Beyond Satisfied! Clean Comfy Beautiful Vistas

  • 5 of 5

This was our first Cabin rental in the N Georgia mountains. Perfect location in Cherry Log close enough to Blue Ridge Ellijay and Aska with as much outdoors to do as you want or as little to do if relaxing and just kicking back in a quaint clean cabin with tremendous views is your goal. Loved it and would recommend to family and friends!

Beautiful retreat with amazing views

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfect for a mountain getaway! The cabin is immaculate, and the views are spectacular! I loved the big screened porch, and the outside deck with the HUGE hot tub. It was so nice to sit outside and enjoy our morning coffee while looking across the Blue Ridge mountains. It's only a quick 10 minute drive into the town of Blue Ridge, and it is worth the short drive: restaurants, Mast General Store, gift shops, train rides, etc. We will definitely return to Eagle's Nest!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. The cabin was perfect for a relaxing getaway. It was secluded enough for us and the porch and hot tub offered a gorgeous view of the mountains. We will definitely consider this cabin again when we return to the mountains.

Satisfied customer

Description of the property was accurate. Property was definitely clean and well-maintained. Matt did provide good service when I bugged him about something during our stay. I would recommend this property to friends. Now to the details...

We definitely enjoyed our stay. The view was everything in the pictures and more. The sky over the hot tub is amazing, especially with all the lights off (on the deck and in the hot tub). The bed was comfy. No real complaints about anything.

The Benton Mackaye (sp?) trail was kind of a mystery. We tried to hike it several times, but had no success. Part of the road to the cabin is actually the trail, but to find some actual part of it to hike near the cabin seemed impossible. There's a road across 76 called "benton mackaye trail" that basically doesn't lead to the trail. Another one just down 76 that looked better on the map looked promising, but the same. So for hikers, you'll have to try harder than we did to get to that trail, or there were some fine trails on Aska road just outside of Blue Ridge. We did the flat creek loop, which was about 3 hours, and was plenty for one day, for us. We actually found those by accident. We were on our way down Aska road to a trail-head for the Appalachian trail. Hell, just walking down the road from the cabin to the mailboxes and back is a decent hike. Took us about 2 hours, but we were walking slow. But if you do this, toward the bottom, there's an actual trail that veers off from the road and follows the creek for a while that was really nice.

We had a *great* time at Grumpy Old Men Brewing. They're only open for like 3-4 hours only 3 days a week, but its $10 for a glass, and they'll fill it for you with a wide variety of really good beer as many times as you like. This is what they call the "tour". lol. I think Fannin and Blue Ridge Brewing had something similar, but the vibe at GOM was great. And so was the beer. I'm kind of a beer snob, and only one of the 10 or so I tried did I not thoroughly enjoy.

Fightingtown tavern was nice. They had a good beer selection, and decent menu. Service was good too. Masseria had GREAT pizza, and really good beer selection.

Reasons for no 5-star rating: bring your own TP. The TP provided is kind of a joke. Like, why skimp on this? The coffee filters provided were miniature, and we didn't know it when we went shopping or we would have bought our own when we bought our own coffee (because that is not provided).

A charming cabin in a beautiful location. Early evenings in the hot tub always capped a good day. The views are to die for. Matt was very accommodating and friendly. We highly recommend this cabin.
