Enjoy morning coffee on your private outdoor seating area, listening to the sound of songbirds and nearby Santa Rosa Creek. We are located at the gateway to Sonoma Valley, the famous Valley of the Moon, home to dozens of world-class wineries. Within a five-mile radius you can visit the tasting rooms of Ledson, St. Francis, Chateau St. Jean, and Kunde Estate, among others. At the end of a busy day of sight-seeing, relax in the hammock, or have a BBQ on the patio.
The cottage is small but arranged with a traveler's needs in mind. You will find counter space in the bathroom for your toiletries, a gadget recharging area, places to set down your suitcases and hang up your clothes.
The kitchen comes stocked with coffee, a selection of teas, hot chocolate, creamer, sweeteners, and condiments for preparing meals such as cooking oil, butter and spices, as well as a few food items for last minute meals like instant soup, instant oatmeal, and pasta. When in season, we provide fresh eggs from our chickens and produce from the garden. Kitchen includes a 2-burner gas stove, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster dishes and utensils.
The bed is a queen-size with memory foam mattress and 100% cotton sheets. If you are traveling with a child under 12, we can provide a foam pad for the floor and bedding for no additional cost. Sorry, but the cottage cannot accommodate more than two adults and one child.

Robin and Sim are lifelong artists, avid gardeners, and outdoor enthusiasts. In 2012 they retired from nearly 20 years of owning a retail art supply store in Santa Rosa. In addition to Parkside Cottage, they now own an art gallery in Santa Rosa, Chroma Gallery at 312 South A Street, Santa Rosa. http://chromagallery.net/ Sim teaches art classes and workshops at the gallery, and both enjoy working in their extensive organic garden, or hiking, biking & kayaking in nearby Spring Lake and Annadel Parks. Sim is a native of Chicago, but after living in Sonoma County since the '70's he qualifies as a native. Robin is a native Californian hailing from the Monterey Peninsula, and has also lived in Sonoma County since the '70's. Since 1994, they have been the careful stewards of their charming 1 acre property and are delighted to share it with visitors.

What makes this Cabin unique
The location of our property lets us enjoy a natural setting while being close to town, which cuts down on the time spent driving. At home, with the sounds of the creek, the birds, and the closeness of the park, we always feel 'away from it all.'

Perfect for my two-night stay in March
Robin and Simmon, your cottage was wonderful: welcoming, clean and cozy. I had difficult family business to attend to in the area and I was able to rest and recuperate in between.
I'll be back!
Sweet little cottage and very helpful hosts
This cottage is a nice little place to stay at. The location is awesome. It sits next to a stream and the area has lovely trees and lots of birds, for those who like birding. We loved watching the wild turkeys walk by every morning! The kitchenette had everything we needed, including tea, coffee, and half & half. We couldn't figure out how to start the coffeemaker, so we called Robin and they were bringing us another coffee pot in minutes, just as we figured out it was user error. The bed was comfortable. The only complaint we had was it took awhile to get the cottage heated, but we were there in a real cold spell, so that's not a big problem. Otherwise a great stay!!
Quiet and convenient if you are visiting someone who lives in Spring Lake Village.
Charming property with garden on quiet private street
Met our needs perfectly
We spent a few days in Santa Rosa visiting family at Spring Lake Village. The convenience of Parkside Cottage could not be beat for our purposes, since it is literally a few steps away. We look forward to visiting again in a warmer season so we can take even more advantage of it.
Cute cottage with all the comforts of home
We really enjoyed our stay, we were close to everything. The cottage was fully stocked with everything a person could ask for. Would highly recommend staying there if u like the country style atmosphere 😄
Very comfortable, slightly rustic
My wife and I were here for a week in October and enjoyed it every day. It is in the middle of Sonoma County with countless wineries and tap rooms within a 30 minute drive. There are also wonderful state parks and beautiful Santa Rosa. We were able to find a local farmer's market, pick up a few things from the local grocery store, and enjoy making our own dinner on the grill. Robin and Simmon were very welcoming and made sure we felt at home. Lena (the cat) was just the opposite. She was perfectly content to bask a safe distance away on the warm patio while keeping a watchful eye on her visitors.
It gets a little chilly at night in the fall and this cottage does not have heat. Space heaters are provided, however we prefer the cool nights and choose not to use them. After a long day of hiking it felt great to lay down. The memory foam mattress is not what we were accustomed to so, although initially comfortable, it became difficult to sleep on after the fifth night or so (we were there for eight nights). To be fair, I would say the same about any bed that is not my own. The crisp nights, large single basin sink, garden, chickens, and mismatched dishes reminded me of my grandfather's cottage in northern Wisconsin (without the Ben Franklin stove, of course). This is a great stay for a long weekend out of the city.
Located at the entrance to Valley of the Moon, with dozens of world class wineries within a ten mile radius. Hike or bike directly into Spring Lake Park and Annadel State Park.
