shopping, and restaurants to name a few. All of which are in walking or biking distance. The view from the balcony in the morning watching people kayak, sailboats, and the fishermen going out was very peaceful. Also, a nice area to go for a run or biking. I would definitely stay here again! LC
Great place to stay!
This condo was the perfect place to stay during the Pentwater Days events. We had an awesome vantage point from the deck to watch the parade. We enjoyed the convenient location to walk to the local shops and restaurants as well as the beach. Great town for biking and strolling. Great beach for swimming and boating.
The condo itself is very nicely furnished and met all our expectations. The beds were comfortable and the condo was very clean and well maintained. The owners were very nice and easy to work with. We highly recommend staying here and plan to come back!
Not sure why anyone wouldn't just fall in love with this place. The feeling of home grabs you the minute you enter the condo, not to mention it is equiped with everything one needs. As for the view it is simply amazing!!! Love the fact that we were inwalking distance to everything as well. I was also very pleased with the fact of air, towels and bedding, not all condos I have stayed at in the past have or give you these items. This is a must stay place well worth every penny!!!! I've got may dates set for fall and winter ice fishing, my son will just be in heaven.
PS: the nearby wineries were a blast!!!!
Too hot to enjoy and over charged
There are no draperies in the living area and no blinds on the deck therefore the westerly, late day sun overheated the living space. We hung sheets over the windows to attempt to shade the room. The air conditioning was not properly maintained leaving the upper level bedroom and living space unbearable. Due to the improper maintenance, the unit over heated and quit all together one day during our stay. I phoned and emailed until I reached a woman who tried to instruct me to reset the unit by flipping 3 switches on the back of the air conditioning unit. Clearly she didn't know where the switches were! I stood on a small refrigerator to reach the back of the unit as instructed and apparantly dented the refrigerator in my attempt to fix the air conditioner. I was charged $60 of my deposit for the damage to the refrigerator! I have left messages with my disappoinment with their decision to charge me rather than credit me for the discomfort my family endured but have received no return call.
In the three years of renting this property, we have never had such a review. In regards to the air conditioning, it is serviced every April and was immediately checked after this specific stay. The unit was declared fully functional and operating properly. As per description of the property, there are no shades on the large front windows that face SOUTH. This would cover the beautiful view of Pentwater Lake and No guest have ever complained before! The good news is we have now repaired the nail holes that these particular guest left in the trim and molding and repainted--the bed sheets they used as window shades are obviously of no longer use.
We really try to make the property as wonderful for our guest as possible, unfortunately these guest were not satisfied. I should have realized things might not go well when upon the first day, I was counseled by these guest that we should have furnished the property with king size beds vice queens, because they really do not cost that much more! Once again, we felt extremely disappointed that these guest did not enjoy their stay, but after relaying this review to some local Pentwater merchants and Sportsfishing Captains, we now understand. At first, they had a wonderful chuckle and then explained that this family is very well known. As one merchanted stated, if I had known, I would have warned you! All this aside, we do try our best to meet and exceed all of our guests expectations!

Summer Season-A 1 week minimum is preferred for the Summer Season. Specific number of days less than 1 week will be accepted only within 10 to 14 days prior to the requested date of arrival pending condo availability and at the discretion of the owners.
$250 Rental deposit required to hold dates. Deposit is subtracted from bill total. Cancellations within 90 days will result in loss of all deposits. A $300 security deposit will also be added and returned within two weeks of stay pending no damages or loss of items. We accept PayPal/Personal Check/Money Orders.
