Marci purchased this estate in 2011
The Chetco River Inn is a breathtaking wilderness estate constructed on 36 private acres surrounded by the Siskiyou National Forest and built by Clay and Sandra Bruger. Since it's creation, the Inn has inspired memories of warm hospitality, natural beauty, and unique outdoor activities. After changing owners a couple of times recently, the Chetco River Inn is open once again. The new caretakers Steve and Sherrie are ready to welcome all visitors.
In the summer months, we enjoy swimming and floating down the gentle Chetco river. In the winter, we love Salmon fishing and hiking the many surrounding acres. For more information about our wonderful property.
Very accommodating, a quiet (Frickles the rooster did his thing all day long, we didn't mind) peaceful cottage with Vineyard view. The rock house was just as described. Very clean and efficient. Our stay included swimming in the river.
I would give more stars if I could! If you are looking for a dog friendly place to get away from it all and say in a comfortable cabin on the banks of a pristine river look no further. It is off grid, has all the comforts and is close enough to town if you need to run in for supplies. Had a great time fishing and mushroom hunting! Many thanks to Kat and Oscar who were great hosts!
Loved this place! It was a beautiful little cabin with great amenities. We were there with our two pugs, and it was the perfect size for us. Four people would be fine there, but perhaps a bit tight if it wasn't close family. The property itself it so peaceful and gorgeous. The river is right outside your door. The caretakers who run it(Oscar and Kat), were extremely friendly and helpful. The farm animals on the property were adorable, and very sociable. I have already told my husband that I want to return there next year.
Off the beaten path
A retreat with your loved ones and nature
Doing stops and being can begin
Thank you, Kat and Oscar
Our family of 4 absolutely fell in love with the Chetco River and this property! We are definitely plotting our return. The caretakers are lovely people (and animal hosts). The location is idyllic. The River House met all our needs. We spent 2 nights a few days into a 2 week road trip and although our entire trip was super fun, it was hard not to just stay on longer and spend many more days relaxing in the river, adventuring more on surrounding trails, hanging out with the menagerie of animals....
Thank you Dan and Marci for sharing your beautiful place. We loved the Rockhouse. The animals were a welcome surprise. It was great to have Oscar around. We really enjoyed becoming friends with him. Loved the walks along the river and the great views from the chairs. Once again, Thank you for giving
us the chance to make wonderful memories. Happy Trails,Margie and Rick
