I really didn’t want to leave. The flat was everything we needed and more. Super comfortable, pretty and convenient. Gorgeous bathroom, comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. The location couldn’t be better. I really love Carcassone and want to come back (and stay in the same apartment!)
Thank you for your comments. It was great to have have. Please please do return. We would love to have you back.
Beautiful apartment in Carcassonne
We stayed in this lovely apartment in Carcassonne for three nights and we loved the apartment. It is close to restaurants and cafes, close to shopping areas and an easy walk to La Cité. The apartment is very clean and well equipped and Philip was very helpful on our arrival. Lovely stay!
This is a terrific flat: spacious, clean, great common area and good bedrooms. Prior to arrival I was wrongly (my fault) under the impression that we were in the walled city. The location of this flat is BETTER...close, but in a lovely walking part of the city with shops, cafes and everything you need to commute up to the castle. Would highly suggest staying here.
PERFECT STAY IN CARCASSONNE
The apartment and it's location were perfect and we had a lovely stay. Our only problem was the heat during our stay. Whilst efforts have been made in the apartment to utilise cooling fans, these were insufficient and too noisy to leave on during the night.
Roomy appartment great location
We arrived by train and walked to the appartment where Philip met us to show us around. The appartment accommodated 4 single women comfortably . Great having 2 bathrooms.
Lovely Pied a terre in Carcassonne
The perfect location for a stay in Carcassonne & lovely accommodation. Philip was very helpful and we had a great meal on his recommendation. Highly recommended.
A short walk will bring you to the historical medieval Cité, Carcassonne’s ancient walled city is a fairytale collection of drawbridges, towers and atmospheric cobbled streets.
Close by is Place Carnot where you will find a number of restaurants, cafes and bars. Saturday morning is a ‘big’ market day in Carcassonne and the Place hosts a busy colourful Flower, Fruit and Vegetable market. The covered market located on the corner of Rue du Dr Albert Tomey and Rue Aime Ramond sells a selection of mouth-watering fresh regional produce; butchers, charcuterie, fish-mongers, fowl and smoked meats, while the Flea and Clothing market can be found along the Boulevard Barbès. Smaller markets occur during the week.
Early December starts a month of Christmas festivities. Carcassonne switches on its lights from the Bastide Saint Louis to the Medieval Cite offering the very best of Christmas entertainment including concerts, live shows, ice rink, a giant revolving eye, toboggans and a pretty Christmas market.
During the Summer months there are a number of music and cultural festivals with outdoor concerts and a fantastic fireworks display over the castle to celebrate Bastille day on the 14th of July each year.
Within a short drive is Carcassonne beach where there are water sports for all ages, from leisurely paddle boats to a water activity and adventure centre for the kids.
There are numerous wineries in the area. Carcassonne is surrounded by the Terroir Corbières, Minervois and Limoux regions offering ample opportunities for visiting local wineries and sampling their produce.
