The Apartment is located a 100 meters from Rialto Bridge, and five minutes from San Marco square.
The apartment is in first floor of old Venetian building,

The location of this apartment it's on a very quiet street, yet it's just a five minute walk to Rialto's market and bridge, a one minute walk to the Vaporetto and the surrounding area has plenty of food stores and restaurants. (Caffe del Doge is just a few streets away and is the perfect way to start the day.) The apartment itself was comfortable and well stocked for cooking meals and resting after a day of walking around Venice.
You will find near the Grand Canal with gondolas and gondoliers who sing Venetian songs.
This stay in Venice will be a unique memory that will stay with you forever.

This Venice apartment is wonderfully quirky. The building is over 1000 years old with gorgeous architectural details, and renovated with a tiny kitchentte. The ceiling in the loft is a bit low, and the split staircase a tad strange, but the apartment has the best location near the Rialto Bridge and is convenient to everything! Very quiet street, but some of the neighbors like loud music. Elisabetta and Dimitri were gracious hosts, especially coming to our rescue when my husband locked the keys in the apartment. FYI, many stairs in case that's a problem. Highly recommended!
My wife and I just returned from a 12 day trip to Italy and we stayed at this apartment while in Venice from 5/9 to 5/14.
Situated in San Polo, this apartment is the perfect definition of Venice living. If you're into living like a local while you're away, then this apartment is perfect for you. The apartment is located on a small side street in San Polo with it's own canal. Nearby is a ton of awesome restaurants, a bank and is literally less than an 8 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. It's also close by to some of Venice's best cichetti bars which quickly became our favorite haunts.
Demetri met us at the Rialto Market vaporetto stop (San Silvestro stop is closed for maintenance) and walked us to the apartment while pointing out specific sites of the area. He even wheeled my wife's bag which was super nice.
The apartment is quaint and perfect for two people. It's located in a building that's over 1000 years old and is one of the most charming spaces I've ever had the opportunity to stay in. It's super quiet, nicely appointed with woodwork dominating the space and perfect for your needs. It has a nice gas cooktop (no oven) and an espresso maker and hot water boiler.
The bathroom is cozy and typical for Italy. Which means you hold the shower head over you manually versus the traditional stand up shower you'll find in the US. For us, this only added to the local feel of the place.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this apartment to anyone who's looking to rent a property in Venice. The owners are wonderful people and easy to communicate with. If you want to know what it's like to be a real Venetian, rent this apartment. You will not be disappointed.
Grazie mille Elisabetta and Demetri!
I adored my stay in this apartment. If I ever go back to Venice, and I hope I do, I would stay here again, without hesitation.
Elisabetta and her family are very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to emails. Her son met me at my Vaporetto stop and introduced me to the neighborhood and the apartment. The location is perfect. The apartment is so close to the san Silvestro stop, and off the square there's an atm, a small grocery store, lots of coffee and pastry shops, and several nice restaurants. Just a bit farther, there's the Rialto Bridge and Market area and all it has to offer. I know Venice is small, but really, everything you could need are so close to this particular apartment.
Many of the apartment listings I saw for Venice have photos of the apartment interior, then some that are just of scenic, well-known spots around Venice. Silly me, I didn't realize that ALL of those gorgeous photos listed with this site are of the view *immediately* beyond the front door. I cannot overstate how perfectly situated, peaceful, and lovely this apartment and its neighborhood are. There's no more a perfectly Venetian spot than this.
Inside, it's clear that the place was built with a lot of love and is cared-for and very clean. The woodwork is charming and so well-made and thoughtfully suited to the place. The white curtains filter the light so nicely. I loved waking up in the bed loft. It would take someplace extremely unique and beautiful to make staying inside while in beautiful Venice worthwhile, and this is the place. It felt like I was Snow White, living in a place built for me by the 7 Dwarves!
(I'm about 5'10", and did not have to bend in the loft or the bathroom, but if you are much taller than that, you would have to, and it's something to consider. I'm also not terribly coordinated, but the little loft steps were just fine.)
I think I would have loved the city of Venice even if I'd stayed in a cardboard box, but having this absolutely beautiful apartment to come home to made my time in Venice even more special. Highly, highly recommended.
The owner was responsive and helpful. Someone was sent to meet us at the Vaporetto and he helped with our bags. The apartment was clean and sufficient, but there are no bells and whistles. The architecture of the space can make things feel a bit cramped and dark, but the apartment is located on a quiet street with a side canal, which makes it somewhat of a refuge. San Polo is a great place to stay if you're trying to avoid the most crowded parts of the city. Short walk to the Rialto Bridge and Market. Short walk to the best restaurant in Venice (Osteria Da Fiore). Good bars, restaurants, pizza and chichettis to be found nearby. We did not cook in the apartment, but there was equipment for doing so.
Perfectly located and thoughtfully renovated, this apartment is in a very quiet area, adjacent to a convent, yet just a few minutes walk to the Rialto bridge. I was met at the vaparetto stop on time and given a warm welcome and overview of the neighborhood. I have rented through VRBO in Paris, Florence and other cities. This was one of the best. Don't miss the nearby Rialto mercato. Grazie for a wonderful stay in beautiful Venice!
Super gelegen. Sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Für langen Aufenthalt vielleicht etwas klein und dunkel. Aber man will ja Venedig sehen. Insgesamt empfehlenswert.
